About: From a young age, I've had a special bond with dogs. My parents took in neighborhood samoyeds and newfoundlands that had been abandoned by their owners. I grew up with them, trained them, did my best to make sure their home was loving. Since my neighbors knew I was good with large dogs, I frequently dog sat for them. I quickly became an expert in leash technique, engaging play, making sure they were fed right, and just plain being there for them. I don't have any dogs right now (my apartment is way too small) but I know I'll meet that special fluffy guy when I get a bigger place. I'm available nearly all the time, as I'm not currently working and am only doing occasional volunteering in the Bitter Lake/Greenwood/Shoreline area. I have the availability of a tireless assistant! I have worked as a dog handler, or what we refer as a pack leader, at a doggy daycare located in the West Loop neighborhood in the past for over two years. I am certified in canine first aid, and I usually spend around 8-9 hours a day with medium to big dogs and also cats. I have gained a lot of experience by spending time with dogs that have different behaviors, from friendly to aggressive, I have not faced any issues with dogs yet. I have experience taking care of small-big dogs for years whether it be for family members, my own and to even taking care of a bearded dragon for a few months for school. Nonetheless I do my research beforehand and offer a safe space for your pet with lots of room and privacy I currently work part time and do online school at my own pace. I’m free all week Monday-Sunday mornings-mid day. Late afternoons I take night shifts 3 days out of the week, but for the most part I am free. I’ve helped two female dogs give birth, and taken care of the 9 puppies for 8 weeks. I like to teach dogs and to reward them for good behavior. About: Hi! My name is Monica and I recently graduated from Indiana University. I’ve grown up around animals my entire life, so caring for them has always come naturally to me. While I was in college, I fostered through local animal shelters, which gave me experience caring for animals with all different personalities, ages, and needs. About: I have loved pets since I was a kid. I was obsessed with learning about them. After my first pet died, I was very motivated on learning about how to offer pets the very best life, and this comes through research! I have worked with a variety of animals. Working at PetSmart allowed me to get a better hands on experience as it opened a door to working with cats, sick animals who needed medication, and working with large numbers of pets. This also helped me see what methods worked and what methods to avoid when taking care of our beloved pets. I have a very flexible schedule and will be available for you and your pets. I don’t have a set schedule yet due to work and school. Safety is my top priority. You know your pet best, I will work with what I have and incorporate new techniques and ideas once your pet trusts me. I have a porch that is safe meanwhile my garage is being built at the moment.

I have a fur baby of my own, my 1 year old beagle Pete, and he is an extremely energetic, mischievous, stubborn, and anxious little guy. I’ve raised Pete since he was 11 weeks old, so I know all there is to know about puppies and take caring for them very seriously. As someone who follows a pretty structured routine for an anxious dog, I know how important it is to stick to schedules and make sure pets are getting enough walks, enrichment, playtime, love, and attention to help them feel safe and settled while their parent is away. I’ve personally paid people a lot of money to care for Pete because I ask for a lot (literally down to leaving instructions to keep Gilmore Girls on the TV because he likes it lol), so trust me when I say there is nothing “too much” or “too specific” that you can ask of me. I completely understand how important routines and comfort are for our pets because I’m the exact same way with my own dog. I also have experience administering medications and caring for dogs after neutering and medical issues. Pete has dealt with prostate issues, so I’m comfortable handling medication schedules and paying close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, energy levels, and routines. It’s also worth mentioning that Pete, being a beagle, eats EVERYTHING and keeps me on my toes at all times. Because of that, I’ve become incredibly diligent, patient, observant, and adaptable. Some dogs are calm and cuddly, while others need more play, structure, patience, or stimulation and I’m comfortable adapting to all kinds of personalities and needs. As a dog mom myself I know how reassuring it is to get updates while you’re away, so I’ll happily communicate as much as you’d like. Expect lots of updates, photos, videos, and honest communication. I’m also never afraid to ask questions if I need clarification because I’d rather do things correctly than make assumptions. Most importantly, I want people to know I’m dependable and trustworthy. If you tell me your dog needs a 30 minute walk, we’re doing a full 30 minute walk. If your dog eats from a snuffle mat, has a specific bedtime routine, or can’t be alone after dark, I’m going to follow those instructions exactly as asked. I know how hard it is to trust someone else with your baby, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. Right now I’m focusing on walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays in clients’ homes rather than bringing additional pets into my own home environment. Pet care already plays a big role in my daily routine, so I’m very comfortable maintaining structured schedules, walks, feeding routines, potty breaks, enrichment, and consistent care. I’m available throughout the day and evening Thursday through Sunday, and I also offer weekday availability Monday through Wednesday during early mornings and evenings. I’m dependable, communicative, and committed to making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I totally get how important trust and consistency is when someone is caring for your pet (I am that person that has given our dog sitter a 4 pager play by play of my puppy’s routine lol!). I’m very attentive to routines, safety, and following owner instructions closely, whether that involves feeding schedules, crate routines, medication, walks, enrichment, or household rules. I always prioritize keeping pets calm, comfortable, and secure in their familiar environment and will communicate regularly with updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I am so diligent with my own fur baby when it comes to structure but also play time and potty time- so when I say I’m going to ensure your pet has all those things I mean it! At this time, I focus on care in clients’ homes and individualized attention rather than bringing additional pets into my own home environment (my fur baby is definitely an only child lol).
About: I’ve take care of my friend’s dog while she’s away for traveling. My responsibilities included ensuring frequent and timely potty breaks and managing his high energy levels through structured play and walks. I strictly adhered to his feeding routine and followed all specific care instructions provided by my friend. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 13, mainly my own, but I’ve also taken care of friend’s and family friend’s dogs in these past 3 years, so I understand the anxiety or fear of leaving a part of your family in the care of someone that isn’t you and won’t treat your pet like you will. That’s why I always adjust and accommodate my services to every pet’s needs. When it comes to basic care of pets, I always take puppies and dogs on walks at whichever time of day that they need to go out, always making sure to bring snacks and water so they always stay hydrated and healthy. I make sure they have enough playtime inside and outside so they don’t get bored and are entertained. I understand that not every dog wants to play or can’t move too much, so I of course adjust these activities to accommodate every pet’s individual needs so they’re always comfortable and happy. I also have experience with senior care, specifically giving dogs the medicines they need at the intended hours of the day or night. It goes without saying that my main priority are the pets in my care so I also make sure to always check up on every pet at different hours and times, rarely leaving them out of my sight (while also keeping my distance if they’re resting) to ensure they’re always okay. I work part-time remotely since I finished university in March of 2024. So I have no issues with times and days that will work best for you and your pets! I care for pets in client’s homes by making sure they’re never missing anything, from food, water, toys, time to go to the bathroom, medicines if they take them, etc… I make sure pets understand I’m simply there as an aid for them and someone they can play with if they choose to! I’m simply there to ensure every pet is taken care of while also having time to play and give them their space, after all, it’s their home and they need to feel the most comfortable and safe in their own space.

About: I have two fur babies of my own that are Golden mixes and siblings. Elvis is the more active scaredy cat if you will while Priscilla loves to swim but is a huge couch potato otherwise. I also have grown up around dogs and collectively within my immediate family we own 11 dogs total of all shapes and sizes! Don't worry, they don't all live together, but they do go on play dates. That being said, I am comfortable with feeding, walking, and playtime as well as delivering medicine your pup may need. In addition, I am comfortable with watching a dog who may have separation anxiety and need full time supervision. Other animals I have taken care of are rabbits, hamsters, and fish. Being a fur mama myself, I know it can be nerve-wracking trusting someone with your baby, however, I will love your fur baby like my own! No need to ask about cuddles, belly rubs, and playtime, those are complimentary! I currently have a semi-flexible schedule to meet your pet's needs! I teach during the day (8-3:20) but am available before or after work on weekdays. I am usually free on the weekends though and update my calendar often. Your pets are my priority so I will make sure to be communicative about my schedule in advance. I like to make sure I follow the pet's routine and I make sure to give them extra love as I am sure they miss their parents! For dog walking, I will ask you about your pet's favorite walking path or generally what they like to do on walks. For dog sitting, lots of playtime will occur!

About: As an owner of two senior dogs I have learned that they need extra patience and care. I make sure the dogs are feeling comfortable and relaxed by taking the dogs outside as they need to use the bathroom and sun bath for a while. But I also like to give them plenty of time inside if they just want to rest and be pet or cuddled. It's important they get excersise too with some play time or a walk. Pet care goes smoothly with my schedule as a mom and a flea market vendor. My husband Julian does help out in every activity with our pawed guests too. We include a free walk for every day of the stay. Dogs will be taken out to the yard on demand or twice an hour for potty times. For all dogs we will provide two separate hours of play time during the day. If a dog has high energy we will play for about 10 minutes after every potty time. Some of the safety measures with my service include having a fenced back yard, being outside with the dogs until they are ready to go back inside, and having a calm and cozy environment for each individual dog or cat guest.
