I tend to live an active lifestyle and that means hiking/walking/and lots of exercise. Rest assured both me and your pooch will be getting a good workout! In the past I've facilitated overnight lodging for dogs, and temporary stays of up to a few days. Be noted I do not currently have a large open or fenced in yard. I work with neighbors and friends pets on quite a regular basis! I regularly feed, train, walk & care for pets when away or on business! I work from home so this environment provides a perfect spot for pets to be nurtured & played with consistently! I always check prior to booking any special exercise and or dietary needs of your pet. Ensuring door remain locked when inside and timer's are set for when pets receive food upon client preference. Safety is of the upmost priority, so I will discuss a full plan and schedule so you know where you pup is and his progress while away. I will send regular check in photos to provide accountability for myself and the clients well being.

About: I discovered my love for animals when my mom rescued a Shiba Inu shortly after my dad died. Since then, I've made every effort to learn as much as I can about cats and dogs, including going to professional grooming school and I'm currently working on becoming a certified dog trainer. Most of my experience with cats has come from my sister and her roommate, but I love cats just as much as I love dogs I do have another part time job, but scheduling is flexible so I'll have plenty of time in the day to check on your buddy! I'm very conscious of their safety and always use a leash, always make sure fenced areas are secure, and that there's no toxic plants around them. My own have a history of bolting/running away, so these things have become 2nd nature for me.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages and personalities—from energetic puppies to senior pets needing extra patience and medication. I’m experienced with large breeds, high-energy dogs, shy or timid pets, and reactive dogs that need a calm, confident handler. I’m also comfortable administering medications and following detailed feeding schedules, medication routines, training plans, and any other instructions that help keep your pet happy and comfortable. Before moving to North Idaho, I spent 13 years in law enforcement. That career taught me responsibility, attention to detail, clear communication, and how to stay calm under pressure—qualities I now bring to every pet I care for. I moved here for a slower pace of life, and caring for animals has been the perfect fit. I can’t wait to meet you and your pet! My schedule is open and flexible to care for your furry family member! I am open to short notice bookings and update my calendar for availability regularly. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision. Whether we’re going on walks, playing fetch, sticking to a routine, or simply providing companionship while you’re away, I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own. “Katie is wonderful! I was apprehensive about leaving our sweet girl Piper at a pet resort. Piper has a lot of anxiety issues and I just didn’t like the atmosphere. About: I work remotely and love taking walks throughout the day to stop looking at screens. I go for frequent runs, walks and hikes and love taking a dog with me, just let me know if you would like your pup to get extra exercise! I live in downtown CDA area with a large fenced yard and a great neighborhood for walks! I only take in one dog at a time. I had both dogs and cats growing up and I'm a proud Aunty of all my friends dogs when they are out of town. I always look forward to it! If you have a strong high energy dog, don't sweat it. I had a retriever/chow mix for 14 years and I'm stronger than I look. :) Currently I work in real estate so I make my own hours and have plenty of time to walk your pup and give them extra attention I have a large fenced yard, a good size home for them to roam around, and a great neighborhood for long walks. <3 danyelle .
