About: I have always been a cat person. Since I was a babe. Since our first family cats. The Gray one that we named 'Smog' used to try to lick my face! Even though we grew up with mostly outdoor/indoor cats and I have even befriended some semi-feral 'barn cats'. When I got *my* cat, I was very slow to begin to let her outside freely. I understand that some cats are better suited to being indoor only cats. I know some of the 'tricks' to making good friends with cats, and one is just for them to see you enough times in a calm state that they feel they can trust you. I deeply care about helping cats feel safe and nurtured. Once I know their personality, I am really good at knowing if something different or difficult is going on with them. I have made some really beautiful connections with different cats and seen amazing abilities from them when befriending new people.
“We booked Alisa for a long trip we had planned. (9 days) From the very first meet & greet, my kitties were relaxed, curious and friendly with her. She did an awesome job. She arrived on time, and from the photos, I could see the cats were curious and slowly getting to know her. She gave me just enough little commentary to know all was well and to bring me a few smiles. She reached out with a couple of relevant questions. She also made our homecoming so great...all the trash was taken out, she vacuumed up the kitty litter that they always spill out, and it was clear that they were happy campers. About: New to Boise! I have taken care of pets as a side job for the past 20 years and had my own pets. I am currently without a dog/pet. My last two dogs were rescue dogs. I have fostered numerous cats and dogs in addition to having my own. I am a retired public school teacher from SC. I have a kind heart and animals are usually drawn to me. Love the outdoors and enjoy walking pets in them! I am a single empty nester who has been teaching for 29 years. I live and teach near West Asheville. I can stay overnight on school nights, but only if it is within 30 miles. I am available all weekend and holidays (Except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day this year). My hours at school are from 7:30 am to 3:00. I do have an hour planning/lunch break if you are close to the school. Otherwise, if your pet can't go from 7:30 to 3:00 on school days, then I may not be the best fit. My pets are like my family. I treat them and their owners’ homes as if they were my own. I like to go by the motto 'leave it better than you found it." Your pet will be happy and your house will be clean when you return.
