About: I grew up with animals and as an adult i have had cats and dogs my whole life. I have also enjoyed caring for friends and family pets when needed. I have volunteered at the ARL and received some training. I have an open schedule with lots of flexibility that allows for plenty of time to take care of or hang out with my furrbabies. About: I am a homeschool mom. I have had several dogs over the last 26 years from blue heelers, labradors, a lab/dane mix and most recently an Australian Shepherd. I've house-broken and crate trained all my puppies and we also adopted an adult rescue dog and acclimated him to family life. I've taken different obedience courses over the years and most recently am working on Rally Obedience with my aussie. My family, which includes my husband and two teenage daughters love dogs of all sizes and ages. I’ve got a very large fenced in back yard, a fun loving Aussie, and am home most of the time to give your fur baby lots of love and attention. I have recent experience in dog obedience and have house-trained puppies. I love to walk dogs and give them lots of attention. Because I homeschool, most days I am home and able to attend to dog or puppy care. Our two year old Aussie loves to play with other dogs and has earned his CGC-A. Backyard play or leash walking would be part of your pets care. On occasion we may go to a park and our dog often accompanies us. I have a large fenced in yard with lots of shade and green space to run around in. I have crates of various sizes to keep your dog safe and comfortable at night, when we leave for an errand or to retreat to as needed.

About: Growing up I have lived with dogs of all sizes and other animals such as farm animals my entire life. I know how to care for a pet to give them the best life possible, including all needed medications. Pets are family and they bring a lot of joy and meaning into our lives. I have a talent for taking great dog pictures, which I can send for updates! There is always water available, and will check by the hour for bathroom breaks, and can send you pictures and videos every few hours to inform you on how everything is going. About: I have been pet sitting since I was about 12 years old! I have pet sitted dogs, and cats! Each pet deserves as much attention and comfortablity when their owners/parents are away. About: I’ve had for dogs of every age and size for my entire life, but have been a serious caretaker of them for about 10 years. I can give medicines including insulin shots, and will heed every dietary and exercise need given to me. I’m currently working full-time, however I commute from Ames to Des Moines every day so I am used to driving long distances. I also have a very flexible schedule and can work from home if I can give at least 2-3 days notice; I can leave for long periods at lunch; and I can get off work early if a drop-in visit is needed before 4:00. About: Hi, I'm Emily! I'm not just a dog lover - I've been a dog mom to just about every size and personality. Over the years I've had a Chihuahua, Lab, Olde English Bulldog, American Staffordshire amd now we have an American Bully. I’m very comfortable with strong, energetic breeds as well as tiny lap dogs who think they run the house. We currently have an 80lb American Bully named Rosco. I particularly love the bully breeds - no judgment, just structure, play, and lots of affection. I know how to read body language for both a nervous 4lb Chihuahua and an 80lb Lab who thinks they’re a lap dog. I’ve cared for a dog who required a strict daily medication routine, so I am meticulous about timing, dosages, and watching for side effects. Pills, liquid meds, special feeding schedules - I’ve done it all and I take it seriously. My home is calm with a structured routine. My husband and I are early to bed and early to rise. I keep a clean but dog-proofed home with a predictable routine for potty breaks, walks, play, and rest. We walk in the mornings and sometimes again in the evening if the weather allows. I only book one client at a time so your pup(s) will get plenty of attention! It’s also important that your dog gets along with mine so I will schedule a meet and greet before we confirm. This helps ensure it’s a good match for everyone. I promise to send lots of updates, photos, and videos so you never worry. Your pup will be treated like family here - safe, loved, allowed on the couch and in the bed and very well cared for while you're away. I have a securely fenced yard and inside my home dogs have plenty of places to lounge, with dog beds, toys, and a quiet areas for naps. My home is non-smoking, no kids. We have one American Bully named Rosco. Rosco is neutered, two years old, about 80 lbs and loves other dogs. Rosco is a high energy dog who does best with dogs who are playful but also tolerant. Rosco also does great with smaller dogs and puppies. I am open to dogs over 40lbs but not more than 75lbs. I never leave dogs unattended without them being kenneled. I am home most of the day but utilize kennels when we’re gone for everyone’s safety. We follow a twice a day feeding schedule and I will gladly follow your instructions to the letter for feeding, crate time, and walks. I’m currently between jobs and have plenty of time for pet care. My husband works during the week and is around in the evenings and the weekends to help care for our pups. I have a fenced in yard a very friendly bulldog named Rosco to keep your pup company. I can also crate your pup if needed.
“This was my first time using Rover and I was pleased with Jessica’s quick response time and enthusiasm to meet and care for Blanca. The process was easy and drop off went smoothly. Jessica’s dog was in a kennel when we arrived to make drop off less stressful for both dogs. The pups were introduced after we left to get their sniffing done on neutral territory (on a walk out front). We received photos and updates during our whole time away and knew Blanca was happy and safe. We would be happy to use Jessica again in the future!”
