“Ally was really great with my dog Miller. She was very open with her communication and sent a lot of updates and pictures over the weekend. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter in the area. And will definitely let her watch my dog again in the future”

“This was our first experience with Rover and we cannot say enough good things about Meagan and the overall process. Meagan provided daily reports and pictures which were very much appreciated. We'll definitely use Meagan again.”

“Everything went great! Drop off and pick up were super easy. She sent updates and pics over the weekend so I knew he was safe and happy. We highly recommend Holly and will definitely be using her again for our little fuzzball”

“Such a wonderful and competent sitter. Jen and her family are the most heartwarming people and they go out of their way to care for your baby. You will not find a better sitter where your baby is treated as one of the family when you have to be gone! Ever! How lucky are we to have people like Jenevieve in this world?! So grateful. She acted like we were gifting her by leaving our crazy cat that we have had for a month with her. Carrie is the happiest and best version of herself I have ever seen after Jen’s care!”

“Christopher been nothing but amazing with our pups. He’s gone above and beyond what we expected and that’s why he will always be our go to person. He’s done an amazing job I would definitely recommend him to anyone that needs a sitter to watch over ur precious loved one”

“Amber did a great job watching Clover!! She kept us informed on how she was eating and even gave her a few special treats. Clover loved the swimming pool. 🐶 We appreciate the great care she received.”

“Cynthia took great care of Brooks for a weekend stay. Her home and big backyard were perfect for him, and she kept us updated with photos and quick responses, which made us feel really comfortable. He clearly felt right at home — he almost didn’t want to leave! Friendly, flexible, and easy to work with. We’ll definitely be booking with her again.”

“Erin and Chris are amazing! Highly highly highly recommend using them to watch your fur babies!❤️ They sent plenty of pictures updating you on what your pet was doing. I felt very comfortable the entire time I was away! I will be using them every time I leave town!”

“Our dogs have stayed at Melanie’s three times recently. One of our dog’s is a rescue and very scared everyone. They are both very well taken care of and look comfortable at Melanie’s. We won’t send our dogs to anyone else. Thank you!”

“Jaden was wonderful with Gracie. He is caring and kind. We appreciated his daily updates and photos. I would use Jaden again recommending him to everyone.”

“It was like Molly had been to Cassandra's before. She went right inside. I think animals get a vibe from people, and Molly just knew. I think Molly had a very good time at Cassandra's. I was afraid since there weren't any other dogs there, Molly would be bored. But from the pics and video Cassandra sent, Molly was having a fine time. Won't be anxious at all to drop Molly off next time.”

“Lisa was a wonderful host to our two senior dogs. This was our first time using Rover and the dogs had a rough start adjusting (had multiple accidents in the home). Lisa was patient and was solution focused. She tried different methods to decrease their anxiety and provided us frequent updates on how they are doing. They definitely adapted with her help! One of our dogs is diabetic and Lisa helped us administer his medication injection as well.”

“Kim was great with our pup, Maggie. We felt so at ease with her having fun in a great environment while we were away. She clearly knows how to handle dogs of all kinds and her family takes great care. We will definitely use and recommend Kim again!!”

“Colonel had another stay with Kimberlee and Mitchell. As soon as we arrived, Colonel could not wait to start playing with their dog. Kimberly sent me updates each day which gave me peace of mind that everything was going well. We will be using them again and we highly recommend!”

“Draco loved his time with Osvaldo! I could tell he really got the love he needed. Osvaldo sent loads of pictures and was very flexible with pick up and drop off. I felt very at ease leaving my pup in his care and will definitely be using him in the future!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Kayla! She responds quickly and is so easy to work with. She watched my dog in her home and made leaving my pup so easy and I came home to a calm, stress-free dog. She kept in touch and sent pictures to reassure me they were doing great. Best of all, my dog loved her!! Thanks Kayla!”

About: Hi, I'm Emily! I'm not just a dog lover - I've been a dog mom to just about every size and personality. Over the years I've had my own Chihuahuas, Labs, Olde English Bulldogs, American Staffordshires, and American Bullies. So I’m very comfortable with strong, energetic breeds as well as tiny lap dogs who think they run the house. I particularly love the bully breeds - no judgment, just structure, play, and lots of affection. I know how to read body language for both a nervous 4lb Chihuahua and an 80lb Lab who thinks they’re a lap dog. I’ve cared for a dog who required a strict daily medication routine, so I am meticulous about timing, dosages, and watching for side effects. Pills, liquid meds, special feeding schedules - I’ve done it all and I take it seriously. My home is calm with a structured routine. My husband and I are early to bed and early to rise. I keep a clean but dog-proofed home with a predictable routine for potty breaks, walks, play, and rest. We walk in the mornings and sometimes again in the evening if the weather allows. I only book one client at a time so your pup(s) will get plenty of attention! I promise to send lots of updates, photos, and videos so you never worry. Your pup will be treated like family here - safe, loved, allowed on the couch and in the bed and very well cared for while you're away. I have a securely fenced yard and take daily walks in my neighborhood for exercise. Inside, dogs have plenty of places to lounge, with dog beds, toys, and a quiet areas for naps. My home is non-smoking, no kids with one American Bully named Rosco. Rosco is neutered, two years old, about 80 lbs and loves other dogs. Rosco is a high energy dog who does best with dogs who are playful but also tolerant. Rosco also does great with smaller dogs and puppies. I am open to dogs over 40lbs but not more than 60lbs. I never leave dogs unattended for long without them being kenneled. I am home most of the day but utilize kennels when we’re gone for everyone’s safety. We follow a twice a day feeding schedule and I will gladly follow your instructions to the letter for feeding, crate time, and walks. I’m currently between jobs and have plenty of time for pet care. My husband works during the week and is around in the evenings and the weekends to help care for our pups. I have a fenced in yard a very friendly bulldog named Rosco to keep your pup company. I can also crate your pup if needed.
“Kevin was absolutely wonderful with my sweet Terry. From the very first day, he kept in constant communication, sharing updates that truly put my heart at ease. It was clear that Terry was not just cared for, but genuinely loved and treated like family during the 9 days she stayed with him. I’m so grateful to have found Kevin through Rover, and I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to trust him with Terry again. Highly, highly recommended!”

“She is amazing! Got pictures and videos while on vacation. She actually cares about animals. Will definitely use her again and highly highly highly recommend using her!!!”

“Jessica is a terrific dog sitter. We rarely leave our dog, so when we do it is nice to feel comfortable leaving her with a trusted sitter. Our dog spent her weekend away from us playing with Jessica's dog and being treated like family. She is worn out from all of the fun she had. We will be using Jessica again!”

“Justus was AMAZING! She did drop-in visits for our cat for a week and when we came back, he was happy and well taken care of! Justus responds quickly and was very easy to work with. She sent pictures every time she stopped by to spend time with our cat. Highly recommended!!”

“Jenevieve was incredible to work with! Very communicative and made sure to let us know when she’d be early/late. Will definitely book with her again when we need someone!”

“I needed last minute care for my dogs before a trip and she was amazing. She took great care of my dogs even through my dogs weren’t used to new people visiting the apartment. She even checked in on them during bad weather. Really appreciate the help and would recommend.”

“Kayla was great with my two cats on her overnight with them. This was their first pet sitter experience. Both of them seemed to warm up quickly and Cedric even greeted her at the door (normally they are pretty skittish with new people.) They boys require some extra care like twice daily pills and feeding support but she did great and asked questions to make sure she did everything correctly and got some cute photos of them. She communicated when she would be out and made sure the cats have everything they needed and followed care instructions well.”

“Daniel was a great caretaker for our cats while we were away. He carefully followed all our weird instructions and house oddities and gave the cats lots of love. I would highly recommend him to others seeking reliable, loving care.”

“Jean has been wonderful with our dog, and I highly recommend her! She's been reliable, caring, and communicative every time. Rico absolutely loves when she comes over, which gives us so much peace of mind whenever we're away. It's clear she genuinely cares about him, and we always know he's in great hands.”

“Rachael was so sweet and attentive with my senior special needs cat. Great communication - I looked forward to Rachael’s daily updates and pictures. I was able to relax and fully enjoy my time away knowing my cat was getting the best care. I would work with Rachael again.”

“Abby was a fantastic sitter for our elderly cat, Bob, who has some pretty high snuggle needs. She went out of her way to introduce herself in person before our trip, asking thoughtful questions to make sure she understood Bob's routine and personality. While we were away, she was easy to reach and quick to respond to any questions, giving us regular updates that made us feel so at ease. Bob seemed to warm up to Abby quickly, and it was clear he was well cared for while we were gone. Knowing he was in such good hands gave us true peace of mind. We’d absolutely recommend Abby to anyone looking for a caring, communicative, and reliable pet sitter!”

“LOVE all the care Ash has with my cat, Gucci. I’m traveling for a month and Ash has been very communicative, helpful and supportive all the time. She answers me in a timely manner, send pictures and makes me feel safe with my choice of choosing her to take care of my cat. Best choice ever.”

About: What truly sets me apart is that I don’t just view pet sitting as a job; I view it through the lens of a dedicated pet parent. When caring for your pet in your home, my absolute highest priorities are safety, emotional comfort, and respect for your space. I will strictly adhere to your specific instructions, security preferences, and your dog’s established routine to keep their stress levels at zero and to give you peace of mind when you have to be away from them. “Angie immediately jumped in when I found myself in a predicament without coverage for my medically high needs cat. It was short notice and we were a new client and yet Angie was willing to take care of her. NO ONE and I mean NO ONE other than myself has been able to give my cat her medications… yet somehow Angie was able to do it. She came at the agreed upon times like clockwork and communicated so well while I was gone. I am so thankful to have found someone to help care for my cat when I have to be gone. Will definitely be using Angie again when the need arises!!!”

“Was so great squeezing us in last minute, went right over and let the dogs out. They had a blast with her, and she even messaged to get a towel to wipe their paws since it was wet out! Thank you!!!”

“What a wonderful daycare for our 11 month old, high energy black lab. Mackenzie had to deal with a lot from our Eddie, and she handled him so well. Her other dogs are such a delight, fun and happy!”

About: NOTE: Off during summer, but I work weekdays throughout the school year. Still available during school, but pets will be at home without me on weekdays for about 7 hours. I have owned and cared for dogs for over 25 years. I have cared for small dogs <25 pounds all the way up to large sized Great Danes > 200 pounds. I have been fostering dogs for Safe Paws Iowa for the past 4 years. I am available for a large portion of the summer because I only coach softball outside of the school year. I am very active and would love to share that energy with dogs! Walking, jogging, or just playing in the doggy pool is no issue at all. My Golden loves to play if yours does! If not, I have the space to separate dogs too. Lastly, I have experience giving dogs meds as some of the dogs in my care have different long term conditions. Please reach out with any questions! Can’t wait to meet your precious pups! Please contact me if you have any remaining questions! I am mostly free over the summer and weekends. I run errands or make plans outside of when I’m taking care of pets. Pet care is my priority while hosting! I have a fenced in yard, my own can join in play if wanted, I have gates/doors and a finished lower level where I can separate dogs if need be, and have multiple kennels. I allow dogs on furniture, but can follow owner house rules.

About: I have had pets for my whole life, whether that be hamsters, fish, dogs, cats, bunnies, and even wildlife who need extra support to get back into their habitat. I have tons of experience with different kinds of dogs. I have had my dogs since they were puppies all the way to the end of their lives, which gives me knowledge about each of the stages of pet’s lives. I also have volunteered at a dog shelter for 6+ years, so I have experience working with reactive dogs to dogs who are extremely timid and shy. I can guarantee that I have seen all kinds of personalities between all kinds of animals. I also have worked with cats at the shelter, which also gives me insight on the way cats can be which could range from very sassy (like my cat Benny lol!), to the sweetest cats. Along with those experiences with different personalities, I have lots of experiences with injured animals and have had exposure to treating wounds/minor injuries in animals. I have had to learn how to treat my dog’s diabetes since she was recently diagnosed, and have accommodated my lifestyle to fit her needs as a diabetic. I also have learned how to manage an obese dog’s weight into a healthier weight. Overall, I have grown up surrounded by animals and have seen an abundance of different situations within different kinds of animals!! I currently attend a university in the Des Moines metro and will be commuting from my home to school. This ensures that I have time to go back and forth between my house and school, which will allow me to make frequent trips to check on the pet. I also live with my parents who work from home, so there will always be someone watching the pet and ensuring that everything is going well. I get off from school around noon every day, so that will allow me to go back home and spend the rest of the afternoon with the pet and pay full attention towards them!! In my home, I am responsible for feeding, bathing, cleaning after, and spending time with all of my pets. I have learned how to trim nails, properly bathe a pet, treat one of my dogs that has diabetes, and clean wounds when a pet gets injured. I have been able to experience many situations with pets and stay calm during an accident. I am willing to do anything to accommodate any pet because they deserve to have a life of luxury, just like us! I am also committed to ensuring that any client who has special accommodations for their pets gets those wishes granted and will do everything in my power to make sure the pet has a great time with me!!

“Amazing communication prior to walk, during walk and great updates after the walk. Provided an excellent walk for my dog even during freezing weather. Highly recommend and trusted to taste good care of your dog needs”

“Hannah was a very nice lady! My dog, who is a barker, didn't bark at her the 1st time she came to walk him. That there says something about the person she is. Her promptness and great communication made things easy peasy! We won't hesitate to request her dog services again. Thanks Hannah!”

About: Feeding, watering, and exercising your four-legged family members is the easy part. My priority is making sure your furry friends feel loved and special while you’re not able to be there. I know the stress and worry of having to be away and hoping your pet is being well-cared for. I am there to ease your mind and to make it less stressful for you and your pet. I am an expert cat and dog snuggler and have been known to be a cat whisperer for those felines that don’t warm up easily. Although I am new to this platform, I am not new to taking care of pets. I have been a cat and dog owner for over 30 years. I am also a proud cat/dog auntie for my nieces and nephew’s pets. Over the years I have also watched many friends pets while they travel. For most of last year while traveling for work, I housesat and watched furry loved ones through another platform while traveling for work in the DC area. I have been in healthcare for more than two decades, but I am currently on a break to work on some new projects. That work happens in my home office and I am my own boss. So my schedule is open and flexible. I am also comfortable taking care of special medical issues your pet may have. She clearly knows what she's doing when taking care of pets.”

“Jessica did an excellent job with little B and he came home happy and healthy. He can’t settle down without his dog bed, so we were glad we could leave it with him. We also brought his food and water bowl. Jessica was professional, competent, and caring. Five star rating, for sure! We will definitely use her again.”

“Ashly once again took care of our baby and did a great job! She was flexible with drop off/pick up and communication options with my husband since I was going to be out of town when he dropped Hank off and picked him up! Grateful that she cares for our fur baby as her own!”

About: Hi! I'm Ross, I grew up having Labrador Retrievers as family pets and have always had a strong love of dogs. I like all dogs, big or small! I'm great at responding to a pets needs. I love to give them the attention and play that they want while maintaining appropriate disciple/doggie boundaries ( like not jumping up on strangers). I am good at reading dogs body language which helps to know if they are tired, playful, need to go to the bathroom, not feeling well, or just need some attention! Working from home gives me extra flexibilty to give the pups extra attention when they need it. Regardless of the setting I am able to follow the guidelines that you have set up for your pet. I look forward to getting to know your dogs!!
“Elizabeth was amazing! So communicative, smart with how she handled the dogs in her care, and incredibly loving with my pup. I will absolutely be booking with her again.”

“I think Missy has got to be the best sitter my dog Bella has ever had. Not only did Missy welcome the challenge of a spicy chihuahua but she mastered it. By the end she let her hold her! And if any of you are owners of little anxious dogs you know this is a big deal!! Missy also did a great job communicating with us and sending tons of photos which we appreciated. Having Bella stay with Missy made us feel at ease, allowing us to enjoy our trip to the fullest knowing Bella was in good hands. Would highly recommend booking with Missy and I’m sure Bella looks forward to her next visit!”

“Kari is quick to respond to messages and was easy to work with. She was super about last minute time changes. She sent pictures and kept me updated on how my girl was doing. All in all a good experience and Freddie gives her a paws up!”
