About: Dogs have always been in my life. I volunteered at Animal Lifeline for 8 years and had a dog daycare of my own for a while. Dogs are everything and I’d be honored to love on yours. I currently work full time from home so doggie day care is definitely doable! My day ends at 3 pm so I can be that late afternoon or evening potty break or walk. Weekends have potential as well with pre-arranged time and notice. Should your dog(s) stay with me during the day, I have a fenced yard and no carpet in case of oopsies! I currently attend a university in the Des Moines metro and will be commuting from my home to school. This ensures that I have time to go back and forth between my house and school, which will allow me to make frequent trips to check on the pet. I also live with my parents who work from home, so there will always be someone watching the pet and ensuring that everything is going well. I get off from school around noon every day, so that will allow me to go back home and spend the rest of the afternoon with the pet and pay full attention towards them!! In my home, I am responsible for feeding, bathing, cleaning after, and spending time with all of my pets. I have learned how to trim nails, properly bathe a pet, treat one of my dogs that has diabetes, and clean wounds when a pet gets injured. I will treat every dog as if it was my own, which means lots of treats(if allowed) and lots of pets, belly scratches and cuddles(if tolerated). I am currently working part-time and healing. About: I've had pets all my life and would love to care for yours too, on a temporary basis. I love to vacation and often struggle with finding a solution for my babies while I'm gone. For me my favorite choice is to have someone I know and trust stay in my home but there's hardly ever anyone available for that kind of commitment! I thought it would be awesome to be able to provide that kind of care for someone else: house/pet sitting, drop-in, or just walks/exercise. I want you to know your pets are loved and treated with gentle kindness. I recognize that I'm kind of a stranger to your babies and I'll treat them like my own and earn their trust! They'll be loved and cared for in a way that will make your absence less stressful for them and as much like their normal days as it can be while you're away. I take my responsibilities to others extremely seriously and won't be satisfied unless you are! I'm retired so my schedule is very flexible! I have availability on weekdays and weekends both. Mornings, afternoons, and evenings are fine by mutual agreement. I enjoy taking find for walks or just playing outside in the yard. On days where weather is bad, I'm happy to get the dogs outside to do their business and then play a bit indoors!
