“Katrina kept our two boys in her home for several days while were out of the country and we cannot recommend her highly enough. We visited her home twice before our trip and felt very reassured. While we were away, she was in regular communication and sent lots of photos. One of our guys has a recurring eye issue and it flared up badly while we were away. Katrina took great care of him. She took him to our vet and administered his medications. We were very worried about him and are so grateful to Katrina's family for taking such great care of him. I'd booked the incorrect dates and Katrina was flexible, making arrangements to extend our reservation. Katrina provided us (and our boys) an exceptional experience. We would not hesitate to book her again and recommend her unequivocally!”

“Im very happy with the care Joey received during his stay, Brooke gave Joey amazing care! I highly recommend Brooke and Brent. I’m so thankful to find someone I can trust. I will use them again!”

“My cat, Avocado, got so much love at Angela's house! I really appreciate that Angela has a good system for keeping cats separate from the small dogs if that's what you want for your cat. Avocado stayed in a lovely furnished basement (with windows) during the day and spent the night up in the bedrooms with the family, so she had her own safe space while still getting plenty of human interaction. It was so fun to get pictures of Avocado cuddling with them and making herself at home. I boarded her there for almost two weeks and she was in good health and great spirits when I picked her up. I immediately rebooked to board her at Angela's again during my next trip!”

“Nicole and her cute young girls were very attentive and tried very hard to gain Java's trust - which is not an easy thing. Nicole stayed in constant communication, and responded to my continues check-ins. I would trust her with Java any time.”

“Our dogs has a great weekend with Steve and Tillie! They came home happy exhausted and had so much fun. We know they got lots of love and attention from the whole family. We appreciated the meet and greet beforehand and the pictures during their stay. We hope to return again !”

“Kimberlee is wonderful! Our pup is a repeat customer of hers, and he didn’t even look back when we dropped him off. His tail was wagging the whole time! She sends lots of photos, and it’s clear your dog is in great hands with her. We’ll definitely be bringing our pup back!”

“We absolutely loved having our Weimaraner, Hollis stay with Jacquelyn and her family! We felt so comfortable leaving her and Hollis enjoyed her time with them as well! There was never a doubt that she was safe and in excellent hands with them. We will definitely be rebooking with Jacquelyn every time we need to leave our Hollis.”

“Amy and Casey were great. They took great care of our lab and were very active with her during her stay. They had great communication and shared updates/pictures with us while we were away. I would definitely recommend them to care for your dog!”

“We had a last minute need for a dog sitter and Lara and Cary were very responsive. We are so happy with how they cared for our two dogs. Based on the conversation and the pictures they sent, our pups were totally spoiled during their stay. Thanks so much for taking such great care of our fur babies!”

“Great sitter. It was a GR party of 3! My dog was worn out, happy and well taken care of. Daily updates with a picture was sent. Thx for your care! Would recommend and use Kayla again.”

“Roxy was amazing watching Jack, they treated him like one of their own dogs. We will absolutely be coming back! She sent pictures and updates which helped make his first stay easier on me.”

“Cliff has watched our dog Bamboo several times now and always gives him great care! Bamboo gets excited when he sees him. It gives us peace of mind knowing when we go out of town our pup is still being loved on!”

For the safety of all pets in my care, I kindly ask that your animals are up to date on their vaccinations. In addition to pet care, I also offer light household cleaning services for an additional fee.

About: As a future veterinarian, many of my friends have relied on me to care for their cats. Ive done everything from feeding, changing the litter, and even nail clipping. I'm comfortable caring for anxious cats that like to hide away and active cats that like to play and vocalize. I can't wait to meet your fur baby!

I have 2 cats of my own and I enrich them as much as possible. I give them food puzzles, lucky mats and every toy you can think of I probably have.

“Shae did a great job taking care of our cats. She fed, watered and cleaned up after them. She contacted us if she had any questions. She even started the dishwasher for me when I had forgotten to. I will definitely ask her next time we need a sitter.”

About: I have had pets my entire life and have been working at a veterinary clinic for approximately four years. In this role, I've had extensive experience in animal care, including handling, feeding, bathing, and administering medications to all types of dogs and cats. I currently have one dog and two cats. I feed them both morning and night. I typically take my dog outside 3-4 times a day to go to the bathroom and play. I would treat my client's pets like I would treat my own, with love and care. I try to remain patient and calm, and take it slow if a pet isn't listening. I will always ask the client if the animal has any special needs and ensure those are met. I will also ensure that the animal feels safe and comfortable with me.
About: I'm an experienced animal caregiver of many species. I have owned dogs for about 10 years and have lots of experience administering medications and providing specialized treatments. I have worked previously with mice, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs, snakes, etc and currently own chickens and dogs. I'm comfortable providing a nail trimming service and bathing if requested. I may be available for dropins before or after work in Ames on a limited basis during the work week. Please ask for details. I am willing to petsit outside of my listed range for an added fee. Please inquire for more details! I know that consistency can be very important, I will do my best to uphold whatever training and routines you ask me to follow while providing plenty of snuggles and playtime.

About: As a veterinary assistant and veterinary student, I have experience caring for cats of all ages, from playful kittens to senior cats and those with medical needs. I’m comfortable administering oral medications, monitoring for signs of illness, cleaning litter boxes, feeding specialized diets, and providing enrichment while respecting each cat’s unique personality. Whether your cat is social, shy, or requires extra patience, I’ll provide compassionate, reliable care and treat them as if they were my own. I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust while you’re away, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind.
“Tabitha was great! She noticed when my cat might not be feeling well and always sent me updates. She’s super sweet and flexible, and I was so grateful she was available over the holidays!”

About: I have always been an animal lover. Growing up my parents bred golden retrievers and I currently have a golden that my family and I adore. In high school and college I worked for a local vet as a front desk receptionist and kennel assistant. I have two daughters who also love animals and will always be sure to play and give extra cuddles. Friends and family often rely on us to pet sit. We also volunteer at the animal shelter in town. I am currently working from home part-time and in the office about four hours per day so I will have plenty of time to play with and care for pets. I would care for your pet the same way I do my own - walks, play time, and plenty of cuddles. I live on an acreage, but it is not fenced in. I would keep your dog on a leash outside to because it will not know the boundaries. But we will go for walks and my dog loves other dogs and will be so happy for a visitor.

“This was the first time my dogs have gone over to her house and they loved it!! They loved hanging out with her dog and just being able to be around someone all day! She was very sweet and attentive to their needs!”

“They are so lovely! A massive yard for Ace to run in which he definitely needed. Her dogs are so friendly and playful. Her children are also very helpful and respectful in asking if they can give my dog one of their dog toys. Will definitely be coming back!”

“Angela is great! We have had our puppy at her house for Daycare the past two days and he loves it! He was so excited to be dropped off this morning and was one tired puppy after a fun filled day playing with the other Puppies! Angela was very kind/welcoming and made sure to confirm our visit the day before which we really appreciated. She is great at keeping us posted during the day with texts and photos of our 2 month old puppy (we feel very at ease knowing he is in great care and getting to play with other dogs is a huge bonus!) We Definitely recommend Angela and we will definitely be booking with her again!”
“Samantha is so great to work with! She follows directions perfectly and takes excellent care of all the (3) dogs we’ve had her sit for (doggie day care). She communicates effectively and timely and we never have to worry.”

“I left my two dogs with Katrina for an entire day while I had a work commitment. She was very pleasant, professional, and thorough in making sure I felt comfortable leaving them with her for the first time. She communicated throughout the day and was flexible when I had to pick them up later than planned. Working with her was a wonderful experience for me and my boys.”

About: I’ve taken care of fur babies of all kinds since before I could walk. I grew up with a dog and cat always in tow. I lived in the country, so learned fast that the world can be hard for an animal, thus beginning my rehab ‘career’. As I got older, I pet sat for neighbors and family friends. In my mid 20s I trained as a vet tech, prepping animals for surgery, giving vaccinations, nail trims, etc. Until the ISU Wildlife Clinic closed, I volunteered there, learning more care for wild native animals. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life, I can’t imagine life without animals. I currently have a senior border collie named Lola, she has arthritis so sometimes she needs help getting around and I’m always willing to help my girl. I also have a senior cat. Currently I’m a doordash/grub hub driver, so I literally am free 24/7 to care for your pets! I will prioritize Rover over delivery, so I can work with any schedule you need. I’m available for repeat needs (several walks a week, drop ins, etc). I live in a duplex with a yard. For me to board a pet, they would need to get along with my dog, and she can honestly be a bit grumpy meeting new dogs, so I feel going to the client’s home would be best. I will respect your home and follow whatever instructions you have for the care of your pets.
About: I have cared for dogs and animals since I was 10. Family and neighbors alike have relied on me to take care of their animals, whether it was drop-in visits, walking, or daycare; I did it all and have excellent experience raising my fur babies. I love animals, and I cannot wait to make your life easier! I am a senior at Iowa State as a triple major studying English, Criminal Justice, & Technical Communication with aspirations of becoming a multi-genre author. In my downtime of not studying or working on being an entrepreneur, I give my animals lots of attention and make yummy paw treats for my fur babies! I am currently working at a different job from 11a-8pm Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri and Saturday. I am available for day care, on the weekends of Sun and Mon. I am available for boarding, drop in visits, dog walking, and house sitting any time. * It is always best to contact me first to ask me if I am available!! * When you choose me for your needs I will have plenty of time to care of your fur babies! I am dedicated and motivated to help you with your pet's needs and make your and your fur babies' lives easier. I have a fenced backyard and plenty of space for your fur baby to run around. I also have a lot of house for your lovely pet to play and relax in. I have a cat and a small adult dog breed for your baby to play with and have company while they are here for boarding or day care. I offer other services as well, so I try to make my home as comfortable and safe as possible for my personal pets and my clients' fur babies.
“My dog and I love Mallory! She had us meet with her before my dog had daycare and made an incredible effort to make her comfortable and create a space that made her feel safe. My dog has some separation anxiety and can be nervous around others, but Mallory took the time to get her comfortable with her on her own time. I got many videos and texts on how she was doing throughout the day which I LOVED because I didn't have to worry about whether she was okay and having fun. We highly recommend Mallory!!”

“I was visiting town for a work trip and was beyond impressed by the care and communication! My pup Barley is older and just had surgery - it was so wonderful leaving him without worry, knowing he would be extra loved and cared after during the day!”

About: I’ve had animals my whole life, as a kid we had four dogs at one time and I was out there walking each one of them every hour or two. I’ve always had a passion for every kind of animal, big or small, skinny or fat. At the moment I have a cat, who is well trained around other animals of all kinds and love to play with others as well. If you want someone who is dedicated to care for your animals I would be the one for you, if your animal has a set schedule for everyday just let me know. I’m currently working part-time on DoorDash so I don’t have a set schedule because I make my own hours for that so if your looking for a pet sitter and believe that I would be great for your pet message me 1-2 days beforehand and we can get it set up! I am willing to walk dogs/cats every hour (or less) if needed. I rely on u to let me know feeding schedules of your pets preference and I stick to that.

About: I’ve taken care of many animals over the course of my life. I lived nearly two decades on a farm where animals would often get dropped off and I’d care for them for the remainder of their lives. I worked at a veterinary hospital for 3 years and have 4 cats and a dog of my own. I’ve cared for many friend’s pets while they’re out of town, including both cats and dogs with medical needs. I have a passion for helping others and their furry family members! I believe all animals are deserving of our unconditional love and attention. When life calls you away, I’m happy to step in and ensure they get the utmost care. I’m experienced in giving animals medication, including insulin, and have worked with many different types of collars, leashes, and harnesses. I’ll do my absolute best to care for them in the way you prefer them to be cared for and am happy to take time to make a plan for the care that you expect. I’m also aware of signs and symptoms to look for in an emergency situation and have phone numbers and resources on hand to ensure they get the best care, with your permission. I love sending photos to my clients to show them what a great time we’re having together! Having worked full time at a veterinary hospital, care of animals and their owners was a part of my daily life! I try to accommodate all schedules to the best of my ability and am flexible with my schedule. I treat each pet and home as if it were my own. I spoil my pets and would love to do the same for yours. I work individually with you to come up with a visit plan that is tailored to your pet's needs and prioritize communications with you going forward to ensure your expectations are getting met. I relay any immediate concerns that I have during a visit by calling you or directly messaging you. Otherwise, you can expect a summary of the visit, with images, at the end of my visit with your pet(s).
About: I used to work as a certified dog trainer and managed a daycare / boarding facility for 2 years. I was an employee there for longer. 12 hour days every day with dogs of all types. I know how to administer medications, including insulin. I also know how to handle myself in emergency situations, I've learned dog first aid and I've broken up fights in my time that would've been deadly if I wasn't there. I am currently a general contractor making my schedule very open, my wife loves helping with pets of all kinds as well which allows for more care opportunities. The only thing that wouldn't likely work would be multiple days of house sitting IF I am not able to leave for 3-4 hours at a time. I have a hard time spending an extended amount of time not being able to see my infant son! I'll do whatever someone wants for their pet, assuming it's reasonable. I'm okay on multiple large walks, extended play time outside, anything like that is 100% okay. From dogs- cows- fish we would love to help provide dependable care and always ensure your pets are treated with the upmost respect and attention they deserve!
About: Hello, my name is Samantha and since I was little I’ve loved animals. I have 2 cats of my own and a family dog I’ve been taking care of since I was in middle school. I would like to use this app as a way to get my foot in the door for future jobs and I think it’s a great way to also gain experience with animals that don’t know me. I am super excited to see what is in store for me and future clients pet(s)! Currently my work hours have been crazy so I’m only starting with weekends. At my normal job, I work no more than 25 hours a week so sometimes I do have one day during the week that I could pet sit. As a new cat mom of 2 I am pretty strict with them but nothing crazy. I also currently live in a apartment with no yard.

About: I have been with dogs since day 1. I, personally, have always had Labradors. I currently sit my parents’ 4 labs, as well as help take care of my grandparents babygirl as well. Your pets safety, health, and happiness are my top priorities! As someone who’s pup is her best friend in the entire world, I will treat every pet as my own; meaning with all of the love and care in the world! I am currently a full time veterinary technician student with Penn Foster, so this is my full time job! I am more than happy to add in more hours of availability if it becomes requested. Taking care of pets is my passion! Each pet deserves to be treated with 110% love, kindness, and respect, as do clients and their homes. It is important to me that pets know how loved and cared for they are, even by their sitter/walker! What this looks like to me is extra snuggles and pets, praises, treats (only if allowed by owners and according to owners rules), walks, playtime, and so much more!
About: I've grown up with pets my whole life - dogs, cats, cows, horses, hamsters, mice, you name it I probably had it at one point. I have a dog of my own as well. I like to say I've had animal experience my whole life, but formally I have had over 8 years of experience in the animal care industry. I have spent time in veterinary clinics, grooming, boarding, doggy daycare, dog training, permanent sanctuaries, rehabilitation facilities, and farms. I have also fostered multiple dogs from a local rescue. I recently earned a degree in animal science and have plans to attend veterinary school. I really really love animals and everything about them, and I would love to spend some time with your pet when you're not able to! I take my dog for two walks a day, a shorter 10-15 minute walk in the morning, and longer 30-45 minute walk after work in the afternoon. On days I am not working, I go on multiple short walks a day. There are paths I walk for both off-leash and on-leash walking. Typical available days are T-F. Weekends vary. Outdoor activities (walks, meeting friends dogs, swimming, fetch, etc.) are my primary methods of exercise and activity with my pet, and would be with clients pets as well. On days it's not so nice I like to work on training inside or find new enrichment activities to keep my pet occupied. I take pride in keeping a pet environment clean, so I regularly bathe and brush my dog, as well as clean food bowls. I will care for my clients pets as I would care for my own.
About: I have been a Registered Veterinary Technician since 2024. I work in the small animal emergency/critical care department. I am RECOVER certified and Fear Free certified. I have been an animal my whole life and am now devoted to taking care and improving their lives. I do have a full time job but I start late in the day. If you need me to walk your dog or check in at your home I can do early mornings to early afternoon. My schedule also changes month to month from week days to weekends so depending on the month I can have more availability during my days off. I always make sure to see the comfort levels of animals before interaction. I bad interaction can break your pets trust. My FEAR FREE training has allowed me to work with patients comfort levels and how to appropriately handle scared animals. My CPR RECOVER training certifies me to be able to perform CPR on your pet effectively.

About: From keeping care of my family pets in the absence of my parents at a young age to spending late nights as a sitter for neighbors’ dogs, I have taken careful care of dogs in all shapes and sizes since I was twelve. I love snuggling and bonding with dogs, and I adore being there for them when their furball parents are unable to be with them. I’m a part-time worker at a hotel on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I work the evening shifts from 3-11pm. On Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, I’m available to spend time with your pups all day! I love walking, and I would love to take your dog on my daily five mile walk with me as a fluffy partner in crime. I strive to create a friendly and loving environment for the doggies I watch. By providing them with quality time such as walking, playing with toys, or simply lying on the couch together, I will give your pup a space of peace and care while you’re away.
About: In addition to having dogs and cats as my childhood pets, I also worked with the Puppy Jake Foundation training service dogs for wounded veterans for two years, and spent a summer interning at Kawa Farms K-9 Training. I have always adored all pets, but dogs and cats have a special place in my heart! I’m spending the summer in Ames and have a flexible schedule, so I’m available for last-minute bookings, frequent walks, overnight care, and lots of attention/playtime. I’m working part-time remotely over the summer, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to caring for pets. I typically work about 4–5 hours on weekdays, leaving me with lots of availability for drop-in visits, walks, boarding, daycare, and overnight sitting. Because I spend most of my time at home, I’m able to give pets lots of attention, supervision, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I also have flexibility for early morning, evening, and weekend care, and I’m happy to accommodate pets’ normal routines as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and cared for. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for based on their individual routine and needs. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, medication instructions, and any specific preferences owners share with me. In my home, pets would have plenty of attention, supervision, and space to relax indoors. I do have an unfenced yard, so all outdoor time would be supervised and pets would always be kept safely on a leash when outside. In clients’ homes, I do my best to maintain pets’ normal routines to help them feel comfortable while their owners are away. I’m happy to provide walks, playtime, cuddles, updates/photos, and lots of companionship throughout the visit. I also make sure the home stays clean and secure while I’m there.

About: I have been dog sitting for my friends and family for years. I work from home 2 days a week and have a large fenced in backyard. I have a 3 bedroom house located a few block from a bike/walking trail. I would like a dog of my own but my schedule doesn’t allow for that so cuddling and spending time with your dog would be perfect. Your dog will have access to my furniture while I am home. I can maintain a set schedule and provide your dog with love and care while you are away. Your pet would be in a kennel very minimal and have lots of attention. Would just be in a kennel if I need to run errands. I have a large fenced in backyard that your pet will love to run free in. The fence was replaced summer of 2021 after the derecho. I work a hybrid schedule 3 days in an office 2 days at home. My boyfriend is home every Friday, he does not work Fridays. I have a large privacy fenced in yard for your dog to play in. I can kennel or crate your dog at your preference. I have a lock on the inside of my front door incase a dog jumps and opens the door.
“Tabby did such an wonderful job walking MoMo for me while I was at work. She is very punctual and relatable. MoMo looked so happy in all of her photos and she always gave her lunch as well. I’m very thankful for her services and look forward to booking her in the future.”

About: I grew up with dogs and cats in my family home. I currently am living with my mom while going to school. I live with 2 cats and 2 dogs I have open availability for the summer while take online classes. Let me know what dates you need and I will more than likely be able to add it to my schedule! I feed my pets 3 times a day and walk my dog 3 times a day. We also make frequent visits to the dog park to get a lot of exercise.
About: I have done academic work with dogs and have experience with both puppies and senior dogs. I would be comfortable administering any medications if needed. I currently have a full time job and and in class this semester. I am looking for something fun to do on the side! I have always loved dogs and have had them my whole life. I am willing to follow instructions on how to fulfill your pets needs. Unfortunately I cannot have pets over at my place because of my bratty pitbull but I am happy to care for animals in their home where they are comfortable and familiar with the surroundings.
