I have owned and cared for dogs for over 25 years. I have cared for small dogs <25 pounds all the way up to large sized Great Danes > 200 pounds. I have been fostering dogs for Safe Paws Iowa for the past 4 years. I am available for a large portion of the summer because I only coach softball outside of the school year. I am very active and would love to share that energy with dogs! Walking, jogging, or just playing in the doggy pool is no issue at all. My Golden loves to play if yours does! If not, I have the space to separate dogs too. Lastly, I have experience giving dogs meds as some of the dogs in my care have different long term conditions. Please reach out with any questions! About: I am a homeschool mom. I have had several dogs over the last 26 years from blue heelers, labradors, a lab/dane mix and most recently an Australian Shepherd. I've house-broken and crate trained all my puppies and we also adopted an adult rescue dog and acclimated him to family life. I've taken different obedience courses over the years and most recently am working on Rally Obedience with my aussie. My family, which includes my husband and two teenage daughters love dogs of all sizes and ages. I’ve got a very large fenced in back yard, a fun loving Aussie, and am home most of the time to give your fur baby lots of love and attention. I have recent experience in dog obedience and have house-trained puppies. I love to walk dogs and give them lots of attention. Because I homeschool, most days I am home and able to attend to dog or puppy care. Our two year old Aussie loves to play with other dogs and has earned his CGC-A. About: Spending time and interacting with animals has always been a passion of mine. Over the years I helped my grandma run her dog sitting service, taking the dogs for walks and cleaning up the kennels. About: I have personally had a pet or 3 since I was 13 years old. I begged for a cat for years and once I got one, I never have been without at least one pet. I have been volunteering with the ARL since 2005. I have had 30+ foster dogs through them as well. I just love animals. I do have weekends blocked but just ask about availability! I am retired. I enjoy going for walks with dogs and depending on the dog spending time outside in my fenced in backyard. I have a 6 foot fence. Your dog will have the ability to be part of our family and our family pets are on our furniture. We do separate our home animals, fosters and house guests at night. The "regulars" get to sleep in our beds while our guests get other accommodations. It makes for better harmony for us. Because we foster on a regular basis our animals are very used to different dogs coming into our home. Our home is pretty quiet and relaxing.

About: I have had pets for my whole life, whether that be hamsters, fish, dogs, cats, bunnies, and even wildlife who need extra support to get back into their habitat. I have tons of experience with different kinds of dogs. I have had my dogs since they were puppies all the way to the end of their lives, which gives me knowledge about each of the stages of pet’s lives. I also have volunteered at a dog shelter for 6+ years, so I have experience working with reactive dogs to dogs who are extremely timid and shy. I can guarantee that I have seen all kinds of personalities between all kinds of animals. I also have worked with cats at the shelter, which also gives me insight on the way cats can be which could range from very sassy (like my cat Benny lol!), to the sweetest cats. Along with those experiences with different personalities, I have lots of experiences with injured animals and have had exposure to treating wounds/minor injuries in animals. I have had to learn how to treat my dog’s diabetes since she was recently diagnosed, and have accommodated my lifestyle to fit her needs as a diabetic. I also have learned how to manage an obese dog’s weight into a healthier weight. Overall, I have grown up surrounded by animals and have seen an abundance of different situations within different kinds of animals!! I currently attend a university in the Des Moines metro and will be commuting from my home to school. This ensures that I have time to go back and forth between my house and school, which will allow me to make frequent trips to check on the pet. I also live with my parents who work from home, so there will always be someone watching the pet and ensuring that everything is going well. I get off from school around noon every day, so that will allow me to go back home and spend the rest of the afternoon with the pet and pay full attention towards them!! In my home, I am responsible for feeding, bathing, cleaning after, and spending time with all of my pets. I have learned how to trim nails, properly bathe a pet, treat one of my dogs that has diabetes, and clean wounds when a pet gets injured. I have been able to experience many situations with pets and stay calm during an accident. I am willing to do anything to accommodate any pet because they deserve to have a life of luxury, just like us! I am also committed to ensuring that any client who has special accommodations for their pets gets those wishes granted and will do everything in my power to make sure the pet has a great time with me!!

We got him when he was very young and he loved to an old age for a lab, so I have experience with both young and old dogs. I have a flexible schedule where I can pop around to your pet when needed. I have a heart for animals along with the patience needed to give quality pet care. Your pet will always come first and I would treat them as if they are my own.
About: I have had dogs my entire life. That’s a long time! I assure you your dog would be in good hands! I will love them like they were mine! I stay home now so I’m available pretty much anytime. I’m willing to go to your home if it’s not to far away. Just ask I’m sure we can work something out. I have a fenced in yard. I have two friendly dogs. One has a crate and one doesn’t. They both sleep where they want. I crate one only sometimes.
About: Not only have I had my own animals most of my life but for 3 or 4 years I was also a foster home for the breed Weimaraner. Animals are like my kids and so will be your animals. Would prefer to discuss with each animal owner what is needed as I work full time but I am flexible so would like to be contacted. I am very protective and treat all animals as my own whether they are in my house or there own. If I’m my home or there own I would follow there owners instructions on what is required.

About: I grew up in a home with pets and enjoy being able to include them in our home and give them love and attention while their owners are away. I work from home and am able to care for your pet weekdays except for Fridays and occasionally over the weekend schedule depending. I have a fenced in yard and my family and I love to play fetch with dogs or tug of war and we usually walk around the neighborhood several times throughout the day to enjoy nature and get our limbs moving and love to have a dog on our walk with us as we stroll the neighborhood. I have a fenced yard and a very flexible schedule to allow for lots of attention and play time. I also have several pet loving children who are gentle and enjoy loving on pets.
