About: I have personally had a pet or 3 since I was 13 years old. I begged for a cat for years and once I got one, I never have been without at least one pet. I have been volunteering with the ARL since 2005. I have had 30+ foster dogs through them as well. I just love animals. I do have weekends blocked but just ask about availability! I am retired. I enjoy going for walks with dogs and depending on the dog spending time outside in my fenced in backyard. I have a 6 foot fence. Your dog will have the ability to be part of our family and our family pets are on our furniture. We do separate our home animals, fosters and house guests at night. The "regulars" get to sleep in our beds while our guests get other accommodations. It makes for better harmony for us. Because we foster on a regular basis our animals are very used to different dogs coming into our home. Our home is pretty quiet and relaxing.

About: NOTE: Off during summer, but I work weekdays throughout the school year. Still available during school, but pets will be at home without me on weekdays for about 7 hours. I have owned and cared for dogs for over 25 years. I have cared for small dogs <25 pounds all the way up to large sized Great Danes > 200 pounds. I have been fostering dogs for Safe Paws Iowa for the past 4 years. I am available for a large portion of the summer because I only coach softball outside of the school year. About: Growing up I have lived with dogs of all sizes and other animals such as farm animals my entire life. About: Not only have I had my own animals most of my life but for 3 or 4 years I was also a foster home for the breed Weimaraner. Animals are like my kids and so will be your animals. About: I've had dogs since the day I was born, and responsibly started taking care of them since I was around 10 years old. I've taken care of dogs from 8 weeks old to 16 years. As an adult, I've had 2 dogs and have cared for them in their crazy puppyhood to more gentle yet demanding senior care. As your dog sitter, I can provide enrichment via walks, playing, and basic tricks and skills you want me to work on with your dog. I can feed and refresh water bowls. I can help with medication if needed. I am happy to care for any of your pets' needs during a visit. I treat my all of my pets like my children and I am so excited to start caring for yours! “I think my Sam had a great time with Cynthia and family…and he was so lucky that Cynthia’s daughter was there with her little dog Reggie, so he had a playmate the whole time he was there (9days). Cynthia watered her plants outside and my Sam loves to be watered also. And with the very hot weather, he enjoyed it. Will be returning!”
“Colonel had another stay with Kimberlee and Mitchell. As soon as we arrived, Colonel could not wait to start playing with their dog. Kimberly sent me updates each day which gave me peace of mind that everything was going well. We will be using them again and we highly recommend!”

“Gizmo had a great stay with Brooke and her family. He and one of their cats, Chester, became very good friends, which is wonderful. We know that Gizmo is not aggressive with cats, but he hasn't had much 1:1 time with cats, so we were very pleased that the two enjoyed playing! Brooke made a concerted effort to walk Gizmo on his home schedule to avoid accidents, which I greatly appreciate.”

And if any of you are owners of little anxious dogs you know this is a big deal!! Missy also did a great job communicating with us and sending tons of photos which we appreciated. Having Bella stay with Missy made us feel at ease, allowing us to enjoy our trip to the fullest knowing Bella was in good hands. Would highly recommend booking with Missy and I’m sure Bella looks forward to her next visit!”

Jessica’s dog was in a kennel when we arrived to make drop off less stressful for both dogs. The pups were introduced after we left to get their sniffing done on neutral territory (on a walk out front). We received photos and updates during our whole time away and knew Blanca was happy and safe. We would be happy to use Jessica again in the future!”
