About: I’ve always been around cats and dogs for as long as I can remember. I’ve mastered the process of giving medications. I’ve volunteered in a shelter some years ago and I learned a lot while I was there. I’ve trained all of my current and past pets and even helped some friends with theirs. I craft my own pet food in my kitchen to ensure all nutrients are available to them. I take pet health to a very serious level! Currently, I’m just in school So I have plenty of time. I’m available Mon- sun at 10am, 3pm, and anytime after 5pm! Friday is the only day that I’m available at 11am rather than 10am but I’m free for the day after 11am. I focus on keeping pets comfortable, safe, and on their normal routine. I take time to learn their personality, feeding schedule, litter habits, and any specific needs before caring for them. I’m always present and in tune with their body language to make sure they’re comfortable and not showing any signs of distress or possible health concerns. The communication line is always open and you will receive plenty of photos with each visit so you can know for certain everything is looking okay. When I’m with your pet, it’s all about your pet and only your pet! I will never do something you have not listed in your instructions- the more in depth the instructions, the better!

About: I’ve had for dogs of every age and size for my entire life, but have been a serious caretaker of them for about 10 years. I can give medicines including insulin shots, and will heed every dietary and exercise need given to me. I’m currently working full-time, however I commute from Ames to Des Moines every day so I am used to driving long distances. I also have a very flexible schedule and can work from home if I can give at least 2-3 days notice; I can leave for long periods at lunch; and I can get off work early if a drop-in visit is needed before 4:00. I can also stay as late as necessary into the evening, as long as expectations are communicated beforehand. I cannot take pets into my apartment or workplace, however, I have experience with strictly and loosely trained animals in just about every situation under the sun. About: Everyone knows me as the dog-obsessed friend. I've never met a dog I didn't have a connection with. Dogs seem to sense that something is different about me and that I'm the one to go to for extra love and pets. I have particular experience with and compassion for senior dogs. My husband and I rescued an 8 year old black Lhasa Apso in Chicago and got to spend 4 wonderful years making sure her remaining time was filled with love and happiness. That experience opened our hearts and minds to just how special a relationship with an older dog can be, and is what inspired us to open our home to fostering animals. When I'm not fostering or dog sitting, I'm playing with my neph-pups, seeing what the neighborhood dogs are up to, or watching funny dog videos online. I work from home full time as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. I am able to set my own schedule allowing me the flexibility to be available for all your pet's needs. Our home has a spacious fenced-in backyard for lots of running (plus some daring squirrels and rabbits around that seem to want to be chased). We have an adjustable crate for varying sized fur babies that I line with comfy blankets and padding. We keep the crate in our guest room with a noise machine and overhead fan so they feel comfortable and safe. For dogs who are used to sleeping in a bed, we forego the crate and just let a pup snooze right on the guest bed. If it's your home, I follow your instructions to make sure your pet is as comfortable and happy as if you were still there. I'm also a big photo taker! I will provide pup-dates multiple times a day until you tell me to stop.

I have availability for in home and drop in visits or walks during the weekend as well. I have a fenced in yard with two friendly and fixed dogs to give yours company while away. Open to in home or drop in visits as needed along with walks and needed exercise. I have two children that have been raised around pets that respect them and enjoy playing with them. If your dog prefers a crate we are a crate trained home.
About: I've taken care of dogs of all sizes, cats and numerous other household companions. I have roughly 14 years of pet care experience which includes personal, professional and volunteer experience. I have experience with puppies and geriatric dogs. I have taken courses in pet first aid and advanced pet handling. I'm currently an online full time student, so I have plenty of time to love and take care of your fur babies. I have open availability most days and am more than happy to work out a one-time, temporary, or long-term schedule with you. I offer dog walking, drop in visits and overnight (in clients home) pet sitting visits and can provide care during the holidays! I am in the process of obtaining my dog training certification. At this time, I can only provide care in client's homes. I will follow all instructions given regarding scheduling, care, and safety with your pets in your home.
About: I’ve grown up around animals my whole life and currently have four cats that I’ve cared for for the past four years. Growing up, my family always had dogs ranging from small to large breeds, so I’m comfortable with all sizes and personalities. I’ve also helped care for family members’ dogs over the years, including feeding, walks, playtime, and making sure they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I’m reliable, patient, and truly enjoy being around animals. I always try to make pets feel safe, loved, and cared for just like they would at home. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I’m already used to caring for animals every day with my own pets. I’m a teacher, so during the summers I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability to help with walks, drop-ins, feedings, or overnight care. I enjoy spending time with animals, so pet care is something I genuinely look forward to being part of my routine. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always try to keep their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I make sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of attention and playtime, and go on walks or potty breaks as needed. I also make sure they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I’m respectful of each client’s home and always keep things clean, organized, and well cared for.
