About: I've taken care of and owned many dogs over the years. I have had pets all of my life, dogs, cats, fish, turtles, guinea pigs...you name it! Neighbors, friends and family have continuously entrusted my wife and I to care for their pets. We will board only one family’s dog(s) at a time so you can be sure they get the attention they need. Our four kids are age 7-13 and will also provide extra attention and playtime for your dog. With six in the household you can rest assured knowing your dog will have attention at all times. Our 4 acre yard provides ample space for leashed exploring and there is abundant wildlife in the area providing new smells to investigate. Your dog will be walked a minimum of once in the morning and once at night with bathroom breaks every 2-4 hours or as needed. During the week my wife and I have the ability to work from home to provide care for your dog during the day. We do require dogs to potty trained and not have a history of aggression. They also need to be trained to not chew on non toys unless they are still puppies which we fully understand and can work with! We look forward to having an opportunity to meet you and keeping you pets well loved! No matter what our day looks like, there is always someone available to provide the attention and consistency of car for your dog(s), which is the number one priority. We also have a furnished basement that can be closed off if needed. Or a quiet capped garage and workshop room depending on the sleeping arrangements your dog is accustomed to. About: I love dogs so much. My girl is part of the family. I do have a yard leash I use to ensure your pet is safe. I'd be more than glad to meet up in advanced or do a trial day. About: As a veterinary medical student, who would I be without my at home patients? My personal cat, Skooter, is my special guy as he was paralyzed from the neck down at only 8 weeks old. We do require the breeds of dogs that we let in our house to not be breeds our kids are allergic too. About: I owned a dog for a couple years who had a disease that required special care when eating and drinking water, he had a lot of medical needs. I became profiecent in his needs and provided great care before he passed. With that said, I have experience with taking care of dogs with special needs. I also have experience raising a puppy from very young, so I understand reactiveity in dogs and have learned different ways to calm them down or pay special attention to them during moments of high reactivity ( like during walks) I am currently work remotely from home and have a pretty flexible schedule during my day that allows me to do side quests such as rover I have a fenced in yard and 1 dog who loves playing with other dogs! so your fur baby would have a best friend to play with during the day. Pets are akin to family/kids --- you just do it/take care of them as if they were -- which means, at times- putting their needs first I grew up in an environment where dogs/cats were given free rein of the home as if they were just another member of the family; I will respect other's desires if they chose to not have their animals on the furniture/all over the place, but I am comfortable with dogs/cats being everywhere/anywhere. About: I have taken care of different breeds & different age groups, such as puppies, young dogs and senior dogs. I've been involved with dogs most of my life. I'm open to working with special need dogs. I also love working with cats!! I work at home and control my schedule.
