I've done extensive research on cat communication and enrichment. I’ve also helped many of my friends better understand their kitty kids. Beyond that, I have experience administering subcutaneous injections, oral liquids, and pills. I know a decent amount about feline safety from my days fostering mother cats and kittens. About: Dogs have always been in my life. I volunteered at Animal Lifeline for 8 years and had a dog daycare of my own for a while. Dogs are everything and I’d be honored to love on yours. I currently work full time from home so doggie day care is definitely doable! My day ends at 3 pm so I can be that late afternoon or evening potty break or walk. Weekends have potential as well with pre-arranged time and notice. Should your dog(s) stay with me during the day, I have a fenced yard and no carpet in case of oopsies! If you request that I come to your house I am very reliable, responsible and respectful. I can guarantee a boat load of scritches and belly rubs as well as time for “business”.
About: I believe that animals were put on this earth to show us how to love! The least we can do is return the favor ❤️ I work from home so I have all the time to show your pet love away from home! When I'm not working I have most evenings and weekends available to check in when they are at home! I have a Fenced in yard and two dogs to keep your pup company! About: I have had pets for my whole life, whether that be hamsters, fish, dogs, cats, bunnies, and even wildlife who need extra support to get back into their habitat. I have tons of experience with different kinds of dogs. I have had my dogs since they were puppies all the way to the end of their lives, which gives me knowledge about each of the stages of pet’s lives. Overall, I have grown up surrounded by animals and have seen an abundance of different situations within different kinds of animals!! I currently attend a university in the Des Moines metro and will be commuting from my home to school. This ensures that I have time to go back and forth between my house and school, which will allow me to make frequent trips to check on the pet. I also live with my parents who work from home, so there will always be someone watching the pet and ensuring that everything is going well. I get off from school around noon every day, so that will allow me to go back home and spend the rest of the afternoon with the pet and pay full attention towards them!! In my home, I am responsible for feeding, bathing, cleaning after, and spending time with all of my pets. I have learned how to trim nails, properly bathe a pet, treat one of my dogs that has diabetes, and clean wounds when a pet gets injured. I have been able to experience many situations with pets and stay calm during an accident. I am willing to do anything to accommodate any pet because they deserve to have a life of luxury, just like us! I am also committed to ensuring that any client who has special accommodations for their pets gets those wishes granted and will do everything in my power to make sure the pet has a great time with me!!

About: I grew up on a farm, caring for pets of all shapes and sizes! I've had many dogs over the years, from young to old and big to small. I am experienced with giving medication, baths, nail trims and love! I am very adaptable to your pets needs. I am currently in college, so I do have classes 4 days a week (Mon- Thurs). I am only away from home 4 hours at the most, and can make stops in to my apartment between classes on longer days. I am able to host pets in my apartment! I live in an upstairs studio apartment and spend much of my time there, when not in school. I have a 360°camera installed to watch your pet if I have to spend any time away. My apartment complex has a spacious lawn that is entirely fenced in. In my clients home, I am extra careful to follow any house rules. In case of overnight caretaking, I am comfortable with any sleeping arrangements (couch etc.). My top priorities are your pup and your preferences!

About: Animals should be treated like the family they are. I have a full acre with multiple secure fences for your animals to play around in. Any animal that loves being pet will get a lot of attention! They deserve to be treated with love and respect because they are apart of your family and are very important. I am a stay at home mom and that gives me a lot of flexibility with timing and scheduling. I am a stay at home mom so I have time to play with your dog and relax with them. They will be outside for a good part of the day with me as long as they want to be. There is plenty of shade as well as water available. There are two fences in place so your dog is really secure. There will always be water available as well as shade. If the weather is bad, or they prefer to be inside most of the day, the downstairs has enough room to run around a bit and is comfortable with a bed and water for them.

She made sure that she knew everything that Sadie may need or if there are any concerns that I had. She also took Sadie last minute which was super great for me. During Sadie’s stay, she sent me multiple videos and pictures which really helped me feel at ease, leaving my pup in her care. She’s very communicative and let I know what Sadie was doing throughout the day and when she was going for walks and how much she was eating. Sadie was very tired after her stay and I know that she enjoyed hanging out with Kelsey and her pup. We will absolutely be using her again in the future.”
“Jessica is a terrific dog sitter. We rarely leave our dog, so when we do it is nice to feel comfortable leaving her with a trusted sitter. About: Dogs and cats are my first priority whenever I'm over at a friend or family member's house. My brother had asthma so we re-homed our dog Sylvie when I was seven years old--I have some very dramatic journal articles from that time! So, whenever I got to be around pets, I gave them as much of my attention as they were interested in. I am now lucky enough to have my own dog (Shannon, the goldendoodle in my profile picture) but can never get enough time with dogs and cats!! Over the summer my schedule is relatively flexible, so if your dog needs a walk or your cat needs to be fed at any time throughout the day, I should be able to make it work! My goal is to maintain your pet's routine as much as possible! I can spend one-on-one time with them, take them out, or just check on them as the situation requires.

“This was my first time using Rover and I was pleased with Jessica’s quick response time and enthusiasm to meet and care for Blanca. The process was easy and drop off went smoothly. Jessica’s dog was in a kennel when we arrived to make drop off less stressful for both dogs. The pups were introduced after we left to get their sniffing done on neutral territory (on a walk out front). We received photos and updates during our whole time away and knew Blanca was happy and safe. We would be happy to use Jessica again in the future!”
