“Another great stay for our pup with Holly! We are so grateful to Holly for accommodating a last minute stay that our dog clearly loved. Excellent communication and care.”

“Alice was fabulous!! She sent photos and a video and updates as to how our pupster was doing. We felt confident that she was in very good hands. Our dog is usually anxious around other dogs but she warmed up quickly to Alice’s little frenchie and they even had some play time. We will use her again if we need this service in the future.”

“Cynthia was so easy to work with and was flexible to do a last minute booking. They were so sweet and have a great environment for out. My pup left happy, we will definitely be back!”

“Melanie and family took care of Maxim for more than a week like a family. They shared updates regularly and were very caring. We are so happy and would definitely recommend them.”

“Lisa continues to be awesome with my dogs. She notices behavior and offers suggestions as well. Love getting all the updates and pics so I feel comfortable with her care. As far as location, being close to the airport is a huge bonus.”
“Thank you so much for such a great first time experience. We appreciate the daily updated and pictures. My Gandalf will definitely visit again in the future. Thanks again.”

“My doodles had such a great time with Meagan in her home! She has a gorgeous spacious backyard for them to run and play in, which they LOVE. My boys always sleep great the night I pick them up, so I know they wore themselves out having fun! I’ll definitely keep using Meagan as a sitter when I’m out of town 🙂”

“Kevin was absolutely wonderful with my sweet Terry. From the very first day, he kept in constant communication, sharing updates that truly put my heart at ease. It was clear that Terry was not just cared for, but genuinely loved and treated like family during the 9 days she stayed with him. I’m so grateful to have found Kevin through Rover, and I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to trust him with Terry again. Highly, highly recommended!”

“Shaelea is great to work with. She has watched my dog twice now. She is very friendly and a great communicator. She accepted my fairly last-minute request, which was so helpful. I highly recommend her to others.”

“Kimberlee is wonderful! Our pup is a repeat customer of hers, and he didn’t even look back when we dropped him off. His tail was wagging the whole time! She sends lots of photos, and it’s clear your dog is in great hands with her. We’ll definitely be bringing our pup back!”

“This was the second time we left Stormy with Evan. The first time was for two weeks and it worked out so well for us and Stormy and I did not hesitate to leave him again with Evan for a weekend. I appreciate the photos and updates Evan sent while we were gone, and Stormy seems to enjoy staying with him. ”

“Erin and Chris are amazing!! They were super responsive. Genuinely listened to all of my dog mom concerns and were gracious and accommodating!! I got lots of pictures with updates and reassurance that everything was going well!! I will absolutely rebook with them when I have future needs!!”

“Becky took care of Silky very well and took him for walks and updated regularly regarding how he was doing. She also picked him up and dropped him off which was very convenient especially with the bad weather with snow at the time.”

“I’m so happy I picked Tam and Alexander to watch our dog while we were out of town! The communication was great and I received so many pictures and updates. I would 100% recommend them and we will for sure use them again when we travel ☺️”
“I think my dog (female) likes Osvaldo more than me know! He took good care of her for 2 1/2 days while I had to be out-of-state. My Tequila behaved herself even around his family.”

“This was my first time using Rover and I was pleased with Jessica’s quick response time and enthusiasm to meet and care for Blanca. The process was easy and drop off went smoothly. Jessica’s dog was in a kennel when we arrived to make drop off less stressful for both dogs. The pups were introduced after we left to get their sniffing done on neutral territory (on a walk out front). We received photos and updates during our whole time away and knew Blanca was happy and safe. We would be happy to use Jessica again in the future!”

“Cory has been a fantastic companion dog sitter for us time and time again! He does well with Skip's anxiety and give him great attention and exercise to keep him comfortable when we travel!!”

“Cassandra was amazing with our girls! She kept us updated and sent pictures during their stay. We highly recommend her and we’ll definitely be back! Thank you, Cassandra!!”

As a lover of ALL animals, you can trust your furry family members to my care. I currently work in healthcare, and I am very blessed to work three days per week, leaving me with abundant free time to enjoy the outdoors. About: Feeding, watering, and exercising your four-legged family members is the easy part. My priority is making sure your furry friends feel loved and special while you’re not able to be there. I know the stress and worry of having to be away and hoping your pet is being well-cared for. I am there to ease your mind and to make it less stressful for you and your pet. I am an expert cat and dog snuggler and have been known to be a cat whisperer for those felines that don’t warm up easily. Although I am new to this platform, I am not new to taking care of pets. I have been a cat and dog owner for over 30 years. I am also a proud cat/dog auntie for my nieces and nephew’s pets. Over the years I have also watched many friends pets while they travel. For most of last year while traveling for work, I housesat and watched furry loved ones through another platform while traveling for work in the DC area. I have been in healthcare for more than two decades, but I am currently on a break to work on some new projects. That work happens in my home office and I am my own boss. So my schedule is open and flexible. I am also comfortable taking care of special medical issues your pet may have. About: I was raised in Indianola, graduated from IHS in 1993 then Simpson College in 1997. As a retired financial services professional, life is all about family, friends, and spending as much time in nature as possible. Let's talk about how I can help! ********* ******** ******** ***** ****** ******* ****** ***** ********** **** *** **** *** **** ** **** **** **** ***** *** **** **** ***** *** **** **** **** **** **** **** ***** **** **** ***** **** ******* **** ******** ***** ****** ****** ***** ****** ****** ****** ***** ****** ****** **** ****** ******
About: I have had pets for my whole life, whether that be hamsters, fish, dogs, cats, bunnies, and even wildlife who need extra support to get back into their habitat. I have tons of experience with different kinds of dogs. I have had my dogs since they were puppies all the way to the end of their lives, which gives me knowledge about each of the stages of pet’s lives. I also have volunteered at a dog shelter for 6+ years, so I have experience working with reactive dogs to dogs who are extremely timid and shy. I can guarantee that I have seen all kinds of personalities between all kinds of animals. I also have worked with cats at the shelter, which also gives me insight on the way cats can be which could range from very sassy (like my cat Benny lol!), to the sweetest cats. Along with those experiences with different personalities, I have lots of experiences with injured animals and have had exposure to treating wounds/minor injuries in animals. I have had to learn how to treat my dog’s diabetes since she was recently diagnosed, and have accommodated my lifestyle to fit her needs as a diabetic. I also have learned how to manage an obese dog’s weight into a healthier weight. Overall, I have grown up surrounded by animals and have seen an abundance of different situations within different kinds of animals!! I currently attend a university in the Des Moines metro and will be commuting from my home to school. This ensures that I have time to go back and forth between my house and school, which will allow me to make frequent trips to check on the pet. I also live with my parents who work from home, so there will always be someone watching the pet and ensuring that everything is going well. I get off from school around noon every day, so that will allow me to go back home and spend the rest of the afternoon with the pet and pay full attention towards them!! In my home, I am responsible for feeding, bathing, cleaning after, and spending time with all of my pets. I have learned how to trim nails, properly bathe a pet, treat one of my dogs that has diabetes, and clean wounds when a pet gets injured. I have been able to experience many situations with pets and stay calm during an accident. I am willing to do anything to accommodate any pet because they deserve to have a life of luxury, just like us! I am also committed to ensuring that any client who has special accommodations for their pets gets those wishes granted and will do everything in my power to make sure the pet has a great time with me!!
About: I believe that animals were put on this earth to show us how to love! The least we can do is return the favor ❤️ I work from home so I have all the time to show your pet love away from home! When I'm not working I have most evenings and weekends available to check in when they are at home! I have a Fenced in yard and two dogs to keep your pup company! I also have an XXL crate needed if that helps comfort them, so that they have their own space when needed!
“Alexandra is great with Winnie and very communicative. She understood concerns I had and ensures Winnie gets a good mix of play and rest time. I’m not sure Winnie wants to leave when I come pick her up! She clearly enjoys her time here.”

About: NOTE: Off during summer, but I work weekdays throughout the school year. Still available during school, but pets will be at home without me on weekdays for about 7 hours. I have owned and cared for dogs for over 25 years. I have cared for small dogs <25 pounds all the way up to large sized Great Danes > 200 pounds. I have been fostering dogs for Safe Paws Iowa for the past 4 years. I am available for a large portion of the summer because I only coach softball outside of the school year. I am very active and would love to share that energy with dogs! Walking, jogging, or just playing in the doggy pool is no issue at all. My Golden loves to play if yours does! If not, I have the space to separate dogs too. Lastly, I have experience giving dogs meds as some of the dogs in my care have different long term conditions. Please reach out with any questions! Can’t wait to meet your precious pups! Please contact me if you have any remaining questions! I am mostly free over the summer and weekends. I run errands or make plans outside of when I’m taking care of pets. Pet care is my priority while hosting! I have a fenced in yard, my own can join in play if wanted, I have gates/doors and a finished lower level where I can separate dogs if need be, and have multiple kennels. I allow dogs on furniture, but can follow owner house rules.
“Sarah and her kids were great with Ozzy! He seemed like he had tons of fun and was so tired at pickup. That was the best result being that he napped the entire time on the next road trip destination. She handled Ozzy with care and sent lots of fun updates. 5⭐️!!!”

“Kelsey was wonderful with our girl Bonnie! Bonnie is a little anxious at first and has a bit of a loud mouth 😂but Kelsey was patient and had her relaxed and playing/napping in no time. We will absolutely trust her with Bonnie again.”

About: Growing up on a family farm, I have had the opportunity to care for many different kinds of animals (dogs, horses, cats, chickens, goats, pigs and cows). I have taken care of family and friends dogs for the last 20 years. I have raised 5 puppies and have shown a few of them in local shows. My kids are 13 and 10 and love taking our dogs for walks, hikes and playing with them in our very large back yard. I am home all summer and my school year schedule varies so I have plenty of time to take your pup on walks and play with them. I have a large fenced back yard and 2 pups friendly pups. I have the ability to take your dog to either a paved or dirt trail for walks or runs. My dogs walk 4 to 5 miles a day but I can definitely make the walk shorter if needed. I have the ability to separate the dogs if needed. I can also crate the dogs. Our dogs love to lounge on our couches.
“This was an amazing experience! I needed to make a trip to Ankeny and couldn’t leave my dog home for that long of a time so I hopped on this app and found her, so glad I did! He was a little scared at first but shortly made himself at home. Good communication and she sent photos! Made me feel good 💕I will be contacting Meagan again!”

“Lexi did great with Dove and gave us updates as she checked on our dog for a couple walks while we were out of town. It was an incredibly hot day and she took care of her to make sure she got outside but didn’t overheat.”

About: I grew up in the country. We always had at least 2 dogs and 2 cats at our home. I can keep your pets safe and happy. I currently don't have any pets of my own. I plan to get another dog here around July, so until then, I have plenty of time to look after yours. I typically will let dogs out to use the restroom or just play every 2 hours. I like to use positive reinforcement, treats, and affection while looking after animals. I realy enjoy spending time with dogs.
About: I genuinely care about the well being of every dog in my care. I will treat every dog as if it was my own, which means lots of treats(if allowed) and lots of pets, belly scratches and cuddles(if tolerated). I am currently working part-time and healing. Unfortunately financially I need more income so I thought “why not try Rover and spend some time with dogs(which I love doing!)”. So ultimately I will make this fit into my schedule where I can. I’m pretty flexible currently. Give me a chance and I promise you won’t be disappointed. I ask clients to leave detailed instructions. I want to make sure that while you are gone your dogs/cats routine stays as close to normal as possible! If that means your dog goes to paws n pints for a play date on Wednesday @2 then I’ll load up lassie in the car and get there! If your cat gets 3 treats at 3pm everyday then we will make it happen! All joking aside, I aim to please!
“Jessica was great! She took time out of her night to come visit Koda the night before she walked him and see how they did with each other! She was also a great walker and was willing to just hang out with him outside of his kennel and play with his toys! We will definitely be going back to Jessica again!”

About: I've had pets all my life and would love to care for yours too, on a temporary basis. I love to vacation and often struggle with finding a solution for my babies while I'm gone. For me my favorite choice is to have someone I know and trust stay in my home but there's hardly ever anyone available for that kind of commitment! I thought it would be awesome to be able to provide that kind of care for someone else: house/pet sitting, drop-in, or just walks/exercise. I want you to know your pets are loved and treated with gentle kindness. I recognize that I'm kind of a stranger to your babies and I'll treat them like my own and earn their trust! They'll be loved and cared for in a way that will make your absence less stressful for them and as much like their normal days as it can be while you're away. I take my responsibilities to others extremely seriously and won't be satisfied unless you are! I'm retired so my schedule is very flexible! I have availability on weekdays and weekends both. Mornings, afternoons, and evenings are fine by mutual agreement. I enjoy taking find for walks or just playing outside in the yard. On days where weather is bad, I'm happy to get the dogs outside to do their business and then play a bit indoors!

About: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My wife and I have been married for nearly 40 years, and throughout that time we've shared our home with three wonderful dogs—a Keeshond who lived to 15, a Border Terrier who also lived to 15, and our current French Bulldog, Bella, who is 8 years old. Bella has IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease), so I understand the importance of patience, gentle handling, following care routines, and recognizing when a dog needs a little extra attention. Caring for her has given me firsthand experience with dogs that have special health needs and reinforced the value of consistency and compassion. After retiring early from a successful career in information technology leadership, I'm excited to spend more time doing something I genuinely enjoy—helping dogs stay happy, healthy, and active while giving their owners peace of mind. Whether your dog needs a leisurely stroll, an energetic walk, or simply a dependable companion while you're at work, I'll treat them with the same care and respect I give my own. I'm dependable, punctual, cheerful, and an excellent communicator. I'm also very comfortable with technology, so I'm happy to send photo updates and messages during our walks so you can see how your pup is doing. I know how much our dogs mean to us—they're family. My goal is to make every walk safe, fun, and something your dog looks forward to while giving you complete confidence they're in caring, capable hands. Since I'm retired, I have the flexibility to dedicate my weekdays to caring for dogs. I'm available throughout the day until 6:00 p.m. for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, and companionship, making me a great fit for busy professionals who want their dogs to get exercise and attention while they're at work. I schedule plenty of time for each visit, so your dog will never feel rushed. Whether your pup enjoys a brisk walk, a leisurely stroll, or simply some one-on-one playtime and affection, I'll tailor each visit to their personality and energy level. Being reliable and punctual is important to me. I'll arrive on time, follow your instructions carefully, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your dog is happy, safe, and well cared for. I understand that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your pet is a big decision. My goal is to provide the same level of care and respect that I would want for my own dog and home. I'll carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding, walking, medications, playtime, and any special routines or restrictions your dog may have. Having cared for our own French Bulldog with IVDD, I understand the importance of paying close attention to a dog's individual needs and comfort level. I'll always make sure your pet has fresh water, receives plenty of attention and affection, and gets the exercise that's appropriate for them. I'll also treat your home with care by locking doors, respecting your property, and leaving everything just as I found it. Communication is important to me, so I'll send updates and photos during each visit to let you know how your dog is doing. My goal is for you to feel completely confident that your pet is safe, happy, and in caring, dependable hands while you're away.
About: I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to spend with your fur babies! I am available anytime after 10am every day! My apartment complex is very pet friendly! I also live near downtown so the fur babies and I can go on long or short beautiful walks!
About: I grew up surrounded by animals and spent most of high school and college as the go-to pet sitter for my friends, family, and neighbors. I’ve cared for all kinds of pets and animals so nothing phases me! Now that I have a bit more flexibility in my schedule, I’m excited to get back to it. As a dog and cat mom myself, I know how stressful it is to leave your babies behind. Whether it's a quick walk, popping in for a welfare check, or house-sitting while you're on vacation, I promise to treat your pets with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. I’m also more than happy to accommodate quirky routines. For example, one of my own cats insists on playing a round of fetch every single night before letting us go to bed. Whatever your pets specific quirks are, I've got them covered! I'm currently working part-time so I have a lot of flexibility when it comes to pet care. I'm available most of the day and all week (including weekends) Even if your house has a fenced in yard I am always present and alert when if comes to letting pets out and playing with them.
About: I had dog when I was only 5 years old and always been taking care of dogs since I was growing up and now have my own baby, Porky and everyone always relies on me to watch their dogs and caring fir them while they are gone. I really love animals and dogs big time. I always let them outside whenever they feel like it and play roam around in backyard with fence :) I would go on dog walking and they give me excuses to work out too lol. They are my world. I would treat ur dogs as if they were my own. I am working a full time student at college but very flexible with hours. I can do after work for dog walking and even babysitting them too. My husband, he will definitely help me out if I need to when I m at school etc. Can always talk about needs and when etc. I do have a big backyard with fenced around. I have two dogs they will love to play with others. I would like to introduce them to your first before start let them play. I can always separate them if need to so they can take turns. I can give them bath, feed, take them out for walk, and even stay overnight if need. I would let you bring ur own dog foods for ur pets so that way it Is separate. I will always give them treats if being good. All you have to do is let me know what not to do or to do for them so I can be prepared.

About: We have been pet sitting for friends and colleagues for 2 years so thought why not join Rover and do more! Our clients love my family and we love their pets so it makes perfect sense. I have 4 kids, a small dog and two cats and my small pets just hide if a visiting pet is too much for them otherwise they don't get bothered or bother anyone else, human or pet! I work from home and I have 4 kids who love cats and dogs and love to help out with the dogs that we already provide services for. We are trusted with hideaway keys to homes to let dogs out and we run them in fenced in yards to burn energy. Then we make sure they have food and water and kennel them if applicable before we leave. In our house, visiting pets are watched over by all members of the family. Sometimes we buy them their own special toy to play with. We make sure they eat and get any meds they might need.
About: Spending time and interacting with animals has always been a passion of mine. Over the years I helped my grandma run her dog sitting service, taking the dogs for walks and cleaning up the kennels. I also enjoy being outside and taking my own dog for long walks and fun trips to the dog park. My dog is a family member and I intend on treating yours the same way. Your dog will have a great time exploring the city and playing with others at the dog park. I hope to someday have my own place where I can board dogs just like grandma did!!! I spend 90% of my time with dogs and we enjoy playing with other pups at the dog parks, we are traveling nomads and look forward to meeting you My dogs live in my van with me Both are crate trained. I feed my dogs twice a day. They enjoy laying around the house being lazy. Going to the dog park to play with others is always fun too!!! We also enjoy walking
About: I love any dog that crosses my path I have experience with lots of small dogs but also some very large dogs and am able to handle them both. I have experience with older dogs who may need more help with certain things but also the most energetic younger dogs who need to be played with and walked many times a day I am still a student athlete in college so I have classes and practices throughout the week but your pet will never be left alone for longer than about 2 hours at a time which will be a very rare occurrence, my classes end in April so ill have a lot more free time soon as well Making sure they are fed in a timely manner, I love playing with dogs so as long as they have energy ill be there to play with them, making sure they get walks and potty breaks often, and taking care of any special needs they might have that ive been made aware of.

“Another great stay for our pup with Holly! We are so grateful to Holly for accommodating a last minute stay that our dog clearly loved. Excellent communication and care.”

“Cynthia was so easy to work with and was flexible to do a last minute booking. They were so sweet and have a great environment for out. My pup left happy, we will definitely be back!”

“Becky took care of Silky very well and took him for walks and updated regularly regarding how he was doing. She also picked him up and dropped him off which was very convenient especially with the bad weather with snow at the time.”

“Katie was so amazing with my dogs! I have a 3 year old rescue who can be overly sensitive at times as well as a 5 month old Belgian Malinois puppy who is the complete opposite. This was my first time using Rover, and also having such a great job, sending updated pictures of them, and making sure I was informed and comfortable the entire time. My pups had such a blast!!! We will DEFINITELY use her again!”

“Jessica was great with our dog Louie, loved the pics and vids during his stay. Booking and communication was easy and efficient. Highly Recommended, and many Thanks!”

“We loved having Lucia watch George! We can tell he was well care for by the way he came home and plopped down like we just got a nice big walk. He relaxed and content. Thank you thank you! We highly recommend!”

“Rebekah was awesome! This was our first time using a dog sitter so we were a little nervous. We had a visit with her dogs and after a little while, we were comfortable they would get along ok. Rebekah was very flexible and responsive and sent us pictures every day. She truly took care of our dog and loved her like her own. She had so much fun, which helped us to relax and not worry while we were away. It was a great experience and we will definitely use Rebekah in the future and recommend her to anyone.”

“Elizabeth is an amazing communicator and true lover of dogs. We feel so taken care of when we leave our pup with her and her family! Our dog is so excited to stay with her, and comes home happy and tuckered out. We can't recommend Elizabeth enough!”

“Patricia was amazing with Maxx! We met her before boarding, and right away I felt confident he’d be in good hands. While we were away, she sent regular updates and pictures, which was so reassuring. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter. Thanks again, Patricia!”

“Alexandra made me feel very comfortable leaving Homie with her for a week. Her house is perfectly set up for dogs and she has a massive backyard. She washed Homie’s bedding before we picked him up and his food bowls too. She provided photos every day and really kept us reassured that he was well taken care of.”

“Rachael was amazing. She responded back quickly and got a meet & greet done with. She listened to instructions and seems passionate about canine care! Definitely recommend and will continue to hire her!”
