“Simply wonderful!! Yi, Ta and Irene made our Aussie a part of their family with daily walks and rope tugs while we were off-island for about a week and a half. About: Trained with large dogs and no problems with little ones. I’ve cared for cats, birds, reptiles and more. I love taking walks and playing fetch. I also know how to give medications and care for elderly dogs as well. I love animals, especially dogs and appreciate being able to help them. About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of pets since a young age, including raising guide dog puppies with my family. I’ve since owned dogs, cats, rodents, lizards, frogs, spiders, and fish so I can tackle many needs. I’m well-versed in basic pet first aid and dietary needs (having worked at a specialty pet shop that made its own healthy gourmet pet treats for several years). My own dogs have included a registered and trained therapy dog as well as my current rescue dog who I’ve trained through his struggles with anxiety and reactivity. He and I love outdoor adventures and being active! I’ve fostered over 20 dogs and cats through shelters of all shapes, sizes, and ages and can’t get enough. I’d love to get to know your pet and all their unique quirks! I’m a teacher, so my schedule is wide open during the summers and school holidays. During the school year, I’m free after 3PM weekdays and anytime on the weekends. I’m very conscious of pet health and wellbeing. I’m selective about the food and treats I give my dog and willing to adapt to the needs and expectations of other pet parents who know their pets best! “When Haku did the initial meet & greet, he seemed nervous and ill at ease with Penny's two dogs. Imagine my relief when we left after dropping him off for his first playdate and within minutes hearing from Penny that Haku was thoroughly enjoying himself and bossing the other dogs around. :) Penny is great at communication: she sends texts and photos and videos - I can see for myself how much fun Haku is having. We'd meant the daycare to be temporary until our son returned from CA; but Haku loves it so much we plan to take him at least once a month. Haku was 7 months old when we first started his playdates with Penny; I think it was SO important for his socialization: he loves meeting new dogs and people. I feel extremely lucky that we found Penny and Oliver and George!! :-D”

Their leashes, litter and food must be provided with pickup/drop-off (If certain things aren’t attainable due to just getting to the island I can get them myself as long as the money is provided) Dogs— I have a back patio that they would be in the shade, a yard that they can play in and I will take them on multiple walks throughout the day and they’d get plenty of play time. Cats— I have two friendly cats myself, but if your cat would prefer to be by themselves I have a spare bedroom, litter box and cat tower they can use.

When we dropped Bailey off, it was raining and he whimpered as if we were abandoning him. The updates proved my worries were needless.”
About: I’ve always loved and enjoyed caring for animals and have always been someone who naturally connects with them. I have my own puppy, so I’m used to the real, everyday moments: the energy, the routines, the messes, and all the love that comes with it. Being around dogs makes me happy, and I bring that same positive, calm energy into every pet I care for. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality because not all of them are the same. Whether your dog is playful and full of energy, a little shy, or just wants a calm companion, I’m here for it! I’m patient, gentle, and very in tune with how animals feel, which helps them relax and feel some peace. I know leaving your pet with someone can feel nerve-wracking (I’ve been there) so I make it a priority to keep you updated and give you peace of mind. When your pet is with me, they’re not just being watched, they’re being cared for, loved, and treated like family. 🐾 I’ll always send you lots of pictures! I recently became an Army Vet and have all the time in the day to love and care for your pet. I always go for our daily walks, sometimes go to the dog park or beach. And I always enjoy teaching them a new trick :) I can provide your pet with their own space for their crate or kennel if needed. And I have room for all their essentials. I can provide them with whatever special care they need such as vitamins or medication.
“Kaitlyn was great. She took in Bree with just a few days notice and Bree enjoyed herself. Kaitlyn is energetic and took Bree on daily walks (long) and that was important to me. As a pit-mix they need to be walked so they can sniff everything. Kaitlyn followed my lead on using the snacks in the puzzle toys to break up the boredom that Pit's can get if not stimulated. She was a great dog-sitter.”
About: Trained with large dogs and no problems with little ones. I’ve cared for cats, birds, reptiles and more. I love taking walks and playing fetch. I also know how to give medications and care for elderly dogs as well. I love animals, especially dogs and appreciate being able to help them. I’m available daily for walks, feeding or check in’s every day of the week. I have a decently sized yard that is totally fenced in, even for little dogs. I have an attached garage as well as numerous baby gates. I have my own vehicle and I’m skilled at caring for others homes as well.
