I never want any pet parents to be “out of the loop.” I work very well with treat training or praise. If I need to crate an animal, I prefer positive reinforcement. I treat animals how I would want to be treated! I love meeting dogs or cats first to establish some trust or a comfortable relationship. A decent conversation with an owner would work as well.
About: I have been surrounded by animals my whole life. Throughout college and after, I have had two dogs and two cats of my own. One of my past job experiences is as a vet tech so I have a bit of handling/caring for all types of animals. I currently have a senior doggie so I am able to provide senior dog (or cat) care if needed as I know having older dogs requires more patience and understanding (which should be regardless of any age) due to it being hard to get up and move around than the younger babies. I will go over and beyond to make sure your fur baby (or babies) are comfortable with me as they normally are with you! I am in my 2nd year of medical school and currently studying at home for a couple exams so can easily make time to care for your baby as a drop in or while staying in my home with my dog, Pixie. I have a fenced in yard and large single family home which I have one room that is completely empty that could be ”the fur baby(ies) room” if need be. I can also bring my study stuff over to spend the day studying and playing with your baby in their own safe environment, but will need to run home occasionally to take care of my own dog, Pixie.
About: I have always grown up around animals both cats and dogs! I have my own dog that I got when I was 13, he was my responsibility to take care of! And I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes too! I love to meet new dogs and friendly faces! I would love to meet your dog! I am very much an animal person! Please don’t hesitate to reach out! I will respect all wishes for you and your animal.
