While we were out of town they would send little videos and photos of just how well she was doing. In everyone Luna looked as happy as a new puppy. When I came to pick her up I would say she was happier and looked even better than when I left my house with her. If we need a sitter again, no doubt Stephanie will be our go to. Eclipse is becoming a senior cat so she needs more care, but Dutton is only 3 and still has a lot of kitten in him. About: I owned cats for my entire childhood and part of my adult life. Once I got married I wasn’t able to get another cat since my husband is allergic. I miss taking care of an adorable cat! I love their aloof personalities and the trust you have to gain with them to get them to open up. About: As someone who personally has an animal with special needs I understand the kind of care they need! I also have experience working with animals of all ages. Along with working with animals of all ages I have both volunteered and worked at a local Humane Society. Working there entailed feeding, cleaning, and providing medical care to both cats and dogs. I volunteered at a cat shelter for 3 years and am always pet sitting for my neighbors! I am currently a full-time student but I have a very flexible schedule with my classes! About: I’ve been dog sitting for my parents and neighbors for the last 13 years now! I’ve expanded to friends and other family as I got older! I’m currently working Monday-Friday at an office, but working on switching to remote work so my schedule will be more flexible due to being able to work from anywhere. I have 2 dogs of my own, both I have had since they were old enough to leave their moms, one is 2 years old and one is 5 months now. My 2 year old is always ready to play and normally does really well around other dogs, but does play rough so maybe being around older dogs is not a good idea lol! The 5 month old is still getting trained and learning. I have also always grown up with dogs in the house ever since I was a baby. About: Animal Shelter Enrichment Volunteer, Stephanie "Stevie" is experienced with managing the special needs of high-anxiety and/or reactive dogs. She has rescued and rehabilitated 3 dogs of her own, and 6 cats. She is an active volunteer at the local animal shelter, helping with adoption events and enrichment activities. Stevie has been a pet-sitter since she was 12 years old. She started with plants and birds, and now 20 years later, can work with any animal, including ones that require bottle feedings, complex medication schedules, or homestays up to 2 weeks. Farm animals too! Chickens, ducks, and goats! She was a camp counselor for 3 summers and also conducted a work exchange at a homestead farm for 1 summer. She successfully worked for Trusted Housesitters but has switched to Rover for more local opportunities. “We took our dog on a mini vacation with us. Last minute option since we didn't want to take him everywhere with us and plus we couldn't in some places. Too many people get him really excited..So we were searching and found Rover app. Started looking around on it and found someone close by. She worked with me with it being such short notice. Yappie met her and we did too and knew he was gonna be just fine. She has dogs too so that was @ plus. She sent many pics and kept up letting us know how he was ... Her dog Barney Yappie loved... “Was welcomed before I ever got out of my truck by this beautiful family. Could feel a peace and comfort in just our first few words. Once I got Ms Luna out you could see their care for dogs. While we were out of town they would send little videos and photos of just how well she was doing. In everyone Luna looked as happy as a new puppy. When I came to pick her up I would say she was happier and looked even better than when I left my house with her. If we need a sitter again, no doubt Stephanie will be our go to. Can't thank y'all enough for all you and your family did for Luna.”
