We were traveling internationally and they drove our dog across town to OUR emergency vet immediately. They also helped me communicate with the vet while he was hospitalized. When we returned home they offered to drive our other dog to our home for us while we were navigating continued emergency care. They made one of the most stressful moments of my life far easier and they were so kind every step of the way. (Our sick boy is now fine.) I could not possibly recommend them more. If you are nervous about leaving your pets with someone, know that these lovely people will care for your pets as if they were their own.”

“Parker seems to have enjoyed his stay. Ok the meet and greet, he loved their home, their pup Charlie, the lovely yard and most importantly Christine & Miller. He peered out the window when we were leaving because he didn’t want to go. Parker spent most of his time with Miller and Charlie, and they all seemed comfy. Miller got many cuddles from Parker, which is awesome to see, and I picked Parker up, he was happy but not relieved. You never want your pup to run out like, “oh God you’re here! Take me home now.” If I stayed and chatted, he probably would have relaxed and played with Charlie more. It was comforting to know my guy (a senior) was safe and happy during his visit.”

“Elisabeth and Forrest are amazing! From the moment I brought Pixie over for a meet-and-greet, I could feel the positive energy in their home and knew they would be a great fit for her. One of the biggest signs was Pixie’s behavior during our visit—rather than running to the nearest hiding spot, she came out of her carrier, explored the house, and plopped down on the floor as if she were already at home. During Pixie’s stay, she unexpectedly developed conjunctivitis and needed an emergency vet visit. Elisabeth and Forrest handled the situation quickly, professionally, and with genuine care. They kept me informed every step of the way, which gave me tremendous peace of mind while I was away. By the time I picked Pixie up, her eye was almost completely healed. This was my first time using Rover and my first time leaving Pixie with a sitter, so I was naturally a little nervous. Despite the unexpected health issue, I truly believe Pixie enjoyed her stay and was well cared for. I highly recommend Elisabeth and Forrest and would absolutely trust them with Pixie again.”

Neighbors and friends have relied on me in the past to walk and feed their pets while they are not home. I currently work from home part time so I am always present here. Your pet will get walked 2-3 times a day depending on your preference and will have plenty of treats and toys to play with when we are back inside. I also have multiple orthopedic dog beds around my apartment so your pet can get some good rest. I have covers on all of my furniture so they are welcome to hangout there as well!

I understand the need for having pet care for traveling arrangements and during working hours (especially the late nights) and the concern with them being with someone that will take care of them. I am available around the clock for pet care. I am free most days of the week. I will need to be able to leave the house on occasion at regular intervals for errands at times. I have a fenced in yard and one male dog that lives in the home with me. I also have a young child at home and she is great with pets. I would be home most of the day and would be the primary caretaker watching your pet(s) other than personal errands. I can crate your dog during those times if needed. Our dog stays out of his crate unless he wants to go into it on his own. I can have them stay in separate rooms, if needed. About: Picked up three strays when I was 9 years old. Have had dogs ever since including a beautiful German Shepherd named Rocky. Currently, I have three strays again. I work from home all the time and live next to a 1000 acre forest with a hiking trail where I walk my dogs 2-3 times a day. They then sit in air conditioning. I will walk and play with your dog as needed and then they will sit in air conditioning with food and water. My dogs are very friendly.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. To me, a home is not a home without a dog! I grew up with boxers and a standard poodle. I’ve adopted three dogs in my adult life, and regularly watch my family‘s dogs, which range in size from 15 pounds to 100 pounds. Every dog has a personality and it’s my job to discover it, care for them, and to earn their trust. I work full-time, but in a hybrid environment and have a lot of flexibility. There are no children in my home, so I’m able to provide good attention to my canine guests. I have a large backyard that is fully fenced with a 6 foot privacy fence. About: Hello and welcome! I'm Heather, but I go by Xel (pronounced •zel•) and it's nice to meet you! I have owned more dogs and cats (as well as a ferret, lizard, fish, and a spider and have handled various others) than I can count through the years (I'm almost 40 and we've had a LOT!). Everything from domestic shorthair to Bengal-mix and Schnauzers to German Shepherds. I have house-sat for both friends and family for many years (short and extended!) and I have administered medicine in pill form, as well as inhaler (would be willing to learn injections if necessary). Our oldest cats have lived 18 years, and I currently own four cats (all rescues, aged 2 to 16). Our oldest dogs have lived 15+ I believe, but it's been a long time since owning one (my parents are disabled). I have done a bit of training with dogs and cats alike, but I am not a professional. I'm HIGHLY flexible, so if you would like to know more, feel free to reach out! If you've made it this far, have a lovely day! ♡ I'm available at a moments' notice the majority of the time! This includes overnights, emergencies, and short/extended stays. As long as there is clear communication, I'll do my best to aid in any situation, even if it's within the hour! ♡ For our own cats, our oldest, Max, has to be fed separately from the others, as he needs a higher calorie diet than the others. All of the cats are treated with flea medication and I clean multiple litter boxes several times a week. For friends and family, I have had feeding schedules for both dogs and cats, ranging from custom mixed and weighed portions to simply making sure the auto-feeders/fountains are kept clean and filled. My best friend's dog gets playtime and outside time (he has a runner and a ton of toys to play fetch with). My Aunt's cat would need constant watch, as he needed an inhaler if he walked too far or his anxiety flared. I'm also open to doing light chores, so feel free to reach out with any and all questions!
