She was patient, kind, attentive and diligent in her pursuit of a friendship with Marvel, our 4-year old Frenchie. Marvel is a rescue who lived a very difficult life ahead of finding our family. Because of this, he is very distrusting of new people. Her generosity was overwhelming. As she realized his deference towards her would require more wooing. About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life and have a deep love for both dogs and cats. I’ve owned four dogs over the years and currently have three rescue pups of my own—including one foster “fail” (lesson learned: don’t foster puppies 😊). I’ve taken basic dog training classes and have worked with trainers over the years, so I’m comfortable handling different personalities, energy levels, and behaviors. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal like they’re my own—with patience, care, and lots of love. I have volunteered at animal shelters and have fostered many dogs over the years. I've learned a lot about dog behavior through that experience. I have given cats and dogs oral medication and have administered insulin shots to dogs. I work from home most of the time. I am usually not away from home for more than 4 hours. During the fall semester, I am away on T/R for about 8 hours a day. I have a large fenced yard and 3 dogs at home. Two of my dogs are seniors and one is almost 3 years old with lots of playful energy. I also have a large finished attic space that I use for doggy play, especially when it's super hot/cold outside.

From the very beginning, they showed incredible patience and care with Rosie, who was extremely hesitant during both the meet-and-greet and drop-off. Her stress even caused some stomach issues but they were only focused on her comfort and well-being, which meant the world to me. They made sure Rosie got plenty of exercise, played fetch with her, and gave her so much love and attention. They even went above and beyond by dressing her up as Ms. Claus for Christmas and doing a photoshoot 🧑🎄🐾. Throughout the stay, they sent multiple updates every day filled with hilarious and witty messages that kept me smiling and reassured the entire time I was away. By the time I picked Rosie up a week later, it was obvious she had fully settled in. As a bonus, she was bathed and read for bed at pickup. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was in middle school. Dogs always seem to love me and, even in my household growing up, I was always their favorite and who they depended on. I’m 6 foot and muscular so I’m especially good with big dogs but also love small ones. I’ve probably watched pit mixes the most though. All in all, your dog is in good hands. I have plenty of free time as I work on my own schedule. I give my own dog multiple walks and time for attention that a regular 9-5 wouldn’t permit. I have a small dog to keep your dog company. She doesn’t bite or bark. I stay on the backside of my apartment and the first floor so if they’re ever over, it’s quick and easy to take them out to use the restroom.

“Amika was timely and has excellent communication skills. She came to our home to meet Marvel, our four year old Frenchie. She was sure to learn about his favorite toys, snacks and schedule. After pickup, she sent timely updates. I still treasure her many pictures and videos. Amika is an absolute Angel! She was patient, kind, attentive and diligent in her pursuit of a friendship with Marvel, our 4-year old Frenchie. Marvel is a rescue who lived a very difficult life ahead of finding our family. Because of this, he is very distrusting of new people. Her generosity was overwhelming. As she realized his deference towards her would require more wooing. She committed to winning him over, even purchasing him a huge pack of his favorite toys– tennis balls. She even refused reimbursement. 10/10 I will book with Amika again and again!”

About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life and have a deep love for both dogs and cats. I’ve owned four dogs over the years and currently have three rescue pups of my own—including one foster “fail” (lesson learned: don’t foster puppies 😊). I’ve taken basic dog training classes and have worked with trainers over the years, so I’m comfortable handling different personalities, energy levels, and behaviors. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal like they’re my own—with patience, care, and lots of love. I have volunteered at animal shelters and have fostered many dogs over the years. I've learned a lot about dog behavior through that experience. I have given cats and dogs oral medication and have administered insulin shots to dogs. I work from home most of the time. I am usually not away from home for more than 4 hours. During the fall semester, I am away on T/R for about 8 hours a day. I have a large fenced yard and 3 dogs at home. Two of my dogs are seniors and one is almost 3 years old with lots of playful energy. I also have a large finished attic space that I use for doggy play, especially when it's super hot/cold outside.
“Jennifer and Nicholas were truly exceptional dog sitters, and I cannot recommend them enough. From the very beginning, they showed incredible patience and care with Rosie, who was extremely hesitant during both the meet-and-greet and drop-off. Her stress even caused some stomach issues but they were only focused on her comfort and well-being, which meant the world to me. They made sure Rosie got plenty of exercise, played fetch with her, and gave her so much love and attention. They even went above and beyond by dressing her up as Ms. Claus for Christmas and doing a photoshoot 🧑🎄🐾. Throughout the stay, they sent multiple updates every day filled with hilarious and witty messages that kept me smiling and reassured the entire time I was away. By the time I picked Rosie up a week later, it was obvious she had fully settled in. As a bonus, she was bathed and read for bed at pickup. Rosie would love to stay with Jennifer and Nicholas again (assuming they’ll have her!), and I would trust them with her in a heartbeat. Truly the best sitters you could ask for.”
