“When we needed to make a quick trip to New Hampshire we scheduled a “meet and greet” to visit with Virginia and see how our recently adopted dogs would react to a stranger as they are not socialized with people. Normally they bark and are hyperactive when seeing any stranger. After five minutes they were calm and seemed to be “at home” with Virginia! Virginia cared for our fur babies for five days and we were more than pleased with the care she took with them. She has the experience and skills to make dogs “comfortable” in new surroundings. She kept us updated with photos and text messages letting us know how they were doing on a daily basis. When our flight was delayed in returning due to weather and we were several hours late Virginia was most gracious allowing us to pick up our dogs late at night as she knew we were anxious to see them… for this we are most appreciative for her understanding as well as cooperation. We can recommend Virginia without reservation and believe she loves dogs as much as we do. Virginia provides excellent care.”

I think that’s the most important thing. These days is reliability and trust. I work at an emergency clinic in Atlanta on the weekends and right now I’m free through the week. I can try my best to work out whatever you need help with. I’m skilled at giving medications and anything basic your pet may need in home, as well as lifesaving care due to any emergency. I can keep non child friendly cats in a different area, but dogs must be child friendly. I do have cats & ferrets, but they can be kept separately if your animals are not cat & small rodent friendly. I have 2 dogs as well. All of my animals are pet friendly with everything as many animals have come through my care fostering. I'm skilled in exotic pet care as well if necessary. I currently only work weekend overnights in the ER. So, I am home all week caring for my fur babies. As well as yours hopefully! I strive to care for anyone's else's pets exactly as I would my own. When they are with me, they are my babies too. I bring my ER compassion with me when I pet sit, in the ER the pets are without their owners & they are scared on top of being hurt. I work remote and so dogs get attention/company all day when they stay here. There’s usually multiple play/fetch sessions outside with the dogs every day and neighborhood walks throughout the week. About: Pets are like family and should be treated as such. I have been taking care of all sorts of pets since I was a kid; everything from birds, cats, dogs, bunnies, hamsters, and even a snake. I am currently on summer break from college so my schedule is very flexible based on your needs! In the event of a last minute addition to time for care needed for your pets, I will more than likely be able to adjust. I have a large, fenced yard (roughly 4 acres total of land) in which your dog can roam free, play, use the restroom, and have fun in. I have two large dogs on the property next to the one where I currently live in (which my parents own), so if your dog does not enjoy the presence of other dogs, we can arrange for separation or on the contrary, they can all play together! As for cats, I have a nice cat tower and plenty of toys that they can use. If they enjoy the presence of other cats, they can stay in the main house along with my 3 other furry friends or on the contrary, can stay with me in my house, completely separate from the main one! There is a lot of flexibility based on your furry friends wants, needs, and personality! If you require special, specific needs for your pet, we can communicate and see if we can work things out!

We have a large fenced in yard, but the dogs come and go in and out as they please. At bedtime they are in for the night and sleep in their crate or as we get more comfortable and see how they do on their bed or with the person they want to snuggle with that night. ***I do ask that pets are bathed before their arrival, just as a precaution for my pets, home and children. About: Over the years, my husband and I have had several pets, from cats to dogs to lizards to chinchillas. At one time we had 9 indoor cats. We have a soft heart and it’s difficult to turn away a stray. Any time we see a stray in our neighborhood, we do what we can to find the owner. Our two dogs have accompanied us on many day hikes and they both love the outdoors as much as we do. One of our dogs, Rosie, was a stray that we took in at 1-year-old. She is now 16. We adopted our other dog, Clayton, at the age of one. He is now 12. We have deeply loved all of our pets and look forward to new pets in the future. About: I don't have any professional experience, but I've grown up in a family that has housed a lot of dogs and cats since I was born. We've had 4 dogs and 7 cats from my early childhood until today, so while I did obviously have the rest of my family to assist with them, I've still had firsthand experience with a lot of different behaviors and habits of these pets and how certain traits or preferences vary between them. I finished college at UGA recently, so I'm currently at home full-time. Pet care would be pretty easy to fit into my weekly schedule. I always try to make sure I feed my cat her treats once a day around the same time, so consistent feeding and cleaning wouldn't be that much harder with additional pets. I am gone some evenings on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, but other than that my time is fully open to help your pets stay relaxed, happy, and healthy. My backyard has a fence, but it's currently old and unrepaired, so the gates cannot close properly, so any pets prone to running will be staying inside or on a leash. My house is very small, but my front and backyard are very spacious, ideal for pets that are uncomfortable in small spaces. My cat can be skittish around other animals, so I will need to keep her in a separate space from them, but my family's done that with many of our cats, so it will not be a problem for the client or their pets. My roommate stays inside most of the time, so but he's also very friendly and should not pose any issues for the pets.
