I can personally pick up or return your dog along my existing daily route, allowing you to leave your dog comfortably at home without coordinating an in-person handoff. If a pet displays aggression, extreme fear, severe anxiety, or behavior that makes a visit unsafe, I will still make every reasonable effort to ensure their essential needs are met, including food, water, medication when safely possible, and potty access. However, I may modify or shorten the visit if continuing would increase stress or create a risk of injury. This is never done as punishment. It is a safety decision intended to prevent escalation and protect everyone involved. Any significant concerns will be clearly documented and communicated to you. 🛏️ Crate or confinement requirement for boarding For boarding stays, dogs must be comfortable resting safely in a crate, exercise pen, gated room, or behind another secure household barrier. This is a firm boarding requirement. At night, during meals when separation is needed, and anytime dogs cannot be directly supervised, boarding guests will be safely confined. This gives every animal appropriate space to rest and ensures all pets remain secure while I am sleeping, showering, completing household tasks, or briefly away from home. Crates and gated spaces are always used as calm, neutral resting areas, never as punishment. If your dog normally uses a crate, pen, gated room, or another confinement routine at home, please share the details with me so I can keep their stay as familiar and low-stress as possible. Dogs do not need to love being crated, but they must be able to tolerate safe confinement without panicking, attempting to escape, or injuring themselves. If your dog is not currently comfortable with any form of secure separation, boarding may not be the right fit at this time. In that case, drop-in care in their own home may be a safer and more comfortable alternative. This is non-negotiable.

About: I have had dogs most of my life that I helped take care. I ended up getting my own dog when I moved. I have my own place and love to have dogs stay while their parents are away. I work at Shands in the emergency room but have enough space for a safe pen when I’m away. I have a small dog park in my complex that I take my dogs to in the evening. (Limited cell service though so calling is limited. ) I have 4 indoor cats as well, but they have their own space (bedroom) and prefer to hide out there if there are any 4 legged visitors. I live on 1 acre in Alachua, Florida and about half of that is fenced, so we have a fully fenced back yard with plenty of room for running and playing. I'm also close to the I-75 interstate. I take my job very seriously and understand how stressful it can be to have to leave your pets with a stranger. I always recommend a meet and greet first before booking with me, but sometimes things are last minute and that's okay too. About: I began house sitting in high school for close family friends and neighbors. The first family who trusted me had quite the crew — two birds, a turtle, two senior cats, a dog, and even a couple of fish. Caring for their pets, especially the cats, taught me early on how important consistency and attention to routines can be. Since then, I’ve cared for and walked many dogs while babysitting and nannying, both for short visits and overnight stays. I understand the level of detail it takes to help pets feel comfortable and to give owners peace of mind while they’re away. I also have experience caring for pets with medical needs. My own dog tore his ACL while I was in college, and for months I carried him up and down stairs while managing his recovery. He also had allergies that required daily medicated baths, a special diet, and multiple medications. He was clever enough to try to outsmart me when it came to pills, which taught me patience, creativity, and a sense of humor when caring for animals. I truly believe every pet has a unique personality. I approach pet care with attentiveness, patience, and playfulness so animals feel safe, understood, and well cared for. My goal is always happy pets and complete peace of mind for their owners. I work a full-time schedule during the week, but I’m happy to provide care before and after work and occasionally in the evenings depending on timing and location. With advance notice, I’m also happy to adjust my weekend schedule to fit your pet’s routine. I do my best to accommodate requests whenever possible. I treat my pets as family, and I have witnessed my family and friends care for pets as if they are a child. On days I couldn’t bring my dog along, I trusted the people watching him to do the same, and maybe even add a little extra love for missing his family.

About: I always had cats growing up and have been a dog sitter for friends/family the past eight years. I’ve had a pup of my own for four years now and can’t imagine my life without her. I treat animals like children and understand how important it is to take care of others’ pets to their standard and beyond! I am a full-time teacher leaving my availability more limited during the school year but I am extremely open during the summer (unless I’m already booked). I do need a bit of notice but am willing to work out a plan at the last minute if possible! House sitting/Drop-Ins: I will always treat your home and belongings with the utmost respect. I’m a firm believer in leaving the home as clean or even cleaner than when I entered it. I will ensure your fur baby’s daily routine is met with careful attention to detail and comfort! Boarding: I have a fenced in backyard and a fur baby of my own to help keep yours company (but let’s do a meet and greet to make sure they get along to ensure their safety)! We love going on walks around the neighborhood, playing fetch in the backyard, hanging out inside in the AC during the hotter months, and cuddling on the couch. Sally is my only dog (Beatles is my sister’s and stays with Sally during our joint vacations). Sally is crate trained for anxiety while alone, so as a safety measure, you are required to bring a crate for your dog when boarding. Dogs will only be crated when we aren’t home. My husband will also help out with your fur baby at times, so if you’d like to meet him too, just let me know! :)
