“We booked last minute after our previous Rover cancelled. We were panicked to say the least but after having our dog with her, I’m glad the other person cancelled. First off, she was very responsive all throughout the process (before,during,ending). Next her house is in a safe area, is in close proximity to USF and has a big backyard space. She sent us three photos over the course of the doggie daycare day (about 5-6 hours) and we could just tell our dog was having a blast. We also got confirmation of this upon pick her up when she greeted us and she started snoozing. We could tell she was well taken care of and was treated like another one of the family. Her and her partner were great and Merlot got a cute goodie bag and bandanna at the end of the day. Last in her profile she mentioned English as a second language but she’s very modest about this my husband and I chatted with her and her partner and language was never an issue or barrier. Thank you for taking exceptional care of our dog and we will most definitely rebook in the future.”
About: Growing up in a household filled with pets has provided me with a strong foundation in animal behavior, care, and communication. About: Mainly taking care of larger dogs, I also take care of medium and smaller dogs, along with the occasional cat. I wash them if needed, feed them with whichever brand is appropriate for them and make sure they feel loved the entire time they are in my care. Even though I am going to school full time, I will make time to show my dogs all the love in the world. All dogs deserve snuggles and kisses. I have two dogs, one small and one medium, that are friendly and can keep your baby company. They can be caged per request. Walking is done every few hours.

The longest I’ve ever gone without a pet is only a year or two, so caring for animals truly feels second nature to me. I’m also a certified dog trainer with past experience working with shelter dogs. While I’m not offering formal training, I’m very comfortable reading behavior, reinforcing routines, and helping pets feel calm and confident during their time with me. I always respect your house rules and your pet’s unique needs. Most importantly, I focus on making your pet feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. I’m a big cuddler, and if your dog loves exercise, I’m a runner who’s happy to help them burn off energy too! My goal is for you to relax knowing your pet is in kind, capable, and loving hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work remotely, which allows me to bring my work with me and be present with your pet throughout the day. About: I’ve had dogs since I was a little girl, and we got our first cat just a few years ago but they’ve seem to have fallen in love with me lol. My main concern is making sure your pet is happy and comfortable, doesn’t matter the situation. I’m very gentle with them and I always make sure to communicate or ask when necessary, I don’t want to assume and be wrong or not inform you if something happens. **Please do not book boarding for the weekend if your pet cannot handle being alone for 12-13 hours (in regards to going to the bathroom), as I work every weekend** I am in college and I work full time. I typically work 3-12 hour shifts a week, but my class schedule is more flexible. Please just ask if a date/time works and I will let you know! I’m in an apartment so I don’t have a lot of space inside. The complex does have a little fenced in dog area, and there are some dog parks in the area that I would be willing to go to if you have a more active pet. I don’t have anything toxic in the apartment, or in a place they could reach at least (medicines/rubbing alcohol, that sort of stuff). I also like going on longer walks, 20-30 min if the weather is nice.

“Melissa & Alan were so warm and welcoming to my energetic Apollo. They were also very patient with me, as the nervous dog momma leaving her pup in a new place for the first time. The meet & greet went so well that I immediately booked them that night. Apollo had access to toys, plenty of space to run, and endless belly rubs (his favorite). Melissa & Alan made sure Apollo was comfortable on his first night with them and were great in communicating with me and sending me pictures.
