“Jessie came to the rescue after another sitter we had booked (Allison Y) canceled on us, just 15 hours before our week long trip. She responded to our request immediately and offered a meet and greet at our home since she was out running errands. The drive was out of her way - way above and beyond. It was obvious when we met her, she loved animals. She was genuine, kind, friendly and asked all the appropriate questions. Because we were leaving the next morning, she offered to take our pup with her to save us some time in the morning. She administered medication for our dog Mel and made sure she was comfortable with her 2 dogs. Mel took to her 2 dogs right away with no issues, enjoying runs in their large fenced in backyard. Jessie gave us peace of mind during our trip, sending pictures and videos throughout the day. Pictures of Mel were proof that she was happy and having a good time. About: I grew up on a sheep farm with inside and outside dogs. Fostered with the Carolina Great Pyrenees Rescue and local shelter as a kid. NC State Agricultural Science graduate with an Animal Science minor. Now, I teacher middle school agriculture, running an on campus barn with 15 rabbits, 4 goats, 13 chcikens, dairy cows, and pigs. Our schedule changes week to week due to school/farm activities. I live 5 minutes from school and leave for work around 7am and am home around 4pm. I am available to come home at lunch around 11:30am. Your pet may attend some agricultural functions with us as permitted. During the summer, when school is out, we are home much more. Dogs may have free roam around the downstairs (kitchen/livingroom). Walks around the neighborhood will be provided on leash and there is a dog park for off leash play. Your pet may attend some agricultural functions with us as permitted.

I grew up with several pets who were part of the family, including a dog and four cats. Currently, I have a crested gecko named Savoovfy 🦎 and a mixed Jack Russell dog named Taro 🐶 , whom I adore. About: Someone in my family always had a cat, and I always wanted to be friends because I could never have one. I learned the hard way very young that cat trust is hard earned. Once I was old enough, cats in need of homes fell into my lap and they have taught me more patience than I ever expected, especially when handling introducing new cats to established homes. From fighting flying fur bunnies, to combating the endless litter boxes, cats after surgeries and on meds, I’ve had a lot of experience helping cats feel their most comfortable.

About: I began house sitting in high school for close family friends and neighbors. The first family who trusted me had quite the crew — two birds, a turtle, two senior cats, a dog, and even a couple of fish. Caring for their pets, especially the cats, taught me early on how important consistency and attention to routines can be. Since then, I’ve cared for and walked many dogs while babysitting and nannying, both for short visits and overnight stays. I understand the level of detail it takes to help pets feel comfortable and to give owners peace of mind while they’re away. I also have experience caring for pets with medical needs. My own dog tore his ACL while I was in college, and for months I carried him up and down stairs while managing his recovery. He also had allergies that required daily medicated baths, a special diet, and multiple medications. He was clever enough to try to outsmart me when it came to pills, which taught me patience, creativity, and a sense of humor when caring for animals. I truly believe every pet has a unique personality. I approach pet care with attentiveness, patience, and playfulness so animals feel safe, understood, and well cared for. My goal is always happy pets and complete peace of mind for their owners. I work a full-time schedule during the week, but I’m happy to provide care before and after work and occasionally in the evenings depending on timing and location. With advance notice, I’m also happy to adjust my weekend schedule to fit your pet’s routine. I do my best to accommodate requests whenever possible. I treat my pets as family, and I have witnessed my family and friends care for pets as if they are a child. This takes place at the location where care will be provided and gives us a chance to review your pet’s routine, home setup, safety needs, and comfort level. **Meet and greet exceptions:** * Cats do not require a meet and greet unless there are medications, behavioral concerns, or a complicated home setup * Puppies under five months may be booked without a meet and greet when appropriate * Returning clients may fast-track future bookings Please schedule your meet and greet at least 72 hours before your first requested service so we have enough time to coordinate properly. After the initial meet and greet, you are all set for future bookings. If you move to a new home or apartment, you are welcome to schedule another visit so I can become familiar with the new layout, entry instructions, and pet-care setup. 🚶♀️ Dog walks and drop-ins I organize dog walks and cat drop-ins into efficient daily routes using flexible arrival windows. Dog-care windows: * Standard visits generally take place between 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM * Morning visits may begin as early as 8:00 AM * Evening visits may be available for dogs who need additional flexibility **Cat-care windows:** * My preferred cat visit window is between 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM * Visits requiring medication or strict timing will be scheduled around those needs whenever possible Dogs are generally prioritized earlier because of restroom needs, but every pet receives the same level of care, attention, and communication. 🐾 Premium boarding Boarding is a high-touch, in-home service for clients who want a fully hands-off experience while their dog is away. At this time, boarding is available only to dogs who already have an established walking, drop-in, or daycare relationship with me. This helps ensure your dog is already comfortable with me, my home, my routine, and my resident pets before an overnight stay. Dogs boarding with me must be safe around cats and respectful toward my personal dog. Dogs showing aggression, predatory behavior, severe resource guarding, or repeated unsafe behavior toward resident animals may not be eligible for boarding. If a boarding stay must be ended for safety reasons, care may be converted to drop-in visits at your home for feeding, potty breaks, and companionship whenever possible. 🚗 Premium pick-up and drop-off For added convenience, I offer pet transportation as an optional add-on. I can personally pick up or return your dog along my existing daily route, allowing you to leave your dog comfortably at home without coordinating an in-person handoff. This service is priced accordingly to reflect the additional time, travel, and personalized care involved. ⛔ Important booking policies * One complimentary meet and greet is included for new clients * Additional meetings should be booked as a walk or drop-in to cover time and travel * Every pet receiving care must be listed on the Rover booking * Bookings should be confirmed within 48 hours of the meet and greet or the requested time may be released * House-sitting and drop-in bookings follow a seven-day cancellation policy * Availability is not guaranteed until a booking has been formally confirmed by you. through Rover. My goal is to be both your pet’s advocate and your peace of mind while you’re away. 🚨 Safety and stress policy Safety is always my top priority, both for your pet and for me. If a pet displays aggression, extreme fear, severe anxiety, or behavior that makes a visit unsafe, I will still make every reasonable effort to ensure their essential needs are met, including food, water, medication when safely possible, and potty access. However, I may modify or shorten the visit if continuing would increase stress or create a risk of injury. This is never done as punishment. It is a safety decision intended to prevent escalation and protect everyone involved. Any significant concerns will be clearly documented and communicated to you. 🛏️ Crate or confinement requirement for boarding For boarding stays, dogs must be comfortable resting safely in a crate, exercise pen, gated room, or behind another secure household barrier. This is a firm boarding requirement. At night, during meals when separation is needed, and anytime dogs cannot be directly supervised, boarding guests will be safely confined. This gives every animal appropriate space to rest and ensures all pets remain secure while I am sleeping, showering, completing household tasks, or briefly away from home. Crates and gated spaces are always used as calm, neutral resting areas, never as punishment. If your dog normally uses a crate, pen, gated room, or another confinement routine at home, please share the details with me so I can keep their stay as familiar and low-stress as possible. Dogs do not need to love being crated, but they must be able to tolerate safe confinement without panicking, attempting to escape, or injuring themselves. If your dog is not currently comfortable with any form of secure separation, boarding may not be the right fit at this time. In that case, drop-in care in their own home may be a safer and more comfortable alternative. This is non-negotiable.

About: I go by He/him and It/its! I've been looking after dogs as soon as I turned 8. I have experience with high-energy animals, as I take care of two at the moment. I have experience administering medication, bathing, walking and tending to the needs of those with skin issues. I am fully available any day of the week, including the weekend, starting 10 AM. However, I am not open on Thursdays until after 5 PM. I do not take requests for boarding at the moment due to the unpredictable nature of my own animals.
