“After a few questionable experiences we found Luke and Signe. We have boarded with them three times so far and each experience has been wonderful. When we arrive for drop off the pups aren’t terrified or fighting to get back in the car. Instead they eagerly hop out and head for the gate to get inside and run around. When we arrive to pick up the pups, they are excited to see us but not blowing through the fence and us to leave there. Communication is great, I never wait for updates and they answer any questions in a timely manner. They also send pictures on a daily basis. I will continue to use Luke and Signe until they retire.”

However, I find that staying in a more familiar environment is often less stressful for the animals. I treat every animal I care for as if they are my own- always following feeding instructions to the letter, ensuring constant access to fresh water, facilitating adequate and suitable play/exercise, as well as giving lots of snuggles. I also worked in a veterinary practice in Maryland and have experience with elderly and sick cats and dogs. I currently have no pets, so have an empty nest and we are looking for some company! I work from home full-time so I am available for walks and giving affection to pets at all hours of the day. My husband Also works from home and loves pets, particularly cats. We are a young active couple new to Florida!– walks and running are a regular occurrence for us. We do not have children so we have lots of time and energy to give to a pet! We recently had to put our cat down after 19 years and have found the house too empty! We have a very large home and a very large yard that is clean and safe. None of our neighbors have dogs and your pet would be able to go outside with us for walks on a leash or in the backyard. We have space for a crate in the home and lots of space for pet beds. We do not have any pets at home so can accommodate boarding any type of pet.

I work a small job from Tuesdays through Thursdays in the afternoon. Tuesdays I’m not available after 3:00, Wednesdays I work only an hour around 5-6, Thursdays are 6-8. About: Our place or yours? We live in a 3/2 home.. Our back yard is fenced in and secure. We do have two doggies that love other dogs. I can come to your home also. This is all I do now, and I love it! I previously worked 5 1/2 years at a local animal hospital. I have been working with Rover 8 years and I love it! My husband is a sergeant at a local prison. Several local families I have pet sat for, for almost 11 years. I can come over and walk your dog(gies) each day, or check on them several times a day. Our pets are family members. About: I’ve always been an animal lover! Growing up, we had just about every kind of creature you can think of. Outside of my own miniature zoo, I’ve fostered both dog and cats over the last 10 years for various rescues. I’m currently a full time online college student at UWF so I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to be home most of the day outside of my kids school pick up and drop off’s. My pets are a huge part of my family and being a military family, I understand the need to trust who’s taking care of them. I will happily send as many updates and pictures as you want! Our home is on 2.5 acres with a sizable section fenced in plus a trail through the rest of the property for leash walking. Dogs are never outside without supervision for both mine and your peace of mind. All of our dogs are very people and dog friendly. They are all also crate trained so if there’s a need for me to leave the house they can be put up. We have a spare room and a climate controlled garage if your furry friend needs a break or some space but there’s plenty of space in the living room for everyone to hang out.

I follow their usually routine as closely as possible. Whether it’s feeding schedules, walks or bedtime rituals to help make them comfortable and reduce any stress.
About: I love animals. I have lots of cat experience and a bit less dog experience. I love to pet sit for my friends when they go out of town and I enjoy walking dogs for my daily exercise. My favorite thing to do these days is to stay home and watch movies with my cat or my parents’ 3-legged dog. I’m very attentive to the needs of animals to include their safety, cleanliness and health. I’m a nurse and I work 12 hour shifts. This means my schedule gives me more days off during the week when compared to a 9-5 job, but my schedule is not the same each week. If we schedule pet sitting in advance, this is what I would prefer. Last minute appointments would be fine too if I am off work for the day. I’m a bit of a night owl so weird hours are fine too. About: I have been caring for animals for as long as I have been alive. I am more doing this to help those with cats as I have a house full of them and have a hard time finding help for them than for my dog when going on vacation. I volunteer with an animal rescue and can administer shots as well as give meds to cats and dogs. I have 3 cats and 1 big dog and normally about 5 fosters that I work with. If you hire me for drop ins I will make sure to sit with your pets and give them lots of love or play whichever they need. About: I’ve always had a pet in my life, whether it was a dog, cat, reptile, bird… you name it. We’ve had it. I currently have pets of my own both dogs and cats. I’ve had them all since they were babies, oldest being 10. I’ve pet sat for friends, family and coworkers in the past and still do now. I’m very knowledgeable about animals considering we have the Brady brunch here at home, I like to keep myself informed on all things dogs and cats to keep my babies happy and healthy. All of my pets are house trained, listen to commands and love their daily walks. Litter boxes are cleaned 3x daily, we like to keep a clean environment for them.

About: I've always had pets and I grew up on a dairy farm. I've bottle fed calves and lambs, raised dogs and leash trained them, cared for horses, chickens, almost always had cats, and even kept pet rats! I worked at a dog kennel and groomer at one time briefly, although the environment of a kennel leaves much to be desired as animals kept as pets are best kept in a home environment where possible. My 20 years is just an estimate of collective time with animals really, I am 33 years old. I have commitments to my church every Wednesday and Saturday evening and Sunday mornings. But during the days and even after services I can make time for potty visits or litter care etc. I am courteous of others' belongings and if I am doing a house call I will be diligent to leave things in good order, even in an improved state if possible.

“After a few questionable experiences we found Luke and Signe. We have boarded with them three times so far and each experience has been wonderful. When we arrive for drop off the pups aren’t terrified or fighting to get back in the car. Instead they eagerly hop out and head for the gate to get inside and run around. When we arrive to pick up the pups, they are excited to see us but not blowing through the fence and us to leave there. Communication is great, I never wait for updates and they answer any questions in a timely manner. They also send pictures on a daily basis. I will continue to use Luke and Signe until they retire.”

About: I have been an animal lover since I was young, babysitting pets often and a professional dog walker with a company called “fetch” in Maryland. I also worked in a veterinary practice in Maryland and have experience with elderly and sick cats and dogs. I currently have no pets, so have an empty nest and we are looking for some company! I work from home full-time so I am available for walks and giving affection to pets at all hours of the day. My husband Also works from home and loves pets, particularly cats. We are a young active couple new to Florida!– walks and running are a regular occurrence for us. We do not have children so we have lots of time and energy to give to a pet! We recently had to put our cat down after 19 years and have found the house too empty! We have a very large home and a very large yard that is clean and safe. None of our neighbors have dogs and your pet would be able to go outside with us for walks on a leash or in the backyard. We have space for a crate in the home and lots of space for pet beds. We do not have any pets at home so can accommodate boarding any type of pet.
