About: Like many others‚ I've been around animals my whole life, and while being a pet owner naturally teaches you about responsibility and how to take care of an animal, what really helped prepare me and build my confidence to provide reliable professional pet care was working in animal care facilities․ I began working as a kennel technician during my senior year of high school, where I was responsible for feeding animals, administering medications, cleaning kennels, and ensuring each pet received the attention and care they needed․ When I started college, I continued working seasonally during breaks, but eventually transitioned into a job that tailored my college needs. Throughout high school though, I continuously pet-sat for some family friends. I am currently a junior at Florida Tech․ I work as a customer service representative and animal care attendant at Dogspot Hotel․ The great thing about working at the Dogspot Hotel is that I get to interact with clients and their dogs‚ and provide the best service for each animal․ I am comfortable administering oral and injectable medications including insulin‚ as well as handling animals with a variety of medical conditions and behavioral issues․ A little extra about me, I have three dogs, three cats, and a Russian tortoise! When school starts up again in August‚ I will be a full-time college student at Florida Tech and working part-time․ My class schedule will be set‚ but my job is very flexible and I will be able to work around my class schedule․ Classes are scheduled mainly four days a week‚ with a mix of morning and afternoon availability. This gives me more flexibility to care for pets, including check-ins throughout the day, or overnight in the case of boarding․ I currently live in Melbourne‚ in the house that I rent with my roommates‚ and while my roommates have no problems with me having pets, our landlord has stated that they do not allow pets in the house. So any pet care would have to take place outside of my home.

About: Since a young age, I've always had animals around me, from hamsters, ferrets, bunnies, to bigger animals like cats and dogs. Interacting and caring for animals is my #1 hobby. Currently, I have a cat and dog named Bella and Freddy A.K.A Moose and Bread. First thing every morning I feed them breakfast and take Bella for a walk. I can never sleep in anyways because Freddy will be up bright and early pawing my face at 6 am waiting for his food. The rest of the day consists of playing, grooming, cleaning the litterbox, and walking Bella every hour. I don't see these as "chores" because I like to do these things, it's like taking care of a friend. Then comes dinner, and we do it all over again tomorrow, bright and early. “We had a great introduction and walk. Our dog is afraid of new people, but with proper introduction (and the right treats) he warms up well. For this first walk we where present the whole time to make sure our dog’s comfort and confidence would open up. We wanted to find a Rover person who in future we could possibly board with. So we needed him to be happy and relaxed with the new Rover person. At first our dog was nervous and wary, which historically he usually is with new people. But after a bit time and space, yummy treats, and remaning a comfortable walking distance apart from Joshua, his curiousity grew enough where he was willing to approach. Josh got down to his level and which allowed our dog to approach Josh on his own will. When that moment happened we rewarded his curiousity with lots of praise and yummy treats. From then on we walked side by side with Joshua, and our dog warmed up enough where he was frequently looking back anticipating more pets and treats from Joshua during the walk. Joshua also asked us great questions about our dog and his history, to figure out how to best work with him. In the end our dog was so happy when Joshua said “good bye Stitch,” he actually did one last hop-skip towards Josh even though we were getting ready to go to our car the opposite direction away. We have much gratitude for the opportunity to work with Joshua to socialize him more. We are planning on booking in the future for some types of walks too and would be willing to board if needed.”

I am a mother of two beautiful dogs one named Simba (with mom in France), and my princess named Angel. She was in the shelter her whole life. She understood from the moment I rescued her that she had a furrrever home :) Also, I’m a dual citizen, French and American, so if your dog comes home speaking French don’t be surprised 😁 Availability is based upon demand. I accommodate as much as possible to make sure your baby will be taken care of at the time needed.
