About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with dogs, cats, and hamsters, and for the past 22 years I’ve always had a dog of my own—they’re truly part of the family. Right now, we have a sweet 2-year-old Italian Greyhound, so I understand the energy, patience, and consistency that come with caring for a young dog. I also have experience caring for other types of pets, including our bearded dragon, so I’m comfortable with different personalities and needs. About: We adopted our first pups in 2004 and cared for them for 18 pup-snuggled years. During that time, and since then, we have rescued, fostered and adopted animals of all kinds to include chickens, ducks and a pig named Kevin Bacon! Currently, we're home to Guinevere, the mild-mannered, 6 year-old rescued mutt. We do have an 11-year-old hooman "puppy" who is just as loving and respectful of animals as we are. We will love and care for your fur-babies as if they were our very own. We are home almost all day, every day, so your pet will never be alone. I homeschool our son, and my husband works from home. Your pet will have ample opportunities to play outside in our 1/2 acre back yard. Our neighborhood is very quiet with houses situated on ~acre lots. We have neighbors with dogs, but they usually just run over to the fence to say hello and then go about their business. In our home, your fur-babies can roam freely, and they will have access to our 1/2, partially shaded, completely fenced-in back yard as often as they need. If your dog is one who prefers walks, our peaceful neighborhood has lots of places to explore; there is a nice park 1/2 mile away where they can sniff around where all of the turtles and ducks like to hang out. Pups who stay with us overnight are welcome to stay in their crate (if that's what they prefer), anywhere in the house, and, likely, on one of our beds.
About: I always say ..."if a person doesn't love a dog then we cannot be friends." Gated community with great walking streets and no traffic. When your pet is we with me in my home then they are home as well. They are welcome to be on the furniture and sleep in the bed if they like to do that. My dogs are also allowed on furniture but if your dog is not allowed to get on furniture, that’s no problem, my dogs do not get on furniture unless they’re invited to. If I offer the service at my house, you also do not have to worry about your pup ever being alone!
