We had a few previous meetings and greets where he decided he wasn’t a good match with the prospective dog walkers. Jordan arrived on time dressed both professionally and appropriately for a first meeting and walk with a high energy dog. She took the time to introduce herself, meet and bond with Moose, and was very easy to get along with and knowledgeable about not only working dogs but also the Rover program itself. She spent time in the back yard playing fetch with him (he tends to make you feel like you’re an automatic tennis ball thrower) and then took him for a nice walk. She quickly learned his hand signals and Dutch and English voice commands. Pet care is already a seamless part of my daily routine. Since I work from home, I’m able to give dogs consistent attention throughout the day rather than limiting care to mornings and evenings. During work hours, pups are typically with me in my home office or relaxing on the veranda, so they’re never left alone for long periods. Weekend care is just as flexible, allowing time for longer walks, playdates, and extra enrichment as needed. My day naturally includes regular walks, outdoor time to explore and stay engaged with the neighborhood, and interactive play (plus a few fun dance breaks!). I’m very mindful of maintaining each dog’s established routine, including feeding schedules, walk times, and any special care instructions, to help them feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. With a fenced-in yard and a friendly resident pup, dogs in my care get both companionship and a safe space to play. About: Hi there! My name is Kate and my husband's name is Josh. We have both been pet owners our entire lives and absolutely love caring for other pets as well as our own 3 (G + Sadie + Toby — Chihuahua Mix + Rat Terrier + Jack Russel Terrier). We own a home in Jacksonville just off 295 on the west side with a large fenced-in backyard and quiet neighborhood. So lots of walking, running around and play time if you were to have your pet stay here with us and our 3 pups! Our babies are typically social but at the very least tolerant of other dogs as long as the dog is not too hyper or trying to mess with them. My husband and I both work from home so your baby(s) will get non stop attention. We only board small to medium size dogs (less than 30 pounds, some exceptions - feel free to ask). Your dog(s) must get along with other dogs or at least tolerate them. All dogs are separated at feeding times. We are used to serving regular dry, wet, mixtures, raw foods, and administering medications including injectables. With our flexible schedule, we will have plenty of time to walk, play and/or love your pet(s). Our home is extremely safe and doors are always locked (even when we are home). Our neighbors are all extremely nice. Our dogs typically lay on the couch, in their dog beds in our office or on our bed. All get lots of love, pets and treats every day 🙂
About: I have had dogs my whole life. In the past 15 years, I have also had cats, fish, birds, and bunnies. I have worked at a couple local rescues with dogs and cats. I am comfortable taking care of animals with health and behavior issues. I have even worked with wolves! I have an open availability at the moment. I have reliable transportation and am looking for a way to make money while spending time with animals. While I am unable to bring any animals to my house (we already have a zoo of 1 dog and 2 cats), I am able to come to your home and treat your pets/home with the utmost care. I previously worked in the floor cleaning business so I am trained in the best way to handle animal messes/accidents. I love all animals and have worked with many animal personalities while employed at the rescues. From babies to seniors, healthy to sick, shy to overwhelming, I am confident that your pet will be safe in my care.
About: I've been taking care of pets ever since I was physically able to. From cats to dogs and all sorts of other pets. I've pet sit other people's dogs and cats before and done plenty of walking and house visits. I'm currently not working and going to school but with winter break I have plenty of free time to take care of any pet any time. I have a tall wooden fenced yard with plenty of bowls and toy. Multiple spare crates for pups of all sizes and plenty of cleaning supplies for any mess they might make.
