I am accepting up to two sibling dogs/cats for boarding in my home. I prefer crate-trained dogs as they feel more secure in their crates and it's less traumatic for them to be left at a stranger's house. I am flexible on this depending on the age of your dogs. Most of the time, they are free. I am finding that most dogs just follow me around since I am actively working on the house. The house is fairly new to me so there are many projects to be done!

As I grew up in a household loving my dogs, cats, and birds I envisioned working in Africa with chimpanzees. While my vision didn't manifest exactly the way I had fathomed, I still ended up working with baboons in Africa (2017). Along the way, I was an outdoor educator for several years working with all sorts of reptiles, amphibians, birds, mammals, and invertebrates. I have been attracted to all types of animals since the day I was born. As a science teacher (8 years), I kept corals and saved many animals in the outdoor environment near our school (from squirrels to birds and much more). My husband and I have just moved from Chicago, IL to Florida. We have a love for adventure and curiosity for the great outdoors. We are happily married with our Cockatiel (Sunny) and Umbrella Cockatoo (Jack). I can't wait to meet you and love your pets for eternity! Along with my elementary education degree, I studied zoology. I also provide regular updates with photos and check in if anything seems off so we can decide what’s best together. **I do not have pets of my own, but my roommates have pets in the other part of the home. About: I’ve cared for dogs of all different breeds for over 20 years starting with family, friends and neighborhood dogs when I was around 10. I’ve personally owned Pitbulls, Great Danes,Rottweilers, Schnauzers and Malteses. I currently have 2 cats so I am even comfortable with them! But at the end of the day I’m comfortable with all animals. Feeding, walking, bathing and just everyday care is not a problem for me! I currently work full-time but I am off work at 3 pm everyday so my whole afternoon is available. My off days are Sunday and Tuesday which I am completely available for. I know it’s hot here in southwest Florida and your pets care and safety in this hot sun is the most important for me! I know how hard it can be on their paws and how quickly some breeds can overheat.

About: I've taken care of bunnies, parrots, chickens, dogs, cats, and turtles. I will always make sure that your pet is well cared for and loved. I’m currently not working so I’ll have plenty of free time to watch your pets, play with them, walk them, and feed them. They will be well cared for. I have a small part of my yard fenced but there’s plenty of space for your pets to run around. I have a 4 chickens that roam around but I will lock them up if needed and I have a small senior dog.
