Between the long drive here from Chicago and the different settings on the way our somewhat clingy dog was even more clingy and nervous than usual. She was at our side constantly, but we needed to find a sitter for a few hours/days to allow us to golf, fish, etc. without the dog at our side. Tho we were nervous about leaving Bella with a stranger in a new place, it all worked out beautifully. Jody's house was well set up for pets and her own dogs were very friendly. I’ve had multiple pets at once and have cared for them through different stages of life, from a special needs puppy to my now partly blind Corgi who requires frequent eye drops and extra attention, to a senior cat who needed diapers, mobility support, and extra support at his 25 years old!
