“Warm and caring sitter; bright, welcoming, dog-friendly home with a neat fenced in yard in a quiet neighborhood. After the initial pet care plan for my St. Augustine vacation fell through, I found I needed to board my dogs for the very first time, very anxiety-provoking for both me and them. The initial kennel situation I found did not work for their sensitive cuddly little souls and I was scrambling to find a better option. I was incredibly lucky to find Leanna on Rover. She responded very promptly to my booking request and assured me she would give my little guys the attention, freedom, comfort and cuddles they craved. Right upon arriving, I could tell my dogs felt comfortable with Leanna and comfortable in her home. From the way she welcomed them and the patience and friendliness she showed as they got settled and acquainted with her dogs, I could tell that she was both very experienced and a true dog lover. Leanna kept me updated on how my guys were doing, with photos which I so appreciated. I could see that they were behaving like their typical selves, finding the same types of comfy spots they love at home, socializing with her dogs and curling up cozy with her. When I picked them up, they weren’t even in a hurry to leave and one of them who is typically quite anxious and slow to warm actually whimpered looking toward her house as if he didn’t want to leave! It’s almost like they had a vacation of their own in Leanna’s lovely home with her and her dogs. Amazingly, I actually got back dogs who were calmer and more confident than the ones I left! I am beyond grateful for Leanna’s loving care of my dogs for the week they were with her. I feel that she really treated them like her own. As a result, I was able to actually relax on vacation and not worry about them at all. If I ever come to St. Augustine with my dogs again I will be sure to contact Leanna. I cannot recommend her highly enough.”

About: I have worked at a doggy boarding and daycare facility for eight years. I have been managing for three of those eight years. I have cared for numerous breeds and dogs of all ages. I do have a soft spot for elderly dogs, but do love walking and playing with younger, energetic dogs as well. As a result of my years of experience, I am capable of giving all forms of medication, making meals (dry, canned, homemade, raw, etc), and I have worked with dogs and cats of all temperaments. I will walk your dogs wherever you feel comfortable. If they have a beloved route, I will keep them on it. During drop-ins, I will adhere to any instructions you have. At my place of work, I follow food and care instructions (that always vary) daily.

“Tracy is an exceptional caregiver. I have a 15 year old miniature pinscher that Tracy took care of for the day recently. Throughout the day, Tracy checked in with me via text, sending pics of my chilled out dog. I knew my dog was comfortable and calm when Tracy sent a pic of her begging for snacks. When I picked up my dog later that afternoon, she was relaxed and sleepy. Tracy is a consummate professional. About: Your dog will feel pampered, spoiled and loved, and will be treated like a member of our family during their stay. I have had dogs all of my life, usually two or three at a time. I know how to take care of puppies and seniors alike, and every age in between. I am a dog rescuer, and a foster mom whenever possible. I will take dogs up to 15 lbs. only. Each dog has a personality as unique and as individual as people. Their likes, dislikes and habits will be catered to as closely as possible during their stay. Let's schedule a meet and greet to decide if we are a good fit. Drop off and pick-up hours are 10 am - 6 pm. Outside of these hours will be $10, or feel free to reserve an extra day. Fee includes per night, for 24 hour period. Anything past an extra 2 hours will be billed at 1/2 day. Day care covers a 10 hour stay; every hour over is $10. Requirements: >neutered >proof of up-to-date vaccines >flea/tick prevention >friendly with other dogs >food I am home full-time. Errands would never be more than 1-2 hours. Potty breaks are 0-2 hours throughout entire day, up until late in the evening. I require a Meet & Greet with any new client to make sure they get along with my two sweet dogs. They will always be supervised when out in the fenced yard. They can stay in, play or cuddle on the couch - whatever their heart desires. Please bring your fur baby's food, favorite toys, treats, beds, a harness, and a collar with up-to-date tags, including their name!

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was 12 years old. I have cared for my own dogs and cats over the years. I have also exhibited reliable, loving and trustworthy care for neighbors and friends pets while they were away. I also attain experience in training dogs. Additionally, I also have volunteer experience at a pet shelter in specifically caring for and feeding dogs and cats within that shelter. I do not currently work, so I have a lot of free time to come over to care for and walk your pet throughout the day while you are away! In providing care in the client’s home, I try to focus on abiding to the pets day to day routines to help establish some normalcy and minimize their stress when being cared for. It’s also important to ensure their pet is secure when going outside or on their daily walks, Ias well as making sure the doors are locked and/or secure when entering and leaving the residence. I also love to take photos of the pets I care for and send the to their owner to let them know they are safe. As your pet sitter, I strive to ensure that your animal feel loved and protected when they are with me.

About: I've been around animals my whole life, and love them dearly. I watch out for them like they are my own kids. I'm trustworthy and hard-working. I've lived with cats, hamsters, horses, a Golden Retriever, a Dalmatian (with pups!), and several mixed breed and smaller dogs throughout the years; and am looking forward to calling your little BFF a friend of mine too! I am a 42 year old mother of three. My eldest daughter is 22, my son is 17, and my youngest daughter is 1 and a half. I've been doing Rover on the side for several years now, and have met all kinds of pets. I'm always glad to be able to help families out while they're away by taking care of their dear furry friends. Originally from Middle Tennessee, my family and I recently moved to St Augustine, Florida, and are still trying to get established. Love the area very much, and hope to spend the rest of our lives here. I'm currently only doing drop-in visits for dogs as I had fleas brought in a couple of times that were passed onto other dogs. I'm sorry that I can't offer that service anymore, but I don't want to go through that again. I am also glad to keep (or do drop-in visits) for cats, rodents, and birds for a lower rate...also drop-ins for livestock, with the rate depending on the job. Dinosaurs are a little extra ;o) I just had a new baby and am on a leave of absence from my job with Metro Schools. I am available most any time for drop-in visits and walks. I will follow your instructions for their feeding and/or care and take the same precautions for their safety as I would take with my own pets.

I've volunteered at the humane society for fostering, so I can take care of kittens as well if needed. I have a very open schedule since I just recently graduated. I'm available to come over and check on pets between 9am-9pm any day of the week. I have open availability for house sitting as well, but for more info please feel free to contact me! I always make sure the pets are healthy and happy whenever I see them. I can clean up any messes or accidents they may have made, and I can give medicine in their food or orally. If your pet is a little skittish at first, it's not a problem! I'll let them come to me at their own pace so they won't get scared, and I'll be sure to offer plenty of treats as well.

About: I’ve volunteered several summers in row washing kennels and food bowls playing with the kittens and post them on social media to help get them adopted. I have two dogs of my own and have taken care of multiple animals at once. I can and will gladly work any day and I will care for your furry family as if they are my own. Your furry friends are safe in my care! I take my dog for regular walks and to the groomers I brush him daily and make sure he is comfortable in his harness and leash. I am able to effectively use commands that your dog is used to. And can give tips are effective ways of to teach commands and keeping them safe and happy.

“Omg what an incredible find on Rover! Traci was an absolute joy to meet! Friendly, personable and we could tell immediately she would love our dog in our absence. Their home is a one level property with a fenced in back yard. Our labradoodle (Hotah) is not used to having a sliding glass door open that he could go in and out at free will. I know he was in heaven. Traci text me several times with updates on how he was doing along with photos. We felt so comfortable touring around St. Augustine, Florida and leaving him with her. She liked his snuggles as much as he liked hers. I am definitely recommending them as a couple to care for your pet. I will not use anyone else when I am in the area unless I absolutely could not get them. Thank you so much Traci & Alex for opening up your home and your loving arms to care for our furry friends!!”

I have a fenced yard and can also walk your dogs throughout in my neighborhood if it’s under 50 lbs (for safety reasons). I’m 75 and am home during the day to cuddle your furry babies! Most days, I’ll go out to run errands or go to the gym. I like to take a walk in the morning by myself around my neighborhood. I’m at home the rest of the day usually unless I have an appointment. I have a fenced backyard and a screened in porch. I don’t require a crate for your dog or cat as long as they are potty trained.
