About: I love animals and have been surrounded by dogs and cats my whole life. Not only do I care for my two dogs (Gilbert and Bella!) but I have a lifetime of experience taking care of dogs and cats for my friends and family. I specialize in walking dogs and have experience walking in heavily populated areas, although I prefer to take dogs to parks and surround them by nature when I can. I am perfectly comfortable working with multiple dogs, but I am equally comfortable working with a single dog and keeping others from approaching if that is what the dog needs. Walking a dog is about what the dog needs, not what the people or surrounding dogs want. Sometimes that is a busy walk or trip to the dog park for socialization, and sometimes that is a quiet solo walk. Additionally, I am always prepared with snacks, water, and poop bags on my walks. I am also comfortable doing drop-in visits for some playtime, feeding, and/or a bathroom break. I am happy to provide the care that your pet needs! I work from home, part-time, so I have a very flexible schedule! I am happy to work with your pet in the early mornings, middle of day, or in the afternoon. About: I’ve always had a dog around growing up as well have my own. I’ve also been caring for dogs for the elderly, family and friends for my whole life as well. I’m currently a stay at home mom with children in school so I have plenty of time to take your dogs on long walks as well as play endlessly with any animals at home. Despite the uncertainty around the transport timing and ultimately an early 6:00 AM drop-off, she was communicative, flexible, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. She not only took wonderful care of Journey, but also coordinated the final handoff and personally dropped her off for me, making what could have been a very stressful situation feel seamless. She sent photo updates, kept me informed every step of the way, and treated Journey like one of her own. I truly can't thank her enough. “Kristy provided a great and worry free stay for my dog Mia! I am always nervous using new Rovers, as Mia has become dog reactive, but Kristy followed my instructions and continued with positive reinforcement training so Mia can continue to make progress. As such, she had no negative reactions to other dogs on walks during her stay! Kristy also provided me with a daily photo and update each morning to check in. She lives in a lovely, quiet and walkable neighborhood and her kids were gentle and clearly very comfortable with dogs. I would absolutely recommend Kristy and will be re-booking with her again in the future!”
