I've seen 3 puppies grow into seniors, and I'm currently living in a 3 pet household: senior black lab, baby doodle, and a bossy tuxedo cat. I've learned the work of taking care of a pet since I was little, but more so in the last several years I've really taken on a lot more responsibility. I love caring for pets and learning their own unique habits and personalities. I'm currently a full-time college student and looking to use this as a way to make some money while in college. I have a car and no problem with transportation, my schedule varies but I'm almost always available to take care of any pets. In my own home, we have a big backyard as well as a fenced in patio if the pets want to sit outside. They have their own crates and food bowls as well, although sometimes they sneak into the crate together. I'm someone who follows directions to a T, and if I don't understand something I will always clarify.

I have had cats my entire life. I used to own 2 cats, 4 gerbils, 1 hamster, and 3 Guinea pigs. I also used to take care of a family dog in Westport for 3 years and during summers prior (Bichon-Poodle mix named Ricky). I now take care of 3 dogs and 7 cats. If for any reason you need to cancel last minute, I'm extremely flexible with cancellations. ***NO DROP-OFFS*** I currently have open availability and a car to travel. I make sure pet care is done throughout the day every day to sustain a healthy, happy habitat/home. I have a fenced-in yard, as well as keep a close eye on my pets when they are using the bathroom outside. During visits, I stay with the pets until they are fed and use the bathroom (as well as any other tasks the owner would like accomplished).

Some pets want lots of play and interaction, others need patience and quiet I adjust to what makes them feel safe and comfortable. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important routine and consistency are. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, walks, litter box cleaning, basic medications, and caring for both energetic pets and older ones who need a slower pace. I treat every home with respect and always aim to make both pets and owners feel at ease while they’re apart. I’m currently home most of the time, which allows me to give pets consistent attention throughout the day. My schedule is flexible for drop ins, walks, and boarding. Every other week, my 3 year old daughter is home with me, so I only accept dogs who are comfortable around young children during those weeks. I’m happy to discuss temperament beforehand to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone. Weekends are generally open and flexible. I have a securely fenced yard where dogs can safely play and get fresh air. Inside, pets have a calm home environment with supervision throughout the day. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully regarding feeding, walks, crating, and routines. Because I have a young child every other week, I’m selective about the dogs I board and only accept those who are known to be gentle and comfortable around children. Safety and a positive environment are always my priority. I treat every pet like part of the household while they’re here.
