“We have just recently moved to Ocean Pines, MD. So we have few contacts as yet. We needed a dogsitter to keep our Maltese/Yorkie mix (aka "Morkie") Finley for a month while we will be in Europe this summer. It's the longest we have been away from him, and we needed to find dogsitters we trusted. We found Bill and Margit on Rover and decided to try them for an overnight with our dog. It went exceedingly well. They sent photos of Finley relaxing on the sofa and bed, and getting along great with them and their other dogs. When we picked him up the next day, he was happy to see us but appeared calm and carefree. We knew we had found our dogsitters. “Marvina was absolutely amazing and so accommodating! This was the longest I had left my rescue pup. (1 week) I was nervous for sure, however! That quickly went away as soon as I met her and saw the beautiful “summer camp for dogs ” that is her home! Her property is huge for the pups to run around and play. I had some last minute changes including being later on pick up time due to traffic. I got up to date pictures and reassurance that he was having a great time. I highly recommend treating your pup to this sanctuary! I will absolutely be using her services again and possibly work out a joint custody arrangement! 😂 My pup seems depressed now that he’s back home. Thank you again!!!”

About: I’ve taken care of my baby- Foxey for all 12 of her years. I also regularly take care of a large dog, a cat and a puppy weekly. I have experience with both big and small dogs, although mostly ones on the smaller side and am no stranger to administering medication. I also once housed a leopard gecko, so I’m open to other animals as well! I work in the early mornings, no longer than 5 hours typically. We came to Ocean City on vacation and quickly realized that Nella was a little stressed with all the people around and we didn’t feel right leaving her alone when we went out. We soon found Jill who put our minds at ease and responded to our request almost instantly. She has been extremely accommodating with our schedule and had truly saved our vacation. We were able to enjoy ourselves knowing Nella was not only having a blast but was in great hands. We were sent photos and videos of Nella through out the day which really makes a difference. I don't mind big playful pups but I can also appreciate the gentle lap dog even if he/she is 60 pounds(every dog is a lap dog) I'm just looking to make some extra money doing something I love. I love running around the yard, taking long walks and even just sitting around and giving dogs a good pet. About: I have been pet sitting friends and neighbours animals for years. I grew up helping out in SPCAs and different animal clinics. I also worked in a boarding kennel for three and a half years. I know having to leave your babies at home can be rough but they will be in good hands with me! I am a recent transplant to the area from Chicago where I was active in volunteering with several dog rescues! I work from home 2 days a week and have a very flexible schedule, I would love to come hang out with your babies while you're away! My office is only 4 miles from my house so I can step away as needed. I have experience with reactive dogs and understand they need some special attention. I am very attentive anytime a pet is out of the home and put safety first! I take my phone for safety but never use it while walking to ensure they have my undivided attention. It's hard being away from them and I hope to put your worries to rest!

“Marvina was absolutely amazing and so accommodating! This was the longest I had left my rescue pup. (1 week) I was nervous for sure, however! That quickly went away as soon as I met her and saw the beautiful “summer camp for dogs ” that is her home! Her property is huge for the pups to run around and play. I had some last minute changes including being later on pick up time due to traffic. I got up to date pictures and reassurance that he was having a great time. I highly recommend treating your pup to this sanctuary! I will absolutely be using her services again and possibly work out a joint custody arrangement! 😂 My pup seems depressed now that he’s back home. Thank you again!!!”
