About: I’ve taken care of my baby- Foxey for all 12 of her years. I also regularly take care of a large dog, a cat and a puppy weekly. I have experience with both big and small dogs, although mostly ones on the smaller side and am no stranger to administering medication. I also once housed a leopard gecko, so I’m open to other animals as well! I work in the early mornings, no longer than 5 hours typically. I have classes some days of the week but I’m generally pretty flexible. I’ve been successful in balancing taking care of pets and my own schedule. I do need Monday nights off as I’m a nanny those nights, but other than that I’m pretty free. I love to pet and snuggle them if they are bed bugs, and I’m also cool to just chill and walk them if they are more of a reserved dog. When I volunteered at BARCS, I walked dogs that were mostly pit bulls, rotties and mixed breeds (usually pit bull mixes). My experience administering medication I have experience with routine items like giving heart worm pills and flea & tick spray/lotion, as well as some experience with ear infection medication. I am not opposed to administering medication it if the owner is willing to provide training and if the dog is comfortable with me. I work full time. I’m available on a part time basis in the evenings during the week and on the weekends. If I’m off from work, I’m happy to help as well. I treat other peoples dogs like family. I don’t offer dog boarding in my home because my work schedule doesn’t permit it. But, if I’m house sitting at another persons home, I’ll make sure I’m following the instructions/routine from the pet owner, give the dog/s plenty of TLC, playtime and food. About: I have had dogs since I was a kid. I enjoy there company and since retired now I could not ask for a better thing to do every day. The unconditional love for pets is the best medicine in life. I walk everyday about 5 miles so walking your pet is a added plus. I so enjoy the companionship. I babysit my Friends dogs frequently and dog walk another friends daily while she is at work. About: I have three dogs at home! Lucy, Scotch and Sage! I’ve had dogs in my life since I was 8 (and I am now almost 24)! Well I’ve been around dogs since I was born because my grandparents love dogs too but I was 8 years old when my mom bought our first dog. Then after that they just kept coming haha! About: FYI--Recently retired from the Federal Government. I did a Katrina mission to offer counseling to those who lost their homes. However, I was asked to volunteer in a pet shelter because the pets were abandoned due to the crisis at hand. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I figured I could do it, if I didn't look the pets straight in the eye (to prevent the heartbreak and the tears from flowing). Well, one little doggie who was in the corner of her pen shaking and shivering, grabbed ahold of my ankle as I was walking out of her pen (after cleaning it and feeding and watering her) and she wouldn't let go. She dragged her little butt along the concrete flooring as I tried to close the gate. I broke down into tears immediately and said "okay, I'll take you home with me and the cat in the pen next to you". Yes, I rescued them both... Or should I say they rescued me..from Empty Nest Syndrome. They have brought so much love into my life! My Mississippi Mud Pie (Boston Terrier) has now gone to Doggie Heaven and I want to provide love to other's pets in honor of her memory. My schedule has recently opened up more since retiring from the Federal Government, and I have a lot of time to devote to other's pets and animal care. When a dog is in my care, I provide very frequent walks and cater to your pet throughout the entire time they are with me. I like keeping animals happy and content. “Nacho is a very selective Chihuahua who immediately adored Nicole. He exhibited none of the signs of anxiety he generally does when he meets someone new (or even someone he has met several times). He accepted Nicole as one of his special people and behaved as well (if not better!) for her than he does at home. Nicole sent us photos of Nacho napping, taking walks and looking completely adorable while he was in her care; we could see how content he was and were able to have peace of mind while we were traveling. Nacho will definitely be staying with Nicole the next time we need a dog sitter.”
“Amy is amazing. She is kind and flexible and has done amazing job caring for Kalooki. We don’t have to feel guilty about leaving her behind because she is always excited to visit and has a great time either Amy’s family and the other pets to have fun with. Amy sends great photos and videos along the way that give us insights into her daily activities and friendships. She always comes home from her “vacations” exhausted in a good way, which is the best outcome of vacations for her humans too. Highly recommend!”

About: I've taken care of a wide variety of animals my whole life. While I love all types of pets, dogs are my favorite. I have lots of experience. One of my dogs was a therapy dog within the public school system as part of a literacy program for elementary children. I have a nice fenced in backyard and live close to two pet friendly parks. My schedule is very flexible. There is always someone at home 24/7 so your furry friend will never be lonely. I can board, sit, or walk almost anytime.
