About: I had a dog for 12 years. We went on multiple long walks per day. He was active, but also loved to lounge around. I am the same way. If the dog is energetic, I will definitely being playing with them in the yard. If they like to chill out, they can relax on the couch. I am currently working from home. After a quick introduction to exchange all relevant information, she helped us make a quick exit while distracting the pups. She was flexible with times so we could take a day of our camping trip to spend a day at the beach. We received a few pictures and had no concerns during our day apart. After letting her know when to expect us back, she prepared our pups to be ready and they were waiting on the porch for us so we could quickly pick them up and get back to camp. Since my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was from a puppy mill, she had numerous health problems, resulting in paralysis later in life. But, she was able to adapt to a doggie quad cart and absolutely loved going for long walks in a stroller. While she required a great deal of hands-on care for many years, she lived a pain-free, long and happy life. My dog, Pepper, is a playful, energetic, loving black lab mix, who was taught that the little dogs are always the boss! She loves nothing more than to be around other dogs. My Beardie, Otis, loved baths, and he enjoyed spending time looking out the window, watching all of the activity, and being outside in the sunshine in the summertime. Devastatingly, he passed away, but I kept his vivarium and lamps with the hopes that I will be able to pet sit other beardies. I am experienced giving medications, and I have had training in working with dogs. Animals make my heart happy! I find that it is much less stressful on your baby if he/she can come and visit at least twice prior to being left here for the first time. Preferably, if one of those visits is one day of daycare. I pet sit when I can be available full time, so your pup will be taken care of by me personally at all times, not left alone, not left outside or in a kennel or in a basement, and not left in a child’s or teen’s care while I work. House sitting and boarding rates cover a 24 hour period of time, so you are not charged additional daytime pet sitting rates. I will shower your baby with attention and provide endless opportunities for play. Depending upon the weather and your pup’s normal activity level, we will walk for 1 to 3 miles twice per day plus go out for potty breaks every 2-3 hours, or we will take lots of short walks. I always use a leash when outdoors. It is very important for me to know if your dog has any triggers or becomes aggressive in certain situations, so that I can avoid those things. I will always have your baby's best interest at heart. This is not a kennel, nor is it a kennel-like set up. Rain or shine, or sleet or snow, I take the dogs for walks. Therefore, it is very important that your dog is leash trained and friendly. If your dog requires leash, potty, and/or behavioral training to stop marking, there will be an additional $10 per day charge for each day that it happens. I will do my best to get your dog leash trained well enough so that I am not yanked down the stairs and dragged down the street, but the training duration depends upon the dog. The same goes for pottying and marking. I will do my best, but please, for the sake of your dog, practice these things regularly throughout their lives.
