About: I don't just watch dogs—I welcome them into my family. Every pup receives personalized attention, a safe environment, and lots of love while you're away. I work for the school system, so I have weekends, holidays, and summers off. My typical work hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and my school is very close to home, which allows me to come home during my lunch breaks. I make it a priority not to leave the pups home alone for more than four hours at a time, so they get plenty of attention and care throughout the day. In addition, I keep 2 small dogs at a time but for the bigger ones I only will sit 1 dog for safety reasons 😊. Your dog will be welcomed into my home like family. My ultimate goal is to give your dog a home away from home when they’re in my care. Your baby will be well taken care of. And I was encouraged to always look out for animals and even saved a pregnant cat and raised a litter of kittens when I was 10 (I will share that story when we have the pleasure of meeting). With the animal lover trait being instilled in me, I take the utmost pride in being selected to look after yours. I currently have 1 dog (german shepherd) and 1 cat! I also take care of my mom’s dog (shepherd mix). I attended Conrad Schools of Science and chose the Animal Science career pathway for 3 years. Those 3 years provided me with the basic knowledge about all barn animals and pets. This experience enabled my passion for helping animals no matter how large or small. I’ve always taken the opportunity to volunteer and give back to shelters who need support. Faithful Friends became my home for a few summers as I walked dogs and cleaned countless litter pans. I am very well-rounded and balanced as it comes to animal care. I truly hope we get a chance to meet for your upcoming pet care needs! I do work full-time right now but my schedule is a hybrid one and thankfully extremely flexible! This was a last minute booking in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, as we kept having to plan and replan how long we were going to stay away from our home in North Carolina, and with what family member. We had to extend, then shorten, and it all worked out in the end. Shanisa communicated well through the beginning of Casper's stay while they were figuring each other out, and then sent cute photos and updates throughout his stay. She took him to the dog park to run and socialize, which kept him happy. Casper was well-cared-for and relaxed when we finally came to get him and head home. “The fact that Courtney is a vet was one of the reasons I reached out to see if she was able to watch Sunny for a weekend while I was out of town due to how anxious she can get. Let me tell you, she did not disappoint. During the meet and greet, she asked about emergency vet info and offered her office as an option for urgent but non-emergency situations since I don’t have a primary emergency vet. She was aware of Sunny’s needs while she was there. Courtney also kept great communication and sent lots of videos and pics during her stay. “This was the first time my dogs stayed with a non family member so I was a littler nervous to leave them. Enrica took EXCELLENT care of my two Yorkies! She sent me updates and photos the entire time I was away which I absolutely loved. My dogs had so much fun with Enrica that the one had no interest in coming home, he just sat on her couch and looked at me. “Heather was wonderful with Sauce for his overnight stay! She was very communicative from the start and made time for a meet and greet beforehand. Her home was lovely and very pet friendly, and she asked lots of questions to make sure Sauce would be comfortable, well cared for, and a good fit in her home overnight. While we were away, she sent pictures and kept me updated on how Sauce was doing and what he was up to, which gave me great peace of mind.
