About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. I have a backyard that is fenced in, parks all around my home and we will go on lots of walks. We go on long walk in the morning and evening so your pet will get plenty of exercise and engagement with me. I currently work full time during the day with teleworking. I am free on the weekends and like to spend my time outside whenever possible. I have a fenced in backyard. I prefer to have a crate available to secure your pet if I need to run an errand - I am flexible with this request. I understand crating isn’t an option for everyone.

About: I may have never officially been a dog walker but through my own personal experience it can get done! I’ve had my own dog, Pretty for 3 years now and rain, shine, snow, and everything in between we are outside. I let her sniff to her hearts content. Our standard is 2 walks daily but we started at 4 walks when I first got her at 6 months old. She’s well taken care of and so will yours be in my care. Be it 10 minutes, 30 minutes, or an hour, if you choose me as your walker it’ll be a great time! I work FT hybrid. I’m home Mondays & Fridays. Weekends and evenings are what work best. I’m free all day on weekends and can do midday up to an hour between 1-3PM on Mondays & Fridays. I have one dog Pretty who is quite friendly. She is a bit reactive to smaller dogs. Does do better with medium to larger dogs. Pretty and I, live in a one bedroom but an area/neighborhood that is walkable which is done daily so there’s no shortage of space to get steps in!

About: I recently lost my dog whom I loved and enjoyed caring for. I will ensure your dog is cared for as if they were my own. I have experience administering medication and making dogs comfortable. I would enjoy repeat furry friends. I currently work from home. I walk my dog three times per day and I have a fenced in backyard where the dogs can enjoy the weather. I’m able to administer medication (if needed) and will ensure your dog is on a regular schedule, that you provide. Your pet will be in good hands.
About: I used to live on a farm in Jamaica taking care of the animals there and playing with the dogs we had. I have walked dogs before and can handle most big dogs. I have classes but I can try to be flexible. As long as good communication is used I will most likely be there to help. I will bring your dog around parks and make sure they are fine with the environment they are in. I mostly surround myself with people so the dog is likely to receive extra attention from them.
About: I'm new(ish) to the DMV area and one of my favorite things is how pet friendly this city is! I have been pet sitting for years and I am excited to bring my skills to Rover! About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. About: I’ve had 7 dogs over the last 24 years, two lived to be 18 and 19 yrs old. I was known for many years as the Brookland Dog Lady. This is the only time in my adult life that I have only one dog. I currently have one 2-year-old Cockapoo named Peaches. Peaches loves most dogs and people and is generally confident and submissive. She’s very good with large, young, and old dogs alike. My house is fairly quiet. Over my 24 years of experience with my own dogs and watching friends dogs, I have dealt with just about every health problem and ailment. I am experienced with puppies, seniors, providing insulin, doggie diapers, prescriptions and just about anything else you can think of. I love walking dogs through my neighborhood. I have a fully fenced backyard as well. I work primarily from home so I can provide a lot of attention and supervision. They are like children to me. I work from home so I’m never gone for more than a few hours. My daily schedule starts with breakfast for me and my dog, Peaches. I then take her out immediately to the backyard for a potty break. I get ready for my day and work from home. I walk my dog in the afternoon every day with additional yard breaks throughout the day. We often stop to play with other dog friends along the way. I can do a second walk each day if needed. I feed her again around 6pm. I let her out again in the yard before bed. They would sleep in my bedroom at night - either on the floor, in a dog bed or in bed with Peaches and me. Peaches gets along with most dogs, but she can get a little overwhelmed with large, strong, high energy puppies. If you have an med/large dog that want to wrestle rough and doesn’t know it’s own strength, Peaches may not want it to stay over. Every dog is different so we will always have a meet and greet. I do have a doggy door that Peaches can use as needed, but I do go out with her whenever she goes outside. I have a 7 ft wooden fence around my yard. I also have a gate across my front porch so that if any dog were to get out of the front door, they would not be able to get off the porch. Dogs are always leashed when outside of my yard. I have watched and cared for many dogs for my friends, family and neighbors over the years. I have also been "dogmother" (designated in the will to care for a dog if anything had happened to their human) by several friends and family.
