“Maizie's stay with Claudia represented one of the first times we've ever left her for an extended time, and it sounds like she experienced some initial separation anxiety. However, my sense is that Claudia knew well how to deal with that, and Maizie did, indeed, adjust to her surroundings rather quickly after a day or so. While we were gone, Claudia often sent us photos and updates so we'd know Maizie was doing well, and she even indicated on the day before our return that Maizie was looking forward to seeing us (which I certainly hoped would be the case, but didn't really know would be so true until I arrived to pick her up!) Bottom line is that I would heartily endorse Claudia and happily use her services again when we need to leave town for our next vacation.”

“Overall, I would rate Lindsay as a good pet-sitter. Prior to our vacation, she was very timely in responding to my messages and she also modified the Rover.com charges to a very reasonable rate for her visits with our 2 cats. It was while we were gone that I felt she fell short. My first issue was with her inconsistency in providing updates on the visits - there was a photo and thorough recap on the 1st day, but on subsequent days there was less detail and on one day there was no update at all. My second issue was with the timing of her visits. I had made it very clear that it was important to check in during the early afternoon, but at least twice she didn't visit until the evening. My third issue was with attention to detail - I had left very specific notes about the cats' food/water/litter and it didn't seem that she had followed them. Lastly, my greatest concern was with the well-being of our female cat and her being bullied by the male cat in our absence. We came back to find that she had a facial injury and had urinated in a chair out of fear. All-in-all our pets were reasonably cared for, but I was definitely disappointed. Lindsay is a very nice girl and I'm sure she had the best intentions. I think the issues may have been due to lack of experience or perhaps I wasn't clear enough on stressing the importance of certain things. (To those reading this review, please note that I have very high expectations for the care of my pets and I think Lindsay is absolutely capable of meeting the needs of a less demanding client.)”

About: I have had dogs since I was born. I have taken care of them throughout their life, from puppy to senior. I have dog sat for many family friends and family throughout my life. I went to an ag high school and was enrolled in the vet tech program. I have handled many different animals, as well as many different ages and needs. About: I’ve always had pets growing up. Over the past 20 years I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, cats, rabbits, turtles, snakes, and hamsters. I love animals more than most humans. My sister is also a vet which is super handy to have. I currently work from home so I can be present and then I have down time I can play and tend to my furry house guest. I have a room for my dogs with a very bring crate, beds and toys. When I have furry guests I can always alternate my dogs in the room or the furry guest into that room. They could also wonder around the apartment as well. My building complex also has a dog park which is nice to run around and play.

About: I’ve spent several summers caring for both cats and dogs as well as having them in my house growing up! I absolutely love giving them the attention they deserve, whether that’s playtime, walks, or cuddle time. As a 20 year old college student, I bring lots of energy, patience, and genuine love for animals. I enjoy making pets feel safe, happy, and cared for like they’re part of my own family I currently am a college student with mostly early morning classes, so I am up pretty early. I also am a soccer coach for Wilmington hammer heads which is about 2 hours Monday, Wednesday, Thursday nights. Other than that I am extremely flexible and am never busy for long periods of time! Whether I’m in my home or a client’s, safety and comfort always come first. I make sure pets have a clean, secure space, follow their normal routines, and give them plenty of attention so they feel at ease. My goal is to create an environment where pets are happy, loved, and cared for just like they would be with their family.

She took them to the dog park in the morning for a couple of hours, helped continue our invisibile fence training, and sent us so many pics and updates throughout the weekend. “Maizie's stay with Claudia represented one of the first times we've ever left her for an extended time, and it sounds like she experienced some initial separation anxiety. However, my sense is that Claudia knew well how to deal with that, and Maizie did, indeed, adjust to her surroundings rather quickly after a day or so. While we were gone, Claudia often sent us photos and updates so we'd know Maizie was doing well, and she even indicated on the day before our return that Maizie was looking forward to seeing us (which I certainly hoped would be the case, but didn't really know would be so true until I arrived to pick her up!) Bottom line is that I would heartily endorse Claudia and happily use her services again when we need to leave town for our next vacation.”

About: I’ve always had pets growing up. Over the past 20 years I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, cats, rabbits, turtles, snakes, and hamsters. I love animals more than most humans. My sister is also a vet which is super handy to have. I currently work from home so I can be present and then I have down time I can play and tend to my furry house guest. I have a room for my dogs with a very bring crate, beds and toys. When I have furry guests I can always alternate my dogs in the room or the furry guest into that room. They could also wonder around the apartment as well. My building complex also has a dog park which is nice to run around and play.

“I have never left my Eli with a family before so this was something entirely new for us. However, after having unsuccessful stays at a couple of boarding facilities over the years, I decided to try this route. I couldn't have been more pleased with the care that was afforded to Eli. Mark allowed me to bring Eli to his home prior to my actual booking so that Eli could get acquainted with the family and other pets. Once I saw the positive interaction between all of the pets, and Eli's level of comfort, I was sold. Mark even sent me a message while I was away sharing how well Eli was doing throughout his stay. Needless to say, I will definitely rebook with Mark and his family in the future. They are great!”
