About: I do love dogs but. I am a cat person. I travel for work so I haven't gotten another since my last three years ago. My best friend told me she still can't believe I haven't because "Jill" and "cats" are like "peanut butter and jelly" in her head. I got my last two cats, a brother and sister, as kittens in high school and loved them so hard for 12 and 15 years. Max had three urinary blockages and after the last, he just couldn't bounce back. And Jinx had kidney disease that progressed to failure. So I have some experience with prescription food and medications as well as giving subcutaneous fluids. Definitely wasn't my favorite but I would have done anything for my kitties and would do the same for another's.
About: Our family has had cats for years, and we have fostered many, many more. I have a deep love and understanding of cats, and know that they are commonly mislabeled as mean or aggressive. I understand cat behaviors and would not be intimidated by some hissing or growling - as long as they don't attack on sight, we'll be good!

About: I have been a volunteer for the Humane Society in a few places I lived in. My full time job also had me working with dogs on various pet friendly projects. I am very mild mannered and easy to get along with. Dogs tend to feel comfortable around me. I am also very active and can play with dogs and provide them the energy and exercise they need. I have experience with, puppies, all size, all type of dog breeds, kittens, cats, birds, sugar gliders, lizards, ferrets, etc. I have boarded animals in the past and taken extra care of them while owners are away. I am compassionate, patient, and am an animal lover at heart. I'm 44, a vintage lover and vegan. I am a dog owner myself and have had my own dog cared for during vacations. I have a 13 year old baby chihuahua (she will always be my baby). I also had a 100lb+ pup up until a couple years ago. I have grown up around cats since I was 14 as well, my partner I live with has a 3 year old cat that I care for as well. I will take care of your dog/cat like I would want mine to be taken care of.
