Valerie and her family were great from the start, not only with Daisy but also entertaining my eight year old son when we arrived for an introductory visit. They had plenty of room for Daisy to run around and two playful but well behaved dogs of their own that accepted Daisy in. Valerie provided updates during the week to let us know how Daisy was adapting and getting along with everyone and how much her family loved having her. About: The cats I’ve experienced with never fail to keep me on my toes whether it’s finding something to crinkle such as a brown bag or a small ribbon to fetch or even climbing to new heights such as a refrigerator. I’ve had experience giving pill form and liquid medication. Cat litter boxes are my specialty. Never had a cat not feel cozy and comfortable while relieving themselves.

Additionally, I always double check that water is provided, they are securely crated if needed, and leashes/collars are properly secured/removed when we head out for walks.

About: I've grown up with a variety of animals my whole life, including dogs, cats, and farm animals. Although I've only pet sit a little, I'm very comfortable with all kinds of dogs and cats. I'm currently working 2 part-time jobs as a barista, however I'm super flexible as my work schedule changes from week to week. Besides that I like to go to the gym and spend time with my chickens as much as I can. Around that I still have plenty of free time to start pet sitting. I love spending time and playing with pets, so a lot of what I would do is keep your pet company and engage with them as much as I can. With dogs I would play fetch outside if possible and with cats I would run them around with whatever toys they have. As well as, making sure the animals have enough food / water and keeping their home as clean as possible.

About: I’m a serial long-term pet sitter, and have been pet sitting through Rover for several years! Our family- myself, my partner, Will, our 9 year old son & 5 year old daughter- are huge animal fans! I’ve owned dogs, cats, fish, and lizards myself. So, long term & frequent stays are A-OK… your pet will be cared for like part of the family. I am comfortable caring for farm/hobby farm animals at your home as well. We moved to Bethel (Will & I grew up in the area) in 2024 from our home in Fairfield where we lived for almost 10 years & where I started with Rover! Our home is a single family farmhouse with a huge open yard, meadow, and ponds, abutting wooded trails and a short walk to Huntington Park. Our yard is not fenced, and although our street is relatively quiet, we always are with our visitor dogs when outside. Dogs with strong prey drive might not be a good fit for stays at our house, but could be a great fit for care in your home, walks, etc.

About: Hi! I’m Annabelle, I’m 20 years old, and I’ve been taking care of dogs all my life! I first got two dogs at six years old and since then we’ve had another 10! We’ve had a mix of labradors, pitbulls and great pyrenees! I also used to dog sit for a family with roughly 13 dogs (some were their personal dogs and some fosters so the number varied). These dogs ranged from cane corsos to chihuahuas so I’m very comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities! I also used to dog sit during that time as well for various other families. I have experience with both puppies and elder dogs as well! Overall I’m very comfortable taking care of dogs and enjoy it very much! I typically go on a lot of walks and hikes during the week because I really enjoy getting outside and moving my body. Sometimes I take my dogs on walks, but they’re all a bit lazy, so being able to walk other dogs would fit perfectly into my schedule and I would love to do so. Otherwise my schedule is very flexible. In my home I always have an eye on my babies and I’m always snuggling with them! I would take care of anyone else’s pets as I treat my own, with lots of love and care! I also like to set little reminders for when the pets need to go outside, eat, or take any medications, just as an extra precaution. I always do my best to ensure my pets as well as others are always as comfortable and happy as possible when they’re with me!

About: First time clients must schedule a meet and greet before their stay to make sure everything is a good fit. Let me know frequency of eating, potty breaks and allergies. I have had and cared for a dogs almost all my life. They ranged in all size, age and types. Valerie provided updates during the week to let us know how Daisy was adapting and getting along with everyone and how much her family loved having her. She was also extremely flexible with drop off and pick up times knowing our hectic travel schedule. The next time we go away for an extended period, Valerie is definitely my first contact attempt.”
