About: I got my first dog when I was 5 years old. Now, I have three dogs total, each with their own unique personalities. I love taking them on walks and making them homemade treats. I am used to taking care of dogs of all ages since I have raised mine from when they were puppies , to adulthood. I have also recently adopted a kitten so I’ve been gaining experience with caring for cats as well. I am currently taking an online summer class, so I have plenty of free time. About: I decided to try letting a husky pull me on roller blades 27 years ago, and a bond was created that I am convinced was the greatest thing ever. I became an aspiring writer and began researching dogs, playing with them and loving them all the same. I understood that some people just had that dog thing, but I wanted to know why. Still working on my writing, and still researching, I started roller blading around Webster lake with a rescue puppy this past year. Some dogs would rather just sniff, and it's arguably the most incredible of dog traits. I have been an educator as a substitute and a paraprofessional, and enjoyed 20 years with a number of schools and institutions. Coaching tennis, track, and rock climbing, I love giving new experiences. As director for an adventure camp or as recreation games coordinator, I was able to incorporate a team into all the fun. Relying on the service industry for work, I have developed my communication skills in many fields. 3 years working for the May Institute with adults with severe disabilities gained me a humility not found elsewhere. In the Healthcare industry I found incredible individuals who just fit their calling, and you were better for being around them. The last 2 years I have traveled the state as a licensed pest technician solving homeowner problems, and keeping people safe. I provide a calm, structured environment with consistent routines to help them settle in smoothly. I have a fully fenced-in yard for safe outdoor time and supervised play, and I always monitor pets while outside. If your dog is crate-trained or prefers a crate for rest, I can easily accommodate that to maintain their normal routine. My goal is to create a peaceful, secure space where your pet feels at ease while you’re away.
About: I’ve cared for all sorts of pets ever since I was young. Dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, farm animals..pets are family and should be cared for as such! I love being around furry friends and have experience caring for all ages. I am comfortable administering medication with dogs and cats. I currently have an open schedule as I am transitioning in careers. I do prefer a little notice so I can make sure I’m fully available. Pets are part of the family and are treated as such. About: I am athletic and have always grown up around animals. I work at a pet boarding/daycare facility that allows me to get additional experience. With that being said, I have handled several breeds including different diets. I have handled Yorkies to Mastiffs and love them all! Puppies are the show stoppers but tend to lose control at times so I am willing to work on standard obedience commands as well. I’d be more than happy to play according to the dogs ability and health. I understand how important it is that animals receive their medications and meals at a timely manner. “We couldn’t be happier with the care Matt and Patty provided for our Golden Retriever during the 10 nights we were out of the country. From the very beginning, we felt completely comfortable leaving him in their care. We were able to visit their home beforehand, and they have a wonderful setup, including a large, fully fenced backyard with plenty of room for him to play. Throughout our trip, Matt and Patty sent us frequent updates and photos, which gave us tremendous peace of mind. They took him on daily walks around the neighborhood, gave him lots of attention, and it was very clear that he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. What really stood out to us was how they handled a day when he wasn’t feeling well and developed some stomach issues. Matt immediately contacted us, proactively made an appointment with the vet, and made sure we were comfortable with him taking our dog in to be seen. Afterward, Matt and Patty followed the vet’s recommendations closely and even cooked rice and beef for his meals for several days while his stomach recovered. They truly cared for him as if he were their own. When we returned, we came home to a very happy puppy, and we could tell he had been loved and well cared for the entire time. We are so excited to have found Matt and Patty. Finding people you can completely trust with your dog while you’re away is incredibly important, and we feel very fortunate to have found such reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring sitters.
