About: I grew up with as many as 5 cats and two dogs at a time. I am familiar with caring for most pets including rodents and fish. I work from home so taking a break to walk or feed pets is not an issue. There is even some extra time to give them some attention too! My dog has free roaming permission in the backyard and we also have a cage for large dogs available. For visiting dogs we walk them on a leash since they are not familiar with the area.

About: I’ve always had pets growing up. Over the past 20 years I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, cats, rabbits, turtles, snakes, and hamsters. I love animals more than most humans. My sister is also a vet which is super handy to have. I currently work from home so I can be present and then I have down time I can play and tend to my furry house guest. I have a room for my dogs with a very bring crate, beds and toys. When I have furry guests I can always alternate my dogs in the room or the furry guest into that room. About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 8 years old and got my very first dog. I love all types of dogs, I can even handle aggressive dogs with ease! I always love to spend my free time with animals. Any availability I have is used to to go towards my pets and hopefully yours! I never let animals I don't know very well be off leash outside without my supervision, it is dangerous to me to be careless like that. I have been called over-protective when it comes to my own pets. But it is for their own protection. Unfortunately, they lack the legal rights that humans have. I am very careful when other animals are around (especially leash-less wildcards coming in hot towards myself and the dog I'm walking ) therefore, it is my choice to not allow strangers to pet any animal I am caring for. Similar to working dogs. There are too many negative examples of pets becoming unfairly removed from their homes because of some untrue accusation. An example is this: You've definitely seen dogs " smiling" to their owners. Some dogs just learn that behavior, and it is far from aggressive behaviour in their minds. Now say someone asks to pet your dog on a walk. The dog smiles, and it is misinterpreted as aggression, person is scared, maybe they act in a way that is embarrassing once they realize they aren't in danger. Maybe they create a scenario in their minds where they were bitten and then they want the " violent" dog put down. and then that is where the mess begins. Safety first!

We very much appreciated all of the pictures she sent to us of Charlotte during her stay (it looks like she rotated between everyone's laps - her favorite thing!).
