“This is only the second time I have boarded my dog, and since I’m usually home all day with her, I wanted to make sure I left her with someone who would be home all the time and able to monitor her the way I do. She sent photos and videos at least twice a day, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She really made sure my dog was comfortable throughout his stay. Since he was there over the Fourth of July, she even turned up the AC to help drown out the fireworks, which I really appreciated. I was initially a little nervous because three other dogs were staying with her at the same time, but she reassured me they were all getting along and sent videos so I could see for myself. In the end, my dog looked like he was having an amazing time! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and attentive dog sitter.”

“We have been looking for a “go-to” dog sitter since moving to the New Haven area this summer, and we’ve certainly found one in Noemi and David. We reached out on short notice, looking to board our dog for a long weekend, and they were nothing but accommodating. We were able to quickly schedule a meet and greet, visit their home, and socialize our dog with their family (and their dog, Milo). When we dropped him off there for boarding, we were as comfortable as we could be and had no hesitation in trusting Noemi and David to take care of him. We received great updates/videos over the weekend, and communication was consistently clear and prompt. Our dog seems to have settled right in and came home happily exhausted from plenty of play time this weekend. I can’t recommend Noemi and David enough. We won’t be looking to board our pup with anyone else as long as they’re available!”

About: There are multiple reasons why I would be the perfect person to take care of your pet! I worked at Guiding eyes for the Blind where I helped train and care for labs and German shepherds. I have worked at a dog kennel and a veterinary center where I provide top care to the client's pets. I aid dogs ranging from puppies to seniors, healthy to unwell, teacup to gigantic. I have also dog sat for multiple friends for days on end. I currently have a 14 year old lab mix that I have taken care of since I was a teenager. I also have a 2 year old lab pup with tons of energy. I prefer to hike my dogs in the woods and let them explore and chase the squirrels. We play fetch and tug of war. I could do the same with your dog! With this experience, I know that dogs need lots of care and love with some fun and snuggles! I am currently going to school to be an ultrasound technician and would love some extra work on the side. My schedule changes with each semester but the best type of study breaks are outside and playing with fur babies. I will follow your instructions closely on how to properly care for your pet. “Overall, I would rate Lindsay as a good pet-sitter. Prior to our vacation, she was very timely in responding to my messages and she also modified the Rover.com charges to a very reasonable rate for her visits with our 2 cats. It was while we were gone that I felt she fell short. My first issue was with her inconsistency in providing updates on the visits - there was a photo and thorough recap on the 1st day, but on subsequent days there was less detail and on one day there was no update at all. My second issue was with the timing of her visits. I had made it very clear that it was important to check in during the early afternoon, but at least twice she didn't visit until the evening. My third issue was with attention to detail - I had left very specific notes about the cats' food/water/litter and it didn't seem that she had followed them. Lastly, my greatest concern was with the well-being of our female cat and her being bullied by the male cat in our absence. We came back to find that she had a facial injury and had urinated in a chair out of fear. All-in-all our pets were reasonably cared for, but I was definitely disappointed. Lindsay is a very nice girl and I'm sure she had the best intentions. I think the issues may have been due to lack of experience or perhaps I wasn't clear enough on stressing the importance of certain things. (To those reading this review, please note that I have very high expectations for the care of my pets and I think Lindsay is absolutely capable of meeting the needs of a less demanding client.)”

About: I have had dogs since I was born. I have taken care of them throughout their life, from puppy to senior. I have dog sat for many family friends and family throughout my life. I went to an ag high school and was enrolled in the vet tech program. I have handled many different animals, as well as many different ages and needs. About: I’ve always had pets growing up. Over the past 20 years I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, cats, rabbits, turtles, snakes, and hamsters. I love animals more than most humans. My sister is also a vet which is super handy to have. I currently work from home so I can be present and then I have down time I can play and tend to my furry house guest. I have a room for my dogs with a very bring crate, beds and toys. When I have furry guests I can always alternate my dogs in the room or the furry guest into that room. They could also wonder around the apartment as well. My building complex also has a dog park which is nice to run around and play.

About: I have had cats since I was a baby and had chow chow dogs since I was 13 years old. I also worked at a kennel off and on for 12.5 years. I learned a little training but not a lot. I have worked with all different breeds of dogs. I love snuggling with cats as I grew up with having them in my household. I currently work full time however, full time is 30 hours for me so it allows me to have 3 to 4 days off towards the end of the week depending on the week. We have a large back yard with a dog run and as far as my cat. He is an indoor cat and gets spoiled indoors.

I'm currently a part-time fitness trainer/nutritionist, sculptor & writer, so I have lots of time to care for your pets. My schedule is flexible. Avail. weekdays, weekends, and holidays. While I'm caring for your pet in your home, I am attentive to their needs. I'm especially compassionate with fearful animals. Always loving & gentle.
About: I am a mom to three human children, three dogs, and three horses. When my kids were younger, my "me time" was spent volunteering for various rescues and shelters. I love taking care of animals and found so much satisfaction helping out those poor little creatures who had no home to call their own! I loved it so much that I decided to start my own 501c3 nonprofit animal rescue! I figured that in doing so, I could help on a way bigger scale! Additionally, I could put more efforts in to helping people through the love of animals in need! Making the adoption process easy and fun, and making sure the humans and the pets are a wonderful match have made my rescue quite successful! Over the past 11 years I have rescued thousands of dogs, hundreds of cats, and three horses from shelters and other high risk situations! Throughout my years of taking care of pets, I have care for basically every age, breed, size, and temperament! I have also provided care on just about every level...from administering meds, IV treatments, vaccines, basic grooming, and basic training/behavior modifications. I joined Rover because I want to continue helping animals and support pet owners who need someone they can truly trust. I understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, comfortable, and cared for like family while you’re away. Being able to provide that peace of mind is something I take seriously. Every pet has unique needs, routines, and personalities. My goal is to provide consistent, attentive care while maintaining the structure and comfort your pet is used to. I also prioritize clear communication so you always feel confident and informed while your pet is in my care. My schedule has a lot of flexibility, and I am a full-time caregiver for these sweet babies! I will always do my best to be available for you and your furry family members! Pets in my home have my full supervision, and when I am unable to have my eye on them, they are either crated or in their own safe space! Our yard is fully fenced!
About: I’ve had dogs as pets my whole life and I currently have three. My responsibility’s with my dogs are to take them out and on walks, feed them, give them water, play with them, and give them lots of love! I’m looking for a job opportunity to help me pay college expenses and to get work experience. I just graduated high school so I have a lot more free time. A few days during the week I go over to my dads to take the dogs out in the afternoons, to give them water, and to let them out and to play as well. I’m available for walks and for drop in visits starting in the late morning and also afternoons. I can stay for as long as you need me to stay so that your dog has enough time to play and be properly cared for. In my home, I provide and encourage dog safe toys and put away things that could cause harm or get damaged. I provide time for play and also rest. I also provide fresh water and to take them out when needed. If your dog goes in a crate then I am more than capable of handling that as I have done that with my dogs in the past and currently.
About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was a kid, my first dog was a boxer, second was a miniature schnauzer, and current dog is a cocker spaniel poodle mix. I care deeply about all animals, I’m an environmentalist pet lover. Currently working part time at T-Mobile, my schedule is very flexible so that leaves me with plenty of time to love and care for pets. Strict walking, playing, and feeding schedule. At least thirty minutes of exercise a day, providing lots and lots of love and affection towards my pets every day.

“Our boxer, Daisy, stayed with Valerie while we vacationed for a week in Florida. Valerie and her family were great from the start, not only with Daisy but also entertaining my eight year old son when we arrived for an introductory visit. They had plenty of room for Daisy to run around and two playful but well behaved dogs of their own that accepted Daisy in. Valerie provided updates during the week to let us know how Daisy was adapting and getting along with everyone and how much her family loved having her. She was also extremely flexible with drop off and pick up times knowing our hectic travel schedule. The next time we go away for an extended period, Valerie is definitely my first contact attempt.”
