“We felt very comfortable leaving our Sheltie Winston with Brittney (and family!) and the daily updates and pics were great so we never worried while away. Definitely will use her service again!”

“From the very first moment we met Nadjeska, we knew she was the perfect person to care for our beloved dog, Forest. Leaving your dog with someone else can be stressful, but Nadjeska immediately put us at ease with her warmth, professionalism, and genuine love for dogs. Forest spent 11 wonderful days with Nadjeska and her family, and the level of care and affection he received was truly exceptional—far beyond what we could have hoped for anywhere else. Nadjeska treated Forest as if he were her own, ensuring he felt safe, loved, and happy every single day. What impressed us most was her commitment to keeping us connected. We received regular updates and daily photos that captured Forest’s joyful moments and his amazing interactions with her family and dogs. These thoughtful touches gave us complete peace of mind and showed just how dedicated Nadjeska is to her work. If you’re looking for someone who is not only highly qualified but also deeply passionate about caring for dogs, Nadjeska is the one. We recommend her with the highest confidence and gratitude—she is simply outstanding. Sincerely, David and Ana”

About: I've been caring for pets since I was 20 years old. Friends, family members, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, and provide overnight care for their beloved pets. Growing up, I had a poodle and gained experience caring for a variety of other animals, including fish, turtles, hamsters, gerbils, chinchillas, and rabbits. This lifelong experience has taught me how to understand and respond to the unique needs and personalities of different animals. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every animal in my care with the same attention, patience, affection, and respect that I would give my own. I pride myself on being dependable, attentive, and responsive, and I'll make sure your pet receives excellent care while keeping you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. Right now I am available anytime and on the weekends. In September I will be available on Monday Tuesday morning before 10 and after one; Wednesdays all day; Thursday in the morning before 10 and after one; and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday all day. I will play with them in your home. Make sure they’re comfortable and happy just as if they were my own. I will also take them on walks and cuddle with them.
About: I've been taking care of pets since I was a kid, having grown up with two dogs and being part of their care from puppyhood through old age. I've looked after both dogs and cats for neighbors and families to whom I've provided childcare, and for the past year, I’ve regularly walked dogs housed at a county animal shelter. This has been such a rewarding activity and has increased my comfort in interacting with animals with a variety of temperaments. I'm an active person, so I’d love to get outdoors and moving as long as your pup is up for it! If necessary, I can bathe your pet and administer oral medications; if instructed may also be comfortable with injectables. I’m so excited to meet a new furry friend! I’m beginning medical school in the fall and am looking to establish some house/pet sitting relationships while my schedule is super flexible this summer! I love taking long walks and would love company from your pup, but I’m also happy to stop by and hang out with your pet in your home if that’s preferred. I’m available to stay overnight in your home if you’re traveling and need longer term help, too. I will be pet sitting in your home and want to fit into your pet's daily life as seamlessly as possible, so I'm happy to do whatever makes them happy! I'm an active person so whether your pet is high or low energy, I can cater to their needs.

About: Past cat owners. Experience in administering meds and some medical care. Responsible and dependable. Let us know what your cat needs to be happy and healthy.
About: I will take care of your best friend with the same love I show my sweet Labrador’s. I will show patience and love with each of your dogs walks and make sure that they get all their business done, plenty of exercise and time for sniffing all the things as well. If I sit over night you will have to specify not to let them on the bed bc I will want to snuggle and make them feel at ease while you are gone. I will send pictures of your pet playing, relaxing and keep you up to date on if he/she used the bathroom and make you feel comfortable while away from your pet because I know it’s not always easy. I will be your best friends, friend.
About: Hi I’m Colleen! I have worked in childcare for 10 years now. In my free time when I’m not with children, I enjoy spending time looking after and having fun with dogs of my friends and family. I love to keep active and I cannot wait to have a dog of my own! I have experience looking after puppies, staying overnights with dogs (for extended periods of time), dog walking, and drop in visits for dogs and cats. I have just moved back to New England after living in North Carolina for 2 years. At the moment, I work part time. So I am looking to fulfill the extra time in my schedule. For your pets safety, I will have them on a leash at all times when going out for walks, and I will always make sure they are hydrated and fed on time according to schedule. When it comes to dog walking, I am very cautious around pets I do not know. My number one priority is to make sure your pet is in good hands as if it it was my own.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for the last ten years. I had Libra and Shadow who were both pit Bulls. I now help my partners take care of their dogs Noel and Benji. I live in a very safe area in Madison. We have all the necessary tools to create a safe and loving environment for your fur babies.

“Rachel went above and beyond when caring for my dogs over the course of two days. She gave thorough updates and lots of pictures and videos. Our pups looked happy as can be while she was visiting! When we came back home, it was like we’d never left. Both dogs were super happy and content. Rachel’s prompt responses, care, and attention meant the world to us.”

About: I have extensive experience caring for cats of all personalities and medical needs, including shy, anxious, senior, and special-needs cats. My own two cats have multiple chronic health conditions, giving me firsthand experience with daily medications, close monitoring, behavior changes, and the importance of consistent, compassionate care. Through my veterinary background, I am comfortable recognizing signs of illness early and helping cats feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free in their own environment. I am also a Fear Free Certified professional.

“I had never hired someone to watch my cat before. My newest cat was a rescue and took a long time for her to socialize with humans. I was worried leaving her for 2 days without companionship. We were going to a wedding with all my family and friends. Katherine stepped in and spent time with my cat. Katherine was great communicator, sent texts when she was going to be there and I appreciated the pictures showing the cat eating and playing. Definitely would do this again. So easy and gave me peace of mind. Thanks Katherine!”

“This was my first time using Rover.com. I had picked up my German shepherd, Evie, from a shelter in North Carolina last November. Based on her recorded condition when brought in as a stray 5 weeks before she had been through a rough period. She has fully recovered now and is in good health. My wife and I wanted to find someone to board her with where she would be happy when we're away. We identified a few possibilities at the Rover website and following a positive meet and greet with Nadjeska last week, had Evie spend the day with her yesterday. It went very well. Nadjeska sent us several texts with photos during the day updating us on Evie's stay. We were looking for a home where Evie could spend time with and play with other dogs and Evie made a new friend, Sparkles, Najeska's little dog. Nadjeska has a fenced yard which provides a safe place for them to run around in the fresh air. Evie seemed to enjoy the day, Nadjeska obviously loves dogs, and we will be repeat clients in the near future.”

“Sarah and Steve took such great care of our puppy! We are so happy that she was in such good hands while we were at work. Sarah is super friendly and nice to work with. She sent updates, photos, and videos, which put us at ease throughout the day. Our pup was excited to see Sarah, and came home very tired at the end of the day. About: I’m a homeowner, wife, mother and pet lover. I’ve been caring for pets since I was a kid, and I know how special they are to us. I love to go for walks, throw a ball, play tug of war, and give love and affection. I am comfortable with dogs of all ages, sizes, and of all different demeanors. I’ve taken private training sessions, courses in puppy training, intermediate training, and adult obedience training. I’ve dealt with dogs who get anxious, and puppies that want to chew everything in the house. I’m comfortable with crate trained dogs, and those who want to sleep next to me in bed. I’m accustom to giving regular baths, and grooming. I thank you, for taking the time to read my bio, and hope you consider reaching out with any questions. I have one very sweet 2 year old schnoodle, who works with me to take care of children, whom have special needs, in our home two days a week. I also have two grown children who love to spend time with the dogs, when they are home to visit. We all love dogs, and we all contribute in caring for them. Throwing a ball, belly rubs, walks around the neighborhood and lots of love.
“Truc watched our Russell terrier Ozzie for the day when we were in the area on vacation. Ozzie left happy and tired, and had a great time with her lab Calvin. Truc was very responsive and easy to communicate with, took special care to ensure Ozzie adjusted well, and even took him on a special adventure in town. Would highly recommend. Thank you Truc!”

“Mary-Ellen took care of our blind Shih Tzu, "Peanut" for the day in her home this past weekend and was just AMAZING with her! She was so interested to find out all the little details ahead of time to ensure that they had a fun and comfortable day. Because of Peanut's special needs, my boyfriend and I are very nervous about leaving her with sitters, but after meeting Mary-Ellen, we felt sure that she would be in the best of hands. Mary-Ellen sent updates throughout the day along with several photos so I could see what fun they were having. Mary Ellen's home is adorable and sparkling clean, and as an added bonus, her daughter and Peanut really hit it off and had a wonderful time together. We would highly recommend Mary Ellen to others and will definitely book her again in the future.”

About: Animals are a man’s best friend and I strongly believe in this proverb. Fostering dogs has been one of the most rewarding experiences that may not pay in cash but the endless amount of love and the fulfilling feeling that leaves a mark on your heart making a dog feel loved and safe is priceless. I strongly encourage anyone who is interested in adopting a dog or becoming a dog owner to foster. I have helped nurtured dogs with behavior issues, training, and socializing, and I have also pet sat for creatures of all sizes from fish to horse. “I met a gentleman in Renana's driveway who was picking up his dog. He said Renana's was the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH and he is not exagerating. Sadie loves Renana and her pack. Sadie has her favorite doggie friends, but all the dogs are great. Sadie is well cared for and comes home with a good tired. She always gets excited when we say, "Want to go to Renana's".”

I work from home so I spend a lot of time caring for my pet which includes 3 mealtimes, plus play/enrichment time, and relaxing downtime each day. I have given medication to multiple animals and I am large animal rescued certified. I care for many of our special needs pets with ease because my kindness, patience and attention creates a bond that has pets loving me immediately. I am caring and compassionate to all of the pets in my care.
About: I love taking care of animals and providing them with love and comfort. I can walk animals, stay overnight with them, or even just stop in to feed and play with them. I think Rover is a great site because I loved having a dog sitter for my dog. She really enjoyed being able to get out of the house when my family and I was gone during the day. I think animals are like children and they deserve great care too. I love to hike, cuddle, run, walk, and just relax! I am very open and flexible. I can work around many schedules and I do not mind staying at other peoples homes if it keeps the pup the most comfortable. I have been caring for dogs and children for many years! I have flexibility and make my own schedule during the week! I also work and drive throughout most of CT and can be available. I’m always in the area. I am calm yet trained when it comes to how to handle dogs in different situations. I take the responsibility seriously and listen to all of the owners requests.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for the last ten years. I had Libra and Shadow who were both pit Bulls. I now help my partners take care of their dogs Noel and Benji. I work Tuesday thru Friday so I’m mostly available during the weekends as well as Monday, but I’m more than able to work something out depending on the emergency. I live in a very safe area in Madison. We have all the necessary tools to create a safe and loving environment for your fur babies.
About: Hi, I’m Mary-Ellen. With over 25 years of combined personal and professional experience, I provide thoughtful, individualized care for dogs of all ages, temperaments, and needs. I live in Madison, CT with my teenage daughter (part-time) and my dog Hunter—a sweet, well-socialized red golden retriever who’s used to sharing space with other pups. Dogs in my care become part of our daily rhythm. We take walks through downtown Madison, go for car rides, and run local errands—if that’s something your dog enjoys. I treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they’re safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. I’m especially experienced with: • Senior dogs and their mobility or comfort needs • Dogs with social or separation anxiety • Special diets due to allergies or sensitivities • Administering medications (oral and injections) • Creating routines that mirror your home to ease transitions I work from home, so your dog won’t be left alone. Whether they’re active or more low-key, I adjust to their pace and preferences. Some dogs need extra attention, others just want quiet companionship—and I’m equally happy to provide both. Thanks for considering me as part of your pet’s extended family. I’d love to learn more about your dog and how I can help provide the care and consistency they deserve. —Mary-Ellen •Home-Based Care: Nurturing a Secure Environment and Prioritizing Pet Safety!• Working from home provides me with the unique advantage of flexibility, enabling me to devote substantial and uninterrupted time to the care of your cherished pets. This arrangement allows for constant supervision, companionship, and responsiveness to their needs throughout the day. Whether it's a comforting presence, timely walks, or attending to specific requirements, my ability to work from home ensures that your loved ones receive the attention and care they deserve, fostering a secure and nurturing environment. Ensuring your pet's safety is my utmost priority, and I take proactive measures by asking detailed questions about their behaviors and needs. This personalized approach allows me to tailor my care to the unique characteristics of your furry friend, creating an environment that promotes their well-being and security. A key aspect of this commitment to safety is the policy of not allowing dogs to be off-leash. This decision, rooted in safety considerations, applies consistently to all dogs under my care, irrespective of their familiarity with off-leash activities. This policy is designed to maintain a controlled setting, minimizing potential risks and ensuring a secure and predictable environment during our time together. By adhering to this approach, I aim to provide peace of mind for both you and your pet, fostering a positive and stress-free experience.

About: I have a close connection with a well-respected, professional dog trainer. I can usually get helpful tips and techniques on short notice, which I have used to successfully train puppies on basic commands (sit, stay, etc). I have 1 cat (2yrs old) who is neutered, indoor, and very shy. I work from home so I spend a lot of time caring for my pet which includes 3 mealtimes, plus play/enrichment time, and relaxing downtime each day. For dog care, I have a small fenced in yard and live in a nice area, so dog walks and outdoor potty breaks are very convenient at most times of day.
