“Saori watched our two dogs in her house and paid home visits to our two cats. Unfortunately, a couple of days into the booking, our dogs started having diarrhea and the female was vomiting. We requested that Saori take them to our vet. Luckily, testing revealed nothing serious, Saori gave the dogs their meds, and they recuperated after fluids at the vet. They got to swim in her pool, went to the dog park, and other adventures. Saori also got the thankless task of cleaning up a mouse carcass that Vinny left, as well as some piles of vomit. I was a dog walker and sitter for 2 years in college, had a dog growing up as a child and I’ve rescued and adopted 5 pups with my husband. Since I'm use to the early mornings, walking the fur babies early is not a problem. I believe a tired dog is a happy dog and I try to make sure they get as much play time and attention as needed. My schedule changes based on the needs of my clients for that week, and I adjust as needed. My pets are my babies! I have a fenced in yard, with a dog door to access it. It does close, and can be kept closed during the day if needed as my dogs are extremely well trained, and also have the option to access to my home office (a separate building in the back yard) if needed. They have full range and free access to the downstairs, except we discourage them being in the kitchen. Our dogs are kept from the upstairs by a secured baby gate. They are allowed up there, just usually attended because the puppy sometimes confuses her human sisters toys for her own! We have a large property with a trail that we take our dogs up to, and also live very close to several hiking trails that we frequent. One of our dogs had to retire from long walks and hikes, so he stays home now, but he still loves a good car ride and a short easy walk!

About: Hi, I’m Steph and I am a senior Veterinary Nursing major currently working in practice at as vet assistant in Shelton. Most of our classes have hands-on training and scenarios which translate into real world veterinary skills. During my time as a vet nursing student I have completed courses such as Animal Disease & Nutrition, Anatomy & Physiology, Pharmacology, Parasitology, Radiology, Surgical Nursing and more! I have been able to worked in multiple animal care environments including veterinary hospitals, daycares, and shelters. Caring for animals and being able to help and care for them when other people can’t is truly my passion and what keeps me going in my field of work! All bookings can easily fit around my school schedule. Right now I am only taking a couple courses, so I am very flexible! I prefer to not stay at a clients home full time for days in a row, however again I can be flexible with the circumstances :) I live in an apartment complex that is animal friendly, I am a little OCD so my place is kept pretty tidy. I have a terrier/mix Cooper and a cat Reid who free roam the apartment at all times we have never had to crate either of them, but can if necessary(Also can separate cat if your pet isn’t cat friendly). Both are fed and cooper is walked relatively at the same times everyday, and are up to date on their exams & vaccinations (paperwork available). In other clients home I make it my priority to respect the wishes of the client. I understand everyone has their own way of doings things and that’s completely okay! I always keep my front door locked at home so I am very good at remembering to lock up after I leave.

She took them to the dog park in the morning for a couple of hours, helped continue our invisibile fence training, and sent us so many pics and updates throughout the weekend. We currently have Bailey, our sweet and gentle Bernese Mountain Dog, as well as a Ragdoll cat, Jades who is also very much part of our family.
