“A savior. My dog was previously discriminated against at a kennel because of my dogs breed, and I was at a loss of what to do when entrusting my dogs care, and time was of the essence. Finding someone new was uncomfortable at best, but meeting Rich and his crew, and seeing how much my dog loved being there was a HUGE comfort. When I left Fin there, I did not worry, and that is saying something, as I was flying across the country, and leaving my dog in his care. I got very frequent updates and photos on how Fin was doing. “Saori watched our two dogs in her house and paid home visits to our two cats. Unfortunately, a couple of days into the booking, our dogs started having diarrhea and the female was vomiting. We requested that Saori take them to our vet. Luckily, testing revealed nothing serious, Saori gave the dogs their meds, and they recuperated after fluids at the vet. They got to swim in her pool, went to the dog park, and other adventures. Saori also got the thankless task of cleaning up a mouse carcass that Vinny left, as well as some piles of vomit. Saori went above and beyond when caring for our pets. We wouldn’t hesitate to use her in the future.”

About: I have 2 labs (1 lab German Shepard mix and 1 lab), who love to play and romp around, as well as the finer things in life like relaxation.My working schedule allows me to work from home full time, huge plus for the pups and kiddos. We travel about once a year for 2 weeks, and mostly spend our time in town as our boys do sports. I was a dog walker and sitter for 2 years in college, had a dog growing up as a child and I’ve rescued and adopted 5 pups with my husband. Since I'm use to the early mornings, walking the fur babies early is not a problem. I believe a tired dog is a happy dog and I try to make sure they get as much play time and attention as needed. Treating the fur babies as family members, means they have their beds, own couch, toys and free range in our house.

About: I was a Poodle Dog breeder and was Registered with the American Kennel Club. I was an owner of 2 beautiful poodles for 18 years that were my babies. They have full range and free access to the downstairs, except we discourage them being in the kitchen. Our dogs are kept from the upstairs by a secured baby gate. They are allowed up there, just usually attended because the puppy sometimes confuses her human sisters toys for her own! We have a large property with a trail that we take our dogs up to, and also live very close to several hiking trails that we frequent. One of our dogs had to retire from long walks and hikes, so he stays home now, but he still loves a good car ride and a short easy walk!

About: I’ve been welcoming other people’s dogs into my home for more than 20 years. It started because I knew firsthand how hard it was to leave my own dog when I traveled. I wanted there to be another option for people like me—people who couldn’t imagine leaving their dog in a kennel but also weren’t comfortable having someone stay in their home. What began as something I offered to friends became something I genuinely love doing. There’s something very special about watching a dog arrive in an unfamiliar place, helping them settle in and trust me, and eventually seeing them stretched out on the couch or curled up beside me as though they’ve always lived here. I still miss them when they go home. I board dogs from only one family at a time because I want their stay to feel less like boarding and more like their own vacation. While they’re here, they live with me as part of my household. I work from home and structure my days around them, so they have plenty of companionship and frequent access to my fully fenced yard. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, from very small dogs to dogs over 100 lbs, as well as puppies and seniors. They’re welcome on my furniture and, if they sleep with their people at home, they’re welcome to sleep with me. I also have experience staying over night at various houses to dog sit. I’m currently working as a teacher, but we are off during the Summer. I have a lot of free time to take care of all of your pets needs. I am available Monday through Sunday. I will follow all of the instructions of the pet’s owner. I am available to walk, feed, play, and dog sit overnight. I will spend quality time with the pets.

Dogs who were sick. I am a teacher, so I use the weekends and holidays to give people the help they need. Usually, I go over to the owner's home and care for them. “A savior. My dog was previously discriminated against at a kennel because of my dogs breed, and I was at a loss of what to do when entrusting my dogs care, and time was of the essence. Finding someone new was uncomfortable at best, but meeting Rich and his crew, and seeing how much my dog loved being there was a HUGE comfort. When I left Fin there, I did not worry, and that is saying something, as I was flying across the country, and leaving my dog in his care. I got very frequent updates and photos on how Fin was doing. About: I’ve been welcoming other people’s dogs into my home for more than 20 years. It started because I knew firsthand how hard it was to leave my own dog when I traveled. I wanted there to be another option for people like me—people who couldn’t imagine leaving their dog in a kennel but also weren’t comfortable having someone stay in their home. What began as something I offered to friends became something I genuinely love doing. There’s something very special about watching a dog arrive in an unfamiliar place, helping them settle in and trust me, and eventually seeing them stretched out on the couch or curled up beside me as though they’ve always lived here. I still miss them when they go home. I board dogs from only one family at a time because I want their stay to feel less like boarding and more like their own vacation. While they’re here, they live with me as part of my household. I work from home and structure my days around them, so they have plenty of companionship and frequent access to my fully fenced yard. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, from very small dogs to dogs over 100 lbs, as well as puppies and seniors. They’re welcome on my furniture and, if they sleep with their people at home, they’re welcome to sleep with me. I don’t routinely crate dogs, but I’ll maintain a dog’s crate routine if that’s what they’re accustomed to at home. I require a Meet & Greet before accepting a new dog because I want your dog to be comfortable with me, my home and my dog—and I want you to feel completely comfortable leaving them with me. After more than 20 years, the reason I do this hasn’t changed. I want you to be able to enjoy your time away knowing your dog is enjoying theirs, too—living in a home, getting affection and companionship, and being cared for by someone who understands just how much they mean to you. While your dog is in my care, I structure my days around them. I work from home, have my groceries delivered and generally don’t schedule activities that require me to leave them alone. There’s no rigid boarding schedule here—their normal routine becomes part of mine. Whether they want to follow me around the house, nap beside me while I work, play, cuddle or head into the fenced yard, they have companionship throughout the day. While your dog is with me, I treat them as one of my own, with the same love, attention and care I give my own dog. Before a dog stays with me for the first time, I require a Meet & Greet with my dog so we can make sure they’re comfortable together before you leave your dog in my care. I board dogs from only one family at a time, so there aren’t unfamiliar boarding dogs constantly coming and going. My yard is fully fenced, and while your dog is here, I follow your instructions for feeding, medications and normal routines. I don’t crate dogs unless their family specifically requires it as part of their normal routine.
