“Kristina and her husband were great watching our dog! She sent updates every day, and I could tell he was well taken care of. He is a high energy, rough and tumble dog, and they were fine to manage this. Their dog lucky is a totally sweetheart and liked to play with ours. Thanks so much both!”

“Virginia was great and helped me out with my pup last minute. She is a solid communicator and sent regular photos and updates about Tozi. She was really flexible with my travel plans which shifted unexpectedly and even sent Tozi home with a cute spring bandana. Would definitely book with her in the future.”

About: I have taken care of a variety of animals, starting from a young age. My parents had a little farm and a love for Boxers, a very high energy breed. I have a preference for Great-Danes and other gentle giants, but I love all dogs! Our 1.5 acre backyard is fenced and ready for your pet to play, potty, and chill with our 8 year-old graying pup, Olympus. I walk my pet one mile everyday and often run another mile on my own since my dog is elderly and cannot run with me. Meals are twice, sometimes three times a day. I clean the floors, rugs, and all doggie blankets once a week to maintain a hygienic environment. I work from home so I am always around. I have a flexible schedule that can fit your pups needs. I can manage high-energy pups and dogs with separation anxiety. I have air conditioning and I have an insurance plan through Pet Care Insurance.
“Allena is a life saver. My dog last minute had fleas and she kindly was able to pivot how my dog was cared for. She took great care of my fur baby and will definitely use her for care again in the future !”

“Heather did such an amazing job with our dog, Bruno! It was such a relief to know that he was having so much fun and being so well cared for while we were gone. We were afraid that he wouldn't want to come back home! She also sent the most amazing pics of him for us to enjoy! Thank you so much! Bruno can't wait to stay again!”

“Darek was fantastic with my pup! She was a happy girl when I picked her up. On top of that, my trip ended up getting extended two extra days and Darek was so helpful and communicative during the whole process, it took a huge weight off of my shoulders as a pet parent! Definitely recommend him as a sitter and will be using him again!!”

“Thanks Tarah for Ranger’s visit. Sounds like he had a wonderful adventure filled visit. He was definitely tired but happy when we picked him up. We would love to have you watch him again!”

“Nichole is a wonderful sitter!! We boarded our white Golden Retriever, Kodiak with her while we were at Wanderlust Squaw and got wonderful photos back from her! It was like leaving your dog with a professional photographer. Some of the photos we got back we are framing:) She is a kind and patient sitter and you can tell she really LOVES dogs. She also has a white Golden Retriever ("English Cream") and the two pups got along famously! We'll be using her services again if we are up that way!!”

“Madeline did such a great job taking care of our Beau kitty and home while we were away on a family trip. She sent so many pictures daily with detailed updates and stories about how he was doing. Though he was a little wary at first, he seemed to warm up bit by bit as time went by, and I think by about the time we were ready to come home he was sad to see her leave. We came home to a happy kitty thanks to her! She also watered my flowers for which I was so grateful :-)”

“Andrew is fantastic with our shy cats and super reliable. He has great communication and sends us lots of cute photos of our girls! We'll definitely have Andrew watch our kitties again!”

About: Hello! 👋🐾 I’m Ben - newly settled in Durango, CO after two years exploring Europe. I grew up in the English countryside surrounded by animals, so caring for pets has always been second nature to me. 🌿🐑🐶 I’ve worked with everything from farm animals to family pets, most recently working with Secondhand Hounds shelter in Minnesota helping care for dogs and cats waiting for their forever homes. 🐕🦺🐱💛 I’m comfortable with all breeds, all sizes, and all personalities - energetic adventurers, gentle giants, seniors who need a softer pace, and even pups with quirks or nerves. My experience includes walking, grooming, potty breaks, basic care, and medication support. 🚶♂️🧼💊 I’ve recently moved back to the U.S. after living in the UK for several years. In the US, I worked along side several pet adoption/rescue agencies & volunteered at shelters. I follow your pet’s normal routine and your instructions exactly! Feeding, walks, meds, and house rules. I keep a close eye on safety, stress, and comfort, whether I’m in your home or they’re with me. Your pet stays supervised, secure, and treated with the same care I’d give my own.
About: hi my name is Chloe! My family has 4 dogs who I love to take care of. They are basically my babies. I would love to take care of your pets! I’m super reliable and pretty good about working around times for things needed to be done. I have a big heart for animals and I would love to help you out as well. I typically only work during the day, a couple times a week. So that would always give me time with your pets in the morning and all afternoon and night. If I were at my home I would play outside and stay with them till we are ready to come in. I’ll play fetch, tug, go on walks, or car rides! At others houses I would do the same, unless I am told otherwise.

About: I grew up with cats (5 to be exact). I have always had a cat in the house hold. Right now, I don't have a cat and I miss them! I'd love to hang with your kitty. I'm patient and loving with cats. I'll give them all the snuggles they ever want.

“Julianne was an excellent dog sitter! I felt confident leaving Tarzan in her care. And when the weather got really bad she even took Tarzan home with her! She really knows dogs!”

About: I have experience taking care of and training dogs from puppy to senior. I have knowledge of animals with special diets, medical conditions, or behaviors that might differ from an average pet. I take care of all animals with love and attention to detail. I also have experience with many breeds of dogs and energy levels. I have cared for dogs, cats, farm animals, reptiles, rodents, and aquatics in the past. I am extremely active and have no problem getting dogs required exercise or just being a couch potato with the seniors who just need company. I have one dog named Wallie who gets along with everyone. He has the energy to play all day and the know abouts to respect and leave alone dogs who want nothing to do with him. I also have the ability to watch aggressive dogs due to easy and secure house devision.
About: Hello fellow pet lovers! 🐾 I’m based in beautiful Durango, Colorado, and I’d be thrilled to care for your furry (or fluffy!) family members. I have experience with dog walking, boarding, feeding, and giving medications — and I’m all about customizing care to fit your pet’s unique personality and routine. Whether your pup loves long mountain walks, your kitty enjoys cozy cuddle time, or your houseplants need a little extra TLC, I’ve got you covered! 🌿🐶🐱 I have a reliable vehicle and can travel up to 40 miles from Durango. My schedule is flexible, my energy is positive, and my goal is to make sure both you and your pets feel happy and at ease while you’re apart. Can’t wait to meet your beloved companions and learn how I can help make their days a little brighter! I am a massage therapist in the area so my schedule is fairly flexible and shifts I work are short. I have availability twice a day to walk your pups and would make sure your animal gets all the love and minimal time without human companionship. I treat any animals that I care for as my own. I can easily let your dog out multiple times and day in addition to at least two walks a day. With lots of opportunity for yard time inside my 6-ft fenced in yard. We are located in a scenic and peaceful neighborhood in Aspen springs, approximately 6 mi west of Pagosa springs. Your dog will be able to run and play as much as it wants (supervised, of course) on my fenced in one and a half acre property. I currently have 2 dogs, one is a german shepherd/catahoula mix at about 2 yrs. old (still an active and playful pup) and the other is a husky/lab mix at about 12 yrs. old. both have lots of experience with other dogs. I don't spend much time away from the property these days. I do however have a part-time job in town that will keep me away from the house for about 4 to 6 hours and it's no problem taking an extended break if dogs need attention. You can be assured that when I'm away your pups will be safe, secure and comfortable. With plenty of space to stretch out in my three bedroom home. I live on just over an acre, in a nice qiuet country setting. “I left my puppy with Virginia for doggy daycare and was very pleased! Virginia was very accommodating when I had something unexpected come up and was late picking up my dog. I appreciate her understanding and will absolutely use her again!”

“Kristina has been a godsend for my puppy and I. She and her husband have helped to train my puppy, socialize, and exercise her. She comes back happy and exhausted every time. Not only is my puppy cared for, but Kristina is reasonably priced, able to accommodate my wacky schedule, and conveniently located. I'm not someone who typically leaves reviews and I couldn't recommend these guys enough.”

About: I’ve been a pet owner for nearly 30 years — from growing up with our family’s Border Collies and house cats, to raising my own Jack Russells throughout adulthood, to caring for two rescue kittens in college. I’m equally comfortable with dogs and cats of all personalities and needs. What sets me apart is the range of care I’ve provided. I’ve raised a Jack Russell puppy from the wild, zoomie-filled stage into a well-behaved, confident adult, so I’m patient, consistent, and great with puppies who need structure and gentle training. I’ve also cared for a 17-year-old senior dog during his end-of-life stage, which taught me how to support pets who need slower routines, medication, and close, intuitive attention. I fostered an entire litter of puppies and their mom from an overcrowded shelter, so I’m familiar with round-the-clock care, monitoring, and meeting shy or sensitive animals where they are. Between that and my own lifelong pet experience, I’ve worked with animals at every life stage and energy level. I’m single with plenty of free time, which means your pets get steady attention, affection, and a calm, reliable presence while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because of the flexibility I have in my career. I’m a real estate agent with a team beneath me, which means I create my own schedule and have other agents I can rely on if I’m ever occupied. That gives me plenty of space in my days for walks, check-ins, playtime, and consistent attention. I’ve actually considered getting another dog over the last couple of years, but I haven’t felt ready for the full-time commitment again. A friend suggested I join Rover as a way to support other pet owners in the community while still getting to pour my love, energy, and care into animals — and it’s the perfect fit. Your pets get someone who’s genuinely excited to spend time with them and has the availability to be fully present. I’m very affectionate and hands-on with the pets I care for — they get plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship. I genuinely love walking, so having a dog join me on my daily walks is the best part of my routine. Whether it’s a neighborhood stroll, a peaceful loop along the River Trail, or a fun outing to the Smelter dog park, I make sure pets get the activity and stimulation they need. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routines closely so everything feels familiar and comforting. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, potty breaks, behavior changes, and whatever little rituals make each pet feel at ease. My goal is always to create a safe, loving, and engaging experience — whether they’re with me for a few hours or a few days.
“Lori is awesome! We were in town for a day trip and needed somewhere for our dogs. We had no worries with Lori, and the puppies came home exhausted. Lori was very flexible and loved our puppies like her own. Will definitely use again if in the area!”

“Fun place for my dog. He enjoyed going to daycare after the first day. It’s great that he got to play with other dogs since he doesn’t normally have that. Chris was very flexible with drop-off and pick-up times which I really appreciate. Will definitely send my dog to Chris’ daycare again.”

“My 2 dogs took to Carole the minute we stepped in the door. I felt very comfortable leaving my dogs with her for the day. They were very well cared for. Communication was very good while scheduling the visit and the day of services. I highly recommend Carole!”

About: I have been working with animals since I was a child! I grew up on a farm with horses and our trusty yellow Labradors, learning from an early age the true meaning of taking care of others. I love providing dogs the happiest experience - I find such joy when playing, running, skiing, or hiking with dogs and seeing the BIG smile on their faces! Any pups that stay with me, my husband, and our goofy dog, Miles, will have a fantastic time, as well as guaranteed adventure (as appropriate!). When your pup stays with us, he/she will never be left alone and will be treated as one of our own. Having fur-babies of our own, I understand the importance of knowing that your pup is well taken care of according to his/her needs. We hope to see you soon! I work full-time from home with a flexible schedule. Considering this, your pup will never be left alone and enjoy our company (and snuggles) 24/7. I have a flexible schedule and will update my calendar weekly as needed regarding my availability. Our home is located in Rafter J on three acres, ~10 minutes from downtown Durango. We have one dog named Miles, a seven-year-old Weimaraner who has a goober personality and LOVES to play with other dogs.
“Amazing first time Rover experience! Our puppy had so much fun and was loved and played with. We will absolutely use Gabriela and Joshua next year for our annual camping trip.”

“We booked another Rover dog walker to take care of our dog while we were in Durango. After we arrived, we contacted her to come out and meet our dog. She had contracted COVID so we told her not to worry about it. We contacted several more walkers and Kimberly was able to walk our dog the next day. She came out early in the morning to meet him, then came out three more times to take care of him while we took the train to Silverton and back. On the train, we decided to try a horseback ride the next day. We asked Kimberly if she could let him out again the next day and she could. Kimberly was friendly and able to take care of our dog on really short notice. We really appreciated her flexibility and availability.”

I love clients who offer detailed lists of their pets needs and daily routines! I used to do the same with my dog and know that following something like this gives everyone involved (dogs included!) ease of mind.
About: I’ve taken care of many dogs from very small to giant breeds. I have experience with puppies all the way to senior dogs with heath issues. I have a very flexible schedule and either me or my husband is home at all times. I am a huge animal lover and have owned my own dogs for 20 years. I live in an area with lots of room to roam, fenced back yard and I live on 4 acres. I am a registered nurse currently working part time and my husband works from home. So we coordinate our schedules so that someone is always home with our dog and son. I have a large area for pets to be outside that is fully fenced. Very nice neighborhood with easy access to my home. I have one small dog who is very friendly with other dogs. I am also willing to accommodate your needs to make you more comfortable with caring for your pets, as a long time per owner I know how stressful it can be to leave them and having someone wonderful care for them is extremely important.
“Andy was great. He came by to meet our girls first and then back the next day for a walk. He really let us enjoy our day up to Silverton on the Steam Engine railroad. Highly recommend him.”

About: I've been an animal lover all my life. I started watching rabbits, cats, dogs, and turtles when I was just a kid. I now have a 2 year old Heeler-Great Prynees mix that I've raised and trained from 12 weeks old! Indy is the light of my life and best friend to all. He is extremely friendly and playful with great communication and boundaries. I also was foster parent at the local shelter for eleven different dogs ranging from 4 weeks to 12 years old. I took care of these dogs for an extended period of time until they could find loving forever homes. I have plenty of experience caring for, feeding, walking, cuddling, managing reactive dogs, and training. As a self employed individual, I'm available to work within your schedule and would love to take your pups on long hikes or simple give them some belly rubs on the couch. I also offer additional dog training for $75/hr whether it's just for an hour or during a sit. I am self employed and extremely flexible! I can walk dogs at any point during the day and am available for home visits at anytime. For boarding, I'll be with your dogs almost the entire day. I don't have a fenced yard but I do have excellent trails right across the street from my house and a kennel in my house for dogs that need to be confined when left home alone. I live in a very safe neighborhood .

I’ve been around animals my entire life and was lucky enough to share many amazing years with my sweet husky girl before she crossed the rainbow bridge. Because of her, I understand just how much love and trust go into choosing the right sitter or walker. I have experience with housekeeping, farming, and animal care so please don’t hesitate to ask if you need more that just pet care.
About: Hi, I’m Lisa. I provide gentle, reliable pet care for cats and dogs, keeping their routines as normal as possible while you’re away. I’m certified in pet CPR and take care instructions seriously, with a strong focus on safety and consistency. My dog is 17 years young, so I especially enjoy working with pets who are older, shy, anxious, or used to a quiet home. I believe routines help pets feel secure, so I follow schedules closely, keep walks consistent, and watch for any behavioral changes. I offer house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking. I’m available seven days a week and organize my schedule around pets’ routines. I’m present for morning care, afternoon walks or check-ins, evening care, and overnight stays when booked. I do have two predictable personal commitments each day (late morning and early evening), and I plan pet care around those times so routines remain consistent. Walk times can be adjusted as needed, especially during hotter parts of the day. I treat clients’ homes with respect and care. I keep doors and gates secure, double-check leashes during walks, and never take risks with unfamiliar dogs. I’m happy to provide regular updates with notes and photos so you can feel confident while you’re away.
