I've watched pets for coworkers, friends, and family both in my own home as well as staying in some homes while they were gone for vacations. I am currently working from home with a flexible schedule. Since I work from home I am available to give your animal care and attention throughout the day but I do not provide constant care. Throughout my life, I have had a deep love for all animals, but dogs have always been an especially important part of my life. When I'm not coaching youth soccer for the local competitive soccer club, I spend most of my time with my new pup, Minnie, a 9-month-old Yellow Lab. After struggling to find work over the past year, I decided to pursue my passion and build a full-time career working with dogs. My day starts at around 6am with a long morning poop walk for the pups shortly after eating breakfast. Sometimes we go to the cherry creek off leash area and run around for about an hour. This leaves us tired til our next outing around noon, most of the time the pups sleep until then. After this we do treats and trainings in the afternoons followed by 2 more walks in the evenings for a total of atleast 4 outings every day. Sometimes more if the weather is very nice that day. I have a very small apartment with plenty of open space for the pups to play. Because the space is smaller im able to keep an eye on them 24/7. I work from home and am here most of the time, so your dog will get plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day rather than being left alone for long stretches. My husband, Kyle, and I currently have a playful 4-year-old chocolate lab who is very friendly and adjusts his play style based on the temperament of whatever dog he's with, so he's a great companion for pups of all personalities. I've sat for multiple dogs at once, including pups with different personalities, energy levels, and care needs, so I'm comfortable managing group dynamics, separate feeding routines, medication schedules, or specific behavioral needs your dog may have. I'm comfortable with dogs of all ages and energy levels. We're an active household and happy to provide daily walks in the local park or around the neighborhood. My home is fully fenced (a secure 6ft fence, spacious yard) with a doggy door, so dogs can move freely between indoors and outdoors on their own schedule. Dogs are welcome to relax wherever they're most comfortable in the house, but I also have baby gates at the top and bottom of the stairs if needed. I can accommodate a crate. Happy to use yours, or I have a medium-sized crate available to borrow if you'd rather not bring your own. Please note: I have a young child at home, so I'm only able to host dogs who are good with kids. I'm very responsive and flexible with your schedule and needs, and I treat every dog in my care like family, sending regular photo/video updates so you can relax and enjoy your time away knowing your pup is happy, safe, and loved. I work from home so I will be home to let your pup out frequently and provide walks. We occasionally do activities on the weekends and may be away for a few hours at a time, but never away for too long! I have a fenced in yard with a doggy door. Our dog is not crate trained, but more than happy to accommodate a crate if that’s how your fur baby does best. We do at least one walk a day, usually to the park just around the corner. We have lots of toys and comfy places to lay down between play sessions.

About: Hello, my name is Keana and I am a 27 y/o health care graduate student. I've taken care of dogs as early as elementary school, most consistently a neighbor's 2 dogs and 1 cat through high school. I myself had several reptiles but no furry friends due to my mom's allergies. The first dog I could call mine was as an adoptive mom to my partner's dog - he passed away late 2025 at age 14 after getting lots of senior care from us. I have taken care of several friends' pets, mostly dogs. They are always excited to see me, and when I don't have anyone to take care of, I miss the canine company! I look forward to helping your pet live their best life while you are away. I find boarding (at my home) is the easiest way to get them the best attention, so that is my focus. I study at home much of the time and my partner works from home so your pet won't ever be alone more than a few hours. My days vary but are flexible. I update availability regularly, but if you have any special requests just ask. I wouldn't be able to live with it if something happened to your pup while with me! I have experience with reactive dogs, dogs who have lost hearing, have digestive issues, and many other senior things. They will never be unsupervised outside. If you are working on any simple training or reinforcements I can continue that, too. I understand not all pets are cuddlers or like to be picked up just because they are small and I am respectful of their bodily autonomy :)
