About: I love being outside and am very active so your pet will get lots of exercise. I’m also patient and willing to work with shy or stubborn cats and dogs. I’m a behavior analyst so I have a preliminary understanding of how to discourage inappropriate behaviors. I work part time in person downtown Steamboat, and part time telehealth so I am home a lot. In addition to myself, my boyfriend is home in the evenings. We have two dogs in the home (1 year and 2 years, both fixed and friendly!). I believe that pets need to be mentally stimulated so in my own home, we have lots of toys for animals to play with. I’m also very active and if your pet is up for it, love going on long walks and to the dog park. When I’m in someone else’s home providing care, I’m more than willing to give lots of cuddles and play time as needed or whatever you request!

We have a very loving home. Hank still enjoys playing with other dogs, even if he can't for very long! Hank was very instrumental in training Little Willie, A very sweet Terrier that became family! I work from home and only leave the house for short periods of time (no more than two hours). Dogs have 24 hour access to the yard which is pretty Houdini-proof! About: What your pup gets on a stay stay with them: ~ At least 2 walks a day. (unless otherwise directed) ~ Affection galore (one of the most important parts, and they will still be happy to go home to you. :) ~ Feeding schedule and types of food stuck to (a change in food is one of the things that can make pups most nervous). ~ A peaceful time and place to sleep. ~ And, play! (if so desired) ~ and pictures and videos for you, depending on whether the pups keep doing what they are doing while I break out my phone. HaHa! My dear Poco has crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge: April 29, 2024. She lived a very long a full life and I continue this work knowing she is still my “assistant”. I do sometimes have more than one sit at a time, so please specify if your pal(s) are amicable to making new furiends. I am around quite often for your pet’s needs. I wake, walk and feed us all and then do some of my own work. I make sure to play, pet and cuddle thoroughout the day. I am also well versed at care for birds and small fuzzy creatures (hamsters, etc.) Making sure people's fur-children are safe is my number one priority. I take safety measures such as always checking leashes and harnesses are secure and tight enough so they won't slip out. I wrap the leash around my wrist in a way that will keep them secure even if they get startled. I check areas to make sure there are no tempting things to eat on walks or in any areas. I listen to pet "owners" regarding what they know about their "kids" and make sure to follow instructions.

About: First, I live in Craig, but willing to try to make pickups work in Steamboat, meeting halfway or we travel for the gym often, so please don't hesitate to reach out to discuss. About: Hello my name is Mayra and I have been on Rover for about 10 years now, and absolutely love it! I have met wonderful pets, people, and have great interactions with all my clients. The reason I am on Rover is to love your pet as if they were mine! unfortunately due to my traveling life style in the past, I have not been able to have my own pet but, I lOVE DOGS, and every animal! I have been dog sitting for about 8 years, during college friends could rely on me to bring over their dogs when they were going out of town or for the weekend. I grew up with a golden lab named Baby. I love to take dogs on hikes in the mountains or just hangout at the park. I often go to Cherry Creek Dog Park, where it makes my soul super happy that dogs can roam free in total bliss. I play tug-0- war, or the simple belly scratch for hours while watching a movie. I have experience with giving pets medicine and being cautious of dietary needs. I am now in Steamboat and Yampa and can commute to both areas. About: Hi I’m Karissa! I’m a passionate pet lover and have been dog & cat sitting for many years, having at least 16 years of experience. I love being around animals of all types and can provide whatever care they may need from overnight stays to daily walks. I grew up around my family dogs and over the years have watched, walked, and cared for my neighbors and friends dogs when needed. I have been around and am comfortable with dogs of all sizes. About: I love being outside and am very active so your pet will get lots of exercise. I’m also patient and willing to work with shy or stubborn cats and dogs. I’m a behavior analyst so I have a preliminary understanding of how to discourage inappropriate behaviors. I work part time in person downtown Steamboat, and part time telehealth so I am home a lot. In addition to myself, my boyfriend is home in the evenings. We have two dogs in the home (1 year and 2 years, both fixed and friendly!). I believe that pets need to be mentally stimulated so in my own home, we have lots of toys for animals to play with. I’m also very active and if your pet is up for it, love going on long walks and to the dog park. When I’m in someone else’s home providing care, I’m more than willing to give lots of cuddles and play time as needed or whatever you request!

My own dog Koi, a 5-year-old mixed breed, lives with us full-time and is great with other dogs, so your pup will have a built-in playmate. My yard can also be divided and fenced off within. I do own dogs of my own that love to play and will sure keep each other busy! About: I grew up on a farm and have taken care of all kinds of animals my entire life. I love animals, and will treat your pets with the same love and care as I do for my own (1 cat one dog, both good with other animals). I have raised multiple cats and dogs throughout my life. I am working full time during the week, 8-4 Monday-Friday. I work as a life enrichment coordinator at Casey's pond, where I actually bring my dog (and sometimes my cat!) to work and they get to spend time with residents. This job allows me a lot of flexibility, and I am able to come home every 2 hours. I am free every weekend, and overnight care is also possible with my schedule. I have a fenced in yard and an guest bedroom which your pet could stay in, we are also able to fit a crate in here. My pets are allowed on all the furniture. I have a well behaved 1.5 year old dog who would love nothing more than to show your dog (or cat) around our house, and a 13 year old cat who is absolutely oblivious to any other animals and just does her own thing. I love spending time outside and will play with / walk your dogs if desired!
