About: Having been a dog lover since childhood, I’ve always had dog sitting gigs for a side hustle. About: Lots of experience with dogs in particular. Always enjoy time with them and I think they enjoy time with me. And our 2 girls are very welcoming and eager to have new friends visit. I work from home so having another mouth or 2 around to feed and a friend or 2 more to play with is never an issue. Yard is not fenced but pets will never be left outside unattended. However, I have a large deck that is fully enclosed so weather permitting the pets are free to enjoy the outside as they wish.

(if so desired) ~ and pictures and videos for you, depending on whether the pups keep doing what they are doing while I break out my phone. HaHa! My dear Poco has crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge: April 29, 2024. She lived a very long a full life and I continue this work knowing she is still my “assistant”. I do sometimes have more than one sit at a time, so please specify if your pal(s) are amicable to making new furiends. My life is currently in transition. I am currently around quite often for your furpets' needs. I can also care for birds and small fuzzy creatures (hamsters, etc.) Making sure people's fur-children are safe is my number one priority. I take safety measures such as always checking leashes and harnesses are secure and tight enough so they won't slip out. I wrap the leash around my wrist in a way that will keep them secure even if they get startled. I check areas to make sure there are no tempting things to eat on walks or in any areas. I listen to pet "owners" regarding what they know about their "kids" and make sure to follow instructions.

About: Hello, My name is Sage and I have a long history of taking care of dogs. I grew up with Samoyeds, Chows, Irish Wolfhounds, Catahoulas and Basenjis. My parents owned a small ranch in the mountains above Boulder, CO. I was raised as a ranch girl in the mountains and I learned how to take care of many different species of animals, such as chickens, dogs, horses, cows, parrots, cats, pigs and rabbits. After my upbringing on the ranch, I went to college and I worked seasonally for many years as a field biologist but was unable to have a dog of my own due to the uncertain nature of my work and a lot of time spent away from home. It wasn't until I met my husband seven years ago that I was able to have another dog in my life. I agreed to the first date with my husband only because he had a very beautiful blue merle Australian Shepherd named Rocky, who I fell in love with immediately. Rocky was eleven when I met him and was the best adventure buddy, but he slowed down two years later and passed away at 15. He was a funny combination of incredibly sweet and a bit snarky. He was quite specific about how he wanted to be touched, so he taught me a lot about boundaries and caring for an old dog. A year and a half ago my husband and I adopted Nelly, a very energetic red merle Australian Shepherd who is full of fun. She is my adventure side kick on ski outings, paddling trips, hikes and mountain bike rides. She is very smart and well trained, and we go everywhere together. We are looking for dog friends to accompany us on our outings since it is a fast way for Nelly to burn through some of her exuberant energy. Besides Australian Shepherds, I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes since I've been around many different breeds and mixes. Besides growing up with dogs, I spent a year in Seattle working in dog care on Rover and for a private trainer, so I got to spend time with all sorts of dogs. I have lived with two Cane Corsos (Italian Mastiffs), who taught me a lot about personal space and the body language of large dogs. Throughout high school and college I house sat often for family friends and my own family’s dogs. I now have my own dog who I love more than anything. “Suzannah did a spectacular job with our fuzzball while we were out of town for the week. Charlie (the fuzzball) has always been timid around new people and defensive around larger dogs. Suzannah gave him all the cuddles and tummy scratches Charlie needed to feel comfortable early on. By the second day, he was playing with the other dogs and begging her for attention just like he would with us. In fact, he seemed sad to be leaving at the end of his stay.
