“Liah is absolutely wonderful!! She went above and beyond every step; not only for Gus, but for us as well. Great communication, sweet picture updates and space to let Gus find his happy place. Will absolutely book with Liah again!”

“Just Perfect! Hadley was SO caring and thoughtful when watching our dog Abby. Hadley sent daily updates and pictures so we knew Abby was having a good time and it gave us confidence that she was in good hands while we were away. When we picked Abby up and took her home she was calm and settled in right away which shows how content she was. We had been worried about leaving Abby as she didn’t do well when we left her at a different boarder, but those fears are long gone now. We definitely will be using Hadley in the future!”

About: Having been a dog lover since childhood, I’ve always had dog sitting gigs for a side hustle. I also managed a professional boarding kennel for 5 years where I learned to care for pets of all sizes, personalities and needs. The great outdoors are my life, and I have grown into a passion hunting dogs, and have spent the last 4 years training my Labrador retriever. I have two dogs of my own, West, my four year old trusty hunting black Labrador, and Tilly a nine year old German Shepherd mix. I’m mostly available on weekends (Friday-Sunday), but depending on your dog’s daily needs, I can be flexible. I live in Oak Creek, but work in Steamboat Springs at a very dog friendly environment. I ensure your pet gets the basic care they need, plus extra love, photos, and time outside. I am flexible on whether you want me to stay in your home, or in mine, again depending on the specific pet’s needs and location.
“Elisabeth is phenomenal! She watched our pups for 5 days and provided them with the best care. She was very aware of each dog’s needs/rules and was so attentive. We also had some logistical complexity during our time in Steamboat, and she was so easy to work with, super communicative, and very helpful!”

“Suzanne and her family took fantastic care of our older golden. Suzanne sent regular updates and it was obvious our pup had a blast. I will definitely use Suzanne for again next time we have a Steamboat ski weekend.”

About: I am an animal lover and will do anything in my power to ensure your furbaby is well-cared for and communication is clear and exceeds your expectations so you can ease your worries and take care of business or enjoy your vacation. I am available for drop in visits morning, throughout the day and at the end of the day. If your pet needs special attention let me know! If they are cat friendly they can stay at my place otherwise I can make arrangements to potentially stay at your place if your pet needs overnight care. My attention to detail and deep compassion will guide my care as I communicate with you to best understand needs, schedule and expectation of care. I love direct, clear communication that helps us make a plan and communicate any changes or challenges along the way.
“Jeannine took great care of my senior dog who required special medication and treatment during her stay while we were in Steamboat. Perfect place for her to nap and relax over the weekend!”

I have extensive experience with horses and farm animals as well, through riding, competing, and training horses for most of my life. My 1.5-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog, Ruger, comes with me to any stays that I book. He is very well behaved and friendly with all animals. When I am not at your house (at work, errands, etc.), he goes back to stay at my house. If you have ANY questions at all about me or my services, feel free to reach out and I would love to get to know you and your furry friend! I work Monday – Thursday at the hospital and have short mid-day lunch breaks, but if you live within 5 minutes of the hospital, I can often make mid-day potty breaks work with my schedule. About: I grew up with dogs and have been taking care of friends dogs ever since I can remember. In my community I am often the first person called when it comes down to finding a trustworthy pet sitter. In addition, I have spent the last 5 years working with/ and babysitting kids with severe cognitive and physical disabilities. As a full time student I spend a lot of my time doing school work but, like dogs, need to get out and run around. I get to spend my time outside, on walks, runs, and bikes in between classes and on the weekends. I live in an apartment with two other dog loving girls. I am more than happy to share my bed or floor with an interested pup. Although I don't have a yard, I live right across from a big soccer field and have access to the horse gulch trail system behind my apartment (which I frequently use). I am currently working as a plumber for my dad. I tend to have lots of leniency with work and can even bring a pup with me! My house is open to all cats and dogs and that includes the couch haha! I live outside of town in a house where dogs have lots of room to roam and even a pond! In my home the safety of all pets is very important :)

“Laura watched our dog for 6 hours. It was last minute and she was very accommodating. I'm sure he had a great time playing with her dog and kids, and going on a walk. I highly recommend Laura, and would ask her to pet sit again! Such a nice convenience. Knowing he was in good hands let us enjoy a nice day in steamboat.”

“Elisabeth and Mike were incredible sitters for my 11 year old higher anxiety cattle dog mix pup, Hazel for a week while I was on a work trip to Steamboat Springs. I always struggle leaving her with new people but they very adamantly listened to all the needs I expressed about Hazel's care and as a result make it very easy to trust that I was leaving her in good care. One of my favorite things was that as a dog with separation anxiety, Hazel never had to be alone during doggy daycare! It was clear after the week that she was so loved and well cared for that she didn't want to go home! I'm so grateful for Elisabeth's trustability, reliability, communication, cute pictures, and catering Hazel's experience to her needs over the course of the week. I only wish I lived closer so Hazel could see them more often!”
“Liam did a fantastic job taking care of Bowie. I really like his calm, friendly demeanor which put my pup and me at ease. When I picked Bowie up I could tell he received a good amount of exercise, but wasn’t overstimulated or anxious. Liam was quick to respond to any questions I had and sent me a picture of Bowie during the day just to let me know he was doing well.”

“This worked out great! Juanita was available on short notice, and very responsive, and we were able to keep our pup sheltered from the extreme daytime heat while we were camping in Steamboat. Very grateful that we had this last minute solution.”

“Elena was fantastic! She was communicative, flexible with meeting up, and very trustworthy with our pups. It was so nice to have peace of mind knowing they were in good hands while we visited the hot springs. Definitely recommend her if you’re visiting the Steamboat area.”

“Everything about our puppy’s stay for day care was lovely! Suzanne was very responsive to all my questions before booking and she followed through with everything she said she would. We went skiing for the day and we were very pleased our dog came back tired! Based on all the pictures we got we know he had a great time- I 100% recommend!”

“"I cannot recommend Mayra enough. She sent us photos and videos of our furry baby, which made our vacation so relaxing because we knew he was in great hands. Mayra was able to confirm our appointment within an hour of us needing someone to take care of our puppy. She was caring, and truly treated our dog like their own. Thank you for the amazing care!"”

“Chad was fantastic! They were super attentive to my pup and stayed in touch with quick updates the whole time. The large fenced-in yard was a huge hit, and I really appreciated how flexible they were with my schedule. It’s such a relief finding a sitter this reliable—we’ll definitely be back!”

We have a very loving home. Hank still enjoys playing with other dogs, even if he can't for very long! Hank was very instrumental in training Little Willie, A very sweet Terrier that became family! I work from home and only leave the house for short periods of time (no more than two hours). Dogs have 24 hour access to the yard which is pretty Houdini-proof! Hank used to climb the chain link fence! We have a fenced yard, dog door and plenty of comfy spots to nap! Hank loves company and will be a good buddy to your dog!
“Never been happier to leave my puppy anywhere! Suzi (and Bailey) are Coppers best friends and he wags his whole butt all the way up to the door and doesn't look back when i go to work. Thank youuu!!! ❤️ I am so thankful for you!.”

About: Lots of experience with dogs in particular. Always enjoy time with them and I think they enjoy time with me. And our 2 girls are very welcoming and eager to have new friends visit. I work from home so having another mouth or 2 around to feed and a friend or 2 more to play with is never an issue. Yard is not fenced but pets will never be left outside unattended. However, I have a large deck that is fully enclosed so weather permitting the pets are free to enjoy the outside as they wish.

About: What your pup gets on a stay stay with them: ~ At least 2 walks a day. (unless otherwise directed) ~ Affection galore (one of the most important parts, and they will still be happy to go home to you. :) ~ Feeding schedule and types of food stuck to (a change in food is one of the things that can make pups most nervous). ~ A peaceful time and place to sleep. ~ And, play! (if so desired) ~ and pictures and videos for you, depending on whether the pups keep doing what they are doing while I break out my phone. HaHa! My dear Poco has crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge: April 29, 2024. She lived a very long a full life and I continue this work knowing she is still my “assistant”. I do sometimes have more than one sit at a time, so please specify if your pal(s) are amicable to making new furiends. My life is currently in transition. I am currently around quite often for your furpets' needs. I can also care for birds and small fuzzy creatures (hamsters, etc.) Making sure people's fur-children are safe is my number one priority. I take safety measures such as always checking leashes and harnesses are secure and tight enough so they won't slip out. I wrap the leash around my wrist in a way that will keep them secure even if they get startled. I check areas to make sure there are no tempting things to eat on walks or in any areas. I listen to pet "owners" regarding what they know about their "kids" and make sure to follow instructions.

About: * Been taking care of friends' loved ones for decades * Ample, daily play-time is provided * Live near Rita Valentine so short or long hikes very accessible * My rules are your rules - whatever is needed to make things seamless for you and your pet so they are comfortable while you are away * I work from home and have a very flexible schedule * I'm able to walk dogs very regularly on whatever schedule they normally have * I live up the street from Yampa Core Trail and right by Rita Valentine so ample options to get them out and exercising * 15-45 minutes hikes are very easy to accommodate * My husband is retired so he is also home. He is a SUCKER for an offered belly so often his choosing to work out or doing any work around the house is ignored in favor of rubbing bellies! * I'm in a very quiet and dog-friendly neighborhood. * I have a nice side-yard but it is not fenced in. Dogs are never let out on their own. * Dogs are allowed on furniture and to sleep in bed - I try to follow whatever is the "norm" for them * I have no problem taking dogs in my car to run errands (if they have separation issues) or to have variety at Spring Creek or other nearby walking areas. * For the senior loved ones: there is an enclosed flight of stairs to get into the house. Carrying pups up stairs is NOT an issue - I had an injured gal who was limping and I just picked her up to make it easier. (50-ish lbs)

My love for animals has only grown and for the first time in my life I have no pets of my own. For that reason, Rover is the perfect opportunity for me to spend time where my heart is and surround myself with what I love while also helping others. I have a great deal of experience training puppies as well as handling dogs with behavioral issues. Look forward to hearing from you! I am available to provide frequent care every day of the week. I work 4-6 hour shifts 3-4 days per week and love playing with pups the rest of my free time. Let me know your needs and I can work with you! As I am unable to care for pets in my home I will be happy to follow all rules and guidelines you have in place for the care of your home and pets!

I am very responsive to messages and want to make your experience as smooth and easy as possible as well as take care of your pets as similarly to their regular schedule as possible.

About: I’ve grown up around almost every type of animal and have even helped my dog deliver her babies! I absolutely treat my animals better than I treat myself and would without a doubt do the same for any other animal too! I have some downtime between jobs at the moment and would love to fill it with some more furry friends! When I am back to work, I can absolutely continue to make pet care work if it’s a good fit. Always make sure they’re fed, played with/walked, and above all loved! I have experience with rowdy puppies and have way too much patience with animals and will always make sure they’re comfortable and safe in any situation.
“Amanda was really great with our giant dog Moose. She was early to meet us and took Moose out for a long walk and found a nice stream for him to cool down. Her communication was quick, and she was very professional. Thank you for helping us out on short notice.”

I love direct, clear communication that helps us make a plan and communicate any changes or challenges along the way.
“Jeannine took great care of my senior dog who required special medication and treatment during her stay while we were in Steamboat. Perfect place for her to nap and relax over the weekend!”
