“This was Ruby’s second stay with Kim and her son, and her first time staying overnight for > 1 day. This was a great opportunity for our puppy to socialize with other dogs. Kim provided daily updates and was flexible as we figured out how to make Ruby’s first long stay comfortable. About: I am familiar with hunting dog breeds in training and behavior. I am also familiar with small breed dogs. I have trained my Wirehair pointer to hunt and have a Puggle that loves to snuggle. They are both high energy and I know how to get it all out. I am very hands on with them and supervise all activities. I am currently working a day job and will be available after 2:30pm. I can do overnight stays and visits if needed. I am available anytime during the weekends. I have a privacy fenced back yard and a chain link fenced front yard. I currently have a repeating drop in, and a regular walk that is ending so I’d love to walk more regular puppers! Last year, I also helped care for a house with three dogs (one was a Cane Corso), a cat, an aquarium, and a bearded dragon, so multiple, even large, animals don’t throw me off. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and post-surgery. I’ve worked with food motivated, play motivated, and praise motivated dogs, and adjust my approach to what works for each one. My walks stay consistent, using positive reinforcement, and allowing for plenty of “sniffari” time for enrichment. On days over 95F, I’ll swap the walk for a drop-in instead, to keep the dog safe from the heat.

About: I have had family dogs my entire life. I got my very own first pup and love 13 years ago. She unfortunately had cataracts at age 2 (had surgery and can still see now) so I am experienced in administering eye drops and oral medication on a schedule. I’m currently a stay at home mom so I will bring my son with me on drop in visits and walks. Kim provided daily updates and was flexible as we figured out how to make Ruby’s first long stay comfortable.
