About: I started dog sitting for my neighbors when I was 12. My family got 2 dogs when I entered high school and I was the main care giver. Now that I am living somewhere that does not allow dogs, I love the opportunity of getting to care for other dogs and treat them as my own family. I work from home 3 days a week (M, T, F) so your dogs will have full access to me those days! If your home has WiFi and your dogs need more consistent attention, I'm comfortable working from there as long as you are too. Overall, my job is pretty flexible and I am available for midday walks, etc. I treat all dogs as if they were my own. Having grown up with one dog who was NOT and one who WAS all cuddles 24/7, I totally understand when dogs need some time and space to get used to a new person. About: I've taken care of fur babies for over 25 years, both cats and dogs. Most have been from rescue organizations and I've raised them from pups/kittens to seniors. I currently have a 12-yr old Pug, Buster, who loves cuddles and going on walks/hikes. I recently moved from Houston to the area and have the ability to work remotely. I have calls during the week but always make sure I have gaps to feed my Pug and play with him during the day. I live in a cabin which has open areas and a shallow river, St. Vrain, but have a gate on the bridge to ensure that my pet does not get to the street. I don't leave my Pug outside by himself keep him on a leash during walks and hikes. Inside of cabin is very open and plenty of space for hanging out and sleeping. I am a private Chef and only work for events on random days. I will update my schedule as I have datesm I meet every pet where they are and offer a very calm and welcoming environment. Without worry of several people in and out or loud noises. Plenty of parks and trails to walk as well.

About: I’ve been in love with dogs since I can remember, and my favorite type of work/volunteering has always involved them. When I was 15 I started dog sitting for my family friend, I watched and walked little Johnny twice a week for almost 2 years while his mom was out doing errands. After that, I started volunteering at the LoveJoy Foundation, an animal rescue in California. I walked dogs, cleaned crates, and even helped with vaccinations once a week at adoption events! My time at LoveJoy was one of the most rewarding experiences ever, and it taught me how to work with different types of dogs and different behaviors, including neurodivergent and disabled pups. I have a family dog of my own, sweet Montana, who will always be my best friend no matter how far apart we are. Montana is a bit older now, so we mostly enjoy hanging out on the couch together, but in his prior years I loved taking him on hikes, to the dog beach, and really anywhere that I went. I also have a crested gecko named Axel! I’m currently a junior at CU Boulder, so I do have school during the week but only for about 2-3 hours each day, most of the time I’m home to care for a pup! I absolutely love being outside here in Boulder, it’s too beautiful not to be, so walks and adventures are plentiful! I have a large house for your pup to roam around, but if it’s preferred that he stays in a crate during the day I can accommodate that too! My yard isn’t fenced, but we would have a lot of outside time at the park and on walks exploring all corners of Boulder. I do have experience dog sitting in client’s homes, I know that some dogs are probably more comfortable staying in their own home!

I love to reward them with high quality treats and natural peanut butter. I grew up taking care of all types of animals. I had chinchillas, rabbits, dogs, hamsters, fish etc.. Lennon was a very diificult dog to train because she's incredibly smart, independent and not very food motivated. I understand how to deal with all types of personalities/ quirks and needs from my wide range of dogs I have cared for. I have watched 14 year old standard poodles with a lot of anxiety and medical issues, to a shy mini poodle or a collie that wants to chase Lennon all day every day. Also my dog Lennon has severe allergies and very sensitive skin etc. so she takes medicine daily and I give her probiotics and am always watching to make sure she's not having a bad reaction. She has gone into anaphylaxis twice and luckily I knew the signs and was able to get her to the vet just in time to save her life. I take dog care very seriously because of this, if I notice any change in behavior or red eyes etc. I will notify you immediately and see what the course of action should be. I value giving pet owners peace of mind because I know what it is like to be worried about your animal while traveling and theres no worse feeling. I love to send lots of pictures and videos so you never have to wonder how your pup is doing. I watched dogs on Rover for 2 years before in Georgia when I was married and unfortunately it was all booked under my ex's profile so you can't see all my reviews. I take my Aussie-doodle Lennon for daily walks and have multiple playtime sessions daily with fetch balls, plush toys, doing tricks, playing tug a war etc. I also have a big comfy couch downstairs I love to snuggle with my pup on. When the weather is nice I love to go on dog friendly hikes during (between 1-4 miles) nothing too crazy especially if it is hot outside. If your dog is snuggly, I offer snuggles. If they are play oriented I offer tons of play and my pup Lennon LOVES to play and chill (she's very insanely emotionally intelligent). She knows when to play and when to relax - which I love about her. I will always take dogs for walks (weather permitting) and take them out to potty every 3-4 hours minimum.

“I’d never used the app before but loved how easy it was for Sam to keep me updated both times he visited to walk our dog. Our dog is an old boy and can be a little defensive at times, and pretty slow-moving, but Sam was super patient with him. Sam walked him for a full 30 minutes and from what I can tell, he just let our dog take it slow, sniffing (and peeing on) all the things along the way, which is his absolute favorite thing to do. I’d recommend Sam for sure, and will ask him back if we ever need help with our pets again!”

My veterinary background means I am trained in basic first aid and can confidently administer oral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous medications. Whether your pet needs exercise, playtime, medication, or simply a loving presence while you are away, I will make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for until you return. I work remote freelance positions which makes my days very flexible. My pup Zoey needs at least 5 miles a day, so we’re usually outside! I have a fenced yard that I share with my landlord’s two dogs and sometimes her daughter’s two. As such, I’m not offering in home services at this time.

About: I’ve always had a love for animals, especially dogs. I am extremely detail-oriented and respectful of any of all requests! I’ve grown up being the “crazy dog friend” and have always been a go-to for any dog sitting! I spent this whole summer dog sitting my Uncle’s Labrador retriever puppy. Everyday I went over, took her for a walk, played a little and made sure she had water/was fed. While there I also taught her some tricks! During college I would also go to the humane society and walk the dogs every week and give them some love and attention. About: I've had dogs my whole life and am very comfortable around them. I love being outside with them and even lounging for the big couch potatoes. I'm available most days of the week, however as I have a main job, I'm only available in mornings and evenings. My shifts range within the hours of 10am-7:30pm. I'd be able to go morning and evening walks or check-ins. (7am-9am and 7:30pm-11pm) I'm unable to care at my apartment. About: I always grew up with dogs and taking care of dogs. I always loved having an extra companion for x-country ski trips, hikes and runs. I’ve always found they make any activity more fulfilling whether it be hiking or grocery shopping as theyre just happy to be included. The first dog I ever watched on a regular basis was a french bulldog named Mr. Bigglesworth. He lives in Boston but we still keep in touch. I work from home so am around all day to hang out with and make sure you’re awesome dog or dogs feel comfortable while you’re away! I make sure all medications and potentially harmful household items or ingredients (grapes are poisonous is that random?) are locked away or placed in our pantry out of a dogs reach.
About: I have several years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, including puppies and older pets. I’m really patient and make sure each pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable, whether they’re staying with me or I’m visiting them. I treat every pet like they’re my own, and I think that personal care really makes a difference. I’m a student at CU Boulder, and taking care of pets fits really well into my routine. I’m fully available on weekends and love spending time with dogs whenever I get the chance. Unfortunately, having my own dog doesn’t quite fit into my life yet, so I really enjoy caring for dogs through Rover. I live in a large two-story home with plenty of space for pets to play and relax.
