About: I grew up around dogs. At just 10 years old, my mom involved me in dog sitting for a neighbor. I worked for her until I turned 18, cleaning kennels, walking the dogs, and dog sitting when she traveled. During college and afterward, I managed a dog care and senior dog shelter, dedicating my time to caring for the dogs. After work, I would walk the shelter dogs. I have two rescue dogs of my own and simply love being around animals. I love being around animals. I only accept up to 2 pets at a time for more focused care. About me - my husband and I owned two beautiful Vizslas over the last 17 years and recently lost our 2nd one. I have experience caring for high energy and senior dogs (we cared for our dogs with arthritis, Cushing's Disease, muscle atrophy). I love walking, hiking, camping and spending time with animals. I have a large 1 acre property and spacious home. No other pets or kids, just me and my husband. I am perfectly happy caring for one pet at a time if you prefer your pet to be the only pet with me. I have also cared for friends' pets for a long time as well but am adding my services here to the Rover community. Thank you! I work from home full time, so I have a lot of flexibility. I am able to take breaks often during the day for potty breaks and walks. I often hang out in the yard as well. On some weekends I like to go hiking or boondock camping, I also enjoy visiting new places. I can bring your pet along on hikes, picnics and camping trips if your pet is able to join and they are small enough to fit in our camper. ;) It is ideal for me to care for pets that can be left at home for at least 3-4 hours at a time and unattended just in case I need to run errands, especially for longer bookings. If not, I can bring them with me if it is an option. Open to discussion! :) Crates are fine if they are crate trained and unable to roam around the house alone. I have a spacious 1 acre property, but it is unfenced. However it is far from the road and our area is very quiet. I can keep your pet on a leash for potty breaks if they are prone to running away. My house is spacious and has two floors with just the two of us and no other pets or kids. The stairs and floors are covered in non-slip rugs for pets. I have a baby gate to keep your pet safe from stairs if needed. There are extra rugs for the floors if needed (our senior dogs used to slip a lot). I also have a large deck that is fully enclosed - dogs love hanging out there! I limit my home to 2 pets at a time. Since I am home a lot, I can take your pet for a walk, hang out outside or let them keep me company on the couch too! Please note that I will not accept dogs that exhibit any resource guarding, food aggression, space/bed reactivity.
“Cherie is truly a dog lover! Our little old Yorkie warmed up to her almost immediately. I was impressed at how Cherie slowly introduced Baxter to her sweet labs. Unfortunately, Baxter has separation anxiety which resulted in more than one episode of diarrhea during his stay. Cherie let me know but didn't complain, which I appreciated because I felt terrible about it! I will definitely call Cherie again and promise to give Baxter a little crumb of imodium before leaving him with her, something I genuinely wish I'd done before dropping him off this time!”
About: Hi! We are Kati and Mitch, a work from home couple living with our pack in the mountains. We’ve owned and raised dogs of all shapes and attitudes and sizes, so our experience covers most ground! Our 14 year old dog is a pit who was very reactive in his prime, teaching us a lot about how to handle reactive dogs safely, but now as a sleepy senior, he’s taught us more about senior dog care. We raised our second dog from a puppy, so she taught us so much about the adorable havoc that puppies can bring! Our newest is a rescue, who was a street dog in Texas. She was very skittish and is still people-shy, so we’ve learned a lot about how to approach wary dogs, and how to break those naughty habits she learned on the streets! We love our pack so much, and we’d love to use our knowledge to love yours too! We both work from home 100% of the time, so we are home all day if you need a daycare or want to board, your pup will rarely be left alone if ever! Our schedules are flexible enough that we can easily fit in multiple drop in visits or daily walks too. We have a fully fenced in yard, a little over half an acre. Our two younger dogs would love to play with a new friend, but will also give space if yours isn’t into the rough and tumble! Our dogs are all allowed on the furniture, one sleeps in bed with us. They are the center of our attention all day, yours will be no different! :)

About: I've been an animal lover my entire life. Ever since I was a little girl I would bring home injured or stray animals to care for. I've raised an assortment of pets from parakeets, cats, fish, bunnies, chickens, ducks, and many dogs. Our dogs are like our children to us. It's our goal to provide the very best life we could possibly give them with lots of love, structure, exercise, a good healthy diet, and medical attention when required. Any animal that comes in our presence will experience the same treatment. I work full-time remotely. While we don't have a yard per se, we live in the mountains bumped up against BLM land with lots of hiking trails and areas to walk. Our dogs get exercised daily on the trails surrounding our home. With my at-home work schedule, I have the flexibility to take walks for my breaks and lunch hour and to get up and take care of things as needed through out the day. We get up early and go outside immediately so our dogs can relieve themselves then we go in and have breakfast. After breakfast, I start work while the dogs tend to relax on the bed behind me. I will take them out to potty again on my first break then on my lunch hour, we go for a walk through the forest behind the house. They get another potty break on my second break and then another short walk after I sign out of work for the day in the evening time. We free-feed our dogs but if we have other dogs in the house we will adjust the feeding and schedule to the visiting dog(s). We are normally in bed around 10 pm and our dogs are fully on our schedule for sleeping. If we need to step out for a bit, our dogs are good being left alone in the house but we do have a crate if needed for dogs that aren't good being left alone.

I work from home half of the week and am happy to adjust my flexible schedule as needed to ensure any dog’s needs are taken care of, including mine. I always ensure I’m aware of a dog’s walking behaviors. I never walk without a leash and do not allow them to go off lease and in a public setting until I know I’m comfortable with them. I never give in to begging for human food and always ensure I shut crates appropriately as desired by the owner. I often reward puppies with small treats for positive enforcing behavior.
About: I learned pet care from an early age from a dog loving family and then worked with the humane society and spent time with professional trainers. I am a retired school teacher with lots of free time! I love talking brisk, long walks with caninne companions and seeing mature up close. I live in a beautiful condo in Genesee. There is a ton of outdoor space and easy acces to trails. Great for dogs and humans.
About: I've taken care of dogs and cats ever since I was 10. I grew up with both and have always loved animals/pets! I'm very respectful and caring. I currently work full time as an accountant in Louisville, CO. I can work remote (anywhere) Friday. House sitting I can any time Fri - Sun. Dog walking I can 530 pm (I'm out right at 5) on Mon - Fri, and any time during the weekend! I of course will follow any instruction. Am fine walking, running with your dog. I'm also very comfortable if it's a dog not as friendly with others (in terms of walking etc).

Being a animal person is in my blood and I absolutely love it and enjoy caring for them. Currently I have a part time job. I also ride horses for friends that are away on trips. Together they don't pay my bills. Working with dogs and other animals for clients I have been thinking of doing for awhile now. It would be much appreciated to have you as my client and make this a career. I already have three dogs with me. Having any animals stay over at my house will not be an option at all. My dogs can be very wild and not the best behaved around new furry friends. For the safety of your pet and mine it would be best to dog sit over night at the clients home if preferred. I grew up with many varieties of animals among the years and numerous cats and dogs. I have always been a huge animal lover and can't wait until I have the property and space to home more friends! Until then, I am eager to meet others' animals and help take care of them and give them lots of love! The very first thing I have always done at new people's houses with animals is greet all of the animals. I am a highly energetic individual with a strong eye that seeks to pay attention to the needs of other beings. I do not have a home space in which I am capable of taking in others animals currently, but I take care of the pets at the owners home this same way! First thing when I get home is to greet my pets and give them attention and love. I play for a little and then check to see the water bowl is full (and for my cats that the food is also - I know dogs are on a schedule). With dogs, I would regularly schedule times to take them out for walks - and make sure I match them for however they wanna walk! (Slow, adventurous, running a little faster) I make sure that I have plenty of plastic bags and treats to take with on the walk. I do not like to leave dogs alone for more than 2-4 hours. I love interacting with animals and giving them lots of attention!
