Allie also kept Annie safe during the heatwave, making sure to walk her early or skip the walk when necessary. About: I grew up around dogs. At just 10 years old, my mom involved me in dog sitting for a neighbor. I worked for her until I turned 18, cleaning kennels, walking the dogs, and dog sitting when she traveled. During college and afterward, I managed a dog care and senior dog shelter, dedicating my time to caring for the dogs. After work, I would walk the shelter dogs. “We have been traveling for a week and changing plans due to the lack of snow so we made a very last minute request and Emma was super flexible and communicative. She took great care of Minnie! Minnie can be anxious when away from home but was much calmer than usual when we picked her up. When Minnie needed space from Emma’s playful dogs, Emma gave Minnie her own space in the house. We got updates and photos during the day too. We highly recommend Emma and would use her again if we’re traveling in this area again.”

About: I am an animal lover that works from home, so I will always be around. I'm just looking to help you care for your pets while you are away. No complicated stuff or pricey add-ons here! About me - my husband and I have owned two beautiful Vizslas over the last 17 years and recently lost our 2nd one. I love animals, have plenty of experience caring for high energy and senior dogs (we cared for our dogs with arthritis, Cushing's Disease, muscle atrophy). I love walking, hiking and spending time with animals. I have a large 1 acre property and spacious home. No other pets, just me and my husband. I am perfectly happy caring for one pet at a time if you prefer your pet to be the only pet with me. I have also cared for friends' pets for a long time as well but am adding my services here to the Rover community. Thank you! I work from home full time, so I have a lot of flexibility. I am able to take breaks often during the day for potty breaks and walks. I am home almost everyday, but I do go out on weekends for a few hours at a time. I can bring your pet along on hikes and picnics if your pet is able to join. I prefer pets that can be left at home for at least 3-4 hours at a time and unattended. If not, we can discuss. Crates may be needed if they are unable to roam around the house alone. I have a large property, but it is unfenced, it is far from the road and our area is very very quiet, almost zero cars. I can keep your pet on a leash for potty breaks if they are prone to running away. My house is spacious and has two floors with just the two of us and no other pets. The stairs and floors are covered in non-slip rugs for pets. There is a baby gate to keep your pet away from stairs if needed. There are extra rugs for the floors if needed (our senior dogs used to slip a lot). I also have a large deck that is fully enclosed - no exit route. Since I am home almost all the time, I can take your pet for a walk and let them keep me company at home on the couch too! I can also come over your home and care for your pet there as needed (depends on length of stay requested).

The dogs have free-roam of the main level which has laminate flooring, but covered with carpet squares as one of our dogs does not like walking on hardwood floors. So, it is mostly carpeted for her comfort. We have a large sectional in which we allow dogs to snuggle with us while watching TV. The LARGE yard is mostly grass, some mulch/landscaped trees & shrubs, with concrete patio in which we spend a lot of time dining and reading. We pick up poop DAILY. During the evening, if you request your dog could be crated in the bedroom in which one of us is sleeping as dogs are pack animals and they don't like being separated from the pack. We keep them close to us. But, we want to keep everyone safe, so the crate is available (optional) for their safety as well as ours/our pets. But again, they are slumbering in the same room with us.

While we don't have a yard per se, we live in the mountains bumped up against BLM land with lots of hiking trails and areas to walk. Our dogs get exercised daily on the trails surrounding our home. With my at-home work schedule, I have the flexibility to take walks for my breaks and lunch hour and to get up and take care of things as needed through out the day. We get up early and go outside immediately so our dogs can relieve themselves then we go in and have breakfast. After breakfast, I start work while the dogs tend to relax on the bed behind me. I will take them out to potty again on my first break then on my lunch hour, we go for a walk through the forest behind the house. They get another potty break on my second break and then another short walk after I sign out of work for the day in the evening time. We free-feed our dogs but if we have other dogs in the house we will adjust the feeding and schedule to the visiting dog(s). We are normally in bed around 10 pm and our dogs are fully on our schedule for sleeping. If we need to step out for a bit, our dogs are good being left alone in the house but we do have a crate if needed for dogs that aren't good being left alone.

Together they don't pay my bills. Working with dogs and other animals for clients I have been thinking of doing for awhile now. It would be much appreciated to have you as my client and make this a career. I already have three dogs with me. Having any animals stay over at my house will not be an option at all. My dogs can be very wild and not the best behaved around new furry friends. For the safety of your pet and mine it would be best to dog sit over night at the clients home if preferred. Everything else is open.

We have dog run & areas and spaces to keep em cool and safety importantly maintained. We usually don't mingle with others and take note of any patterns or health issues.
About: My wife(Emerald) and I have experience as professional dog/house sitters. For two years we traveled with our own mobile dog grooming business. We are confident in our abilities to care for elderly and young dogs. We recently took care of a liter of 6 pups and momma till they were ready to be in their forever homes. About: I've taken care of dogs and cats ever since I was 10. I grew up with both and have always loved animals/pets! I'm very respectful and caring. I currently work full time as an accountant in Louisville, CO. I can work remote (anywhere) Friday. House sitting I can any time Fri - Sun. Dog walking I can 530 pm (I'm out right at 5) on Mon - Fri, and any time during the weekend! I of course will follow any instruction. Am fine walking, running with your dog. I'm also very comfortable if it's a dog not as friendly with others (in terms of walking etc).
About: I am a huge animal lover and my dog, Goose, is my world. I find genuine happiness in taking care of dogs (especially if they get along with mine!) and I have Rover sat/walked several dogs in both Denver and Jackson Hole. I know how important it is to give dogs walks, love, and treats! I have spent a lot of time training Goose and I would ensure I adhere to whatever rule a dog’s owner has. I love matching a dog’s energy whether that includes cuddling with them, taking them on walks/hikes, or playing in the park. I’m a sucker for giving them treats but am VERY strict about no human food and adhering to whatever dietary restrictions they have! Dogs are my therapy; caring for them happy makes me happy. I work from home half of the week and am happy to adjust my flexible schedule as needed to ensure any dog’s needs are taken care of, including mine. I always ensure I’m aware of a dog’s walking behaviors. I never walk without a leash and do not allow them to go off lease and in a public setting until I know I’m comfortable with them. I never give in to begging for human food and always ensure I shut crates appropriately as desired by the owner. I often reward puppies with small treats for positive enforcing behavior.

Allie also kept Annie safe during the heatwave, making sure to walk her early or skip the walk when necessary.
